But this one is a total bummer. It kept freezing if something was running in the background. then it would'nt end the level and not only did I have to close the game but restart my PC. such a PAIN!! Now halfway through the first play area, it's frozen and I'll have to start over. NOT HAPPY!! I'd rather they take longer and work out the glitches than for the money grab. If this is how it's going to go then this will be my last buy.

I gave a five star rating but I really missed the true Rube Goldberg puzzles like those that were done in the rest of the Ravenhurst games. But what a fantastic segue into so many possible games! What changed in the future is what I want to know? Not just for Dalimar but for the Master Detective? I love a game where the story begs more to come...but will it? I thoroughly enjoyed this game and was quite relieved that Emma was saved but disappointed that she was not the Raven haired beauty that I envisioned from the drawings of the original Ravenhurst. This game was very well done by GramMa Studios. But nothing will probably ever match the original MCF games. Alas, if only Adrian Woods was still the lead developer for MCF games.

What a great game!! It was interesting the whole way through and long enough to really enjoy. The story line was interesting and different. There were some similiarities to other games but there are only 7 stories in the world so that's going to happen a lot. But so well put together. About 20 minutes in I was excited and ready to sit back and enjoy. I took my time with this game because it has been so long since a great game has come out and wanted to savor it. Although the first 2 stories of the trial didn't make sense to the story or the life of the leading character, but that may be just my interpretation. I find that I usually have to play a game 2 or 3 times to see the relation to the main character. What ever the case it was still interesting and fun. Thanks EG and BF!!

I truly don't understand the poor reviews. Is it a vintage MCF, yes and no. The spirit of the game - yes! The old style of MCF- no, but a truly fun to play game! The puzzles were a bit too easy, I would have loved to see more difficult Rube Goldberg type puzzles like the old MCF games, but I've accepted that the old style of MCF is gone forever. I loved the story - really well thought out. I haven't seen a great game like this one for the past few years. The graphics were spectacular! The tasks and HOS's were mostly quite different. This game kept my interest and excitement the whole way through, including the Bonus Chapter - I usually don't like the epilogue but I enjoyed this one. The characters were fluid in movement and the dialogue was short and to the point. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners as the puzzles had very little guidance. Don't let the bad reviews scare you away from at least trying it out first.

I'm sorry, it was the same old same old Domini repetitive tasks but and I have to add the story line was pretty good. Nothing we haven't seen before but it was told well and it was done with nothing to guess at. I'm struggling tho with a lot of the puzzles I follow the directions exactly but nothing happens so I had to skip quite a few of them, not because they were hard because there seems to be some missing parts to the directions. It's 4 hours of my life I won't get back. Domini is not a bad developer but the constant tedious tasks doing the same thing with different ordinary objects has gotten extremely old. But hey they are the only guys left.... so we're left with playing their games or our old really good games. Which is what I'll be doing until something changes.
This was an absolute delight to play! Super duper creepy and so many cool and interesting rooms to explore. I do think this would be super challenging for someone who is new to adventure gaming as there is no serious hand holding and explicit directions which is what the newbies like and what has ultimately ruined Adventure/HOG's for those gamers that like some challenge and real adventure. I actually found it easy to follow but then I don't play on the most difficult setting. I still like to be entertained and not frustrated so I usually leave it so that sparkles tell me roughly where to go. I didn't use the hint much because I know to search every nook and cranny to move forward in the game. And I didn't use the map much until well into the game because I didn't need it until there was some back and forth between the second and first floor. Sure wish there were more of these games. But it seems we've lost all of the developers. I'm guessing because creating such intricate games requires attention to detail and it's cost prohibitive. Such a tragedy for us diehard Adventure/Hog gamers. I do believe we are seeing the end of our stint with this type of gaming. It was a good 10 years tho and I'll probably just replay my games over and over until they become boring or until Big Fish kicks the bucket.

This game was quite challenging cause I'm lazy and like to use the hint a lot. But you had to work for your hints in this one. I was a little disappointed that there was no strategy guide, but then it would have only taken me a few hours to complete rather than the 7 hours it did take. After what we've been getting for games in the last 2 years this was a very pleasant change. I'm more of an entertainment gamer but I also like something I need to strategize to play. Although, I wouldn't buy another one like this because it's pretty sneaky not giving a strategy guide so that it takes many HOURS to play (which is what most of us are complaining about, that and a decent storyline, and not mundane tasks over and over and over again) AND you have to work for every step of the game. There was repetition and a lot of going back and forth (mostly to collect the sparkly leaves for a hint). But it was interesting and held my interest the whole time. The story was not new but the mechanics were so I enjoyed this thoroughly. Definitely not for the faint of heart and for those who want easy or for those who like hand held direction. It is meant for those who are intermediate or expert for sure.

I live, yes LIVE, for these games. Suricate has the precise formula for a fun and interesting game every single time. I highly doubt I will ever get tired of this developer. I do prefer the CE's but I'll take what I can get. Thank you once again for a great playing experience Suricate!!

I actually had a lot of fun playing this game it was interesting, the storyline in the main game was pretty darn exceptional and it was coherent and made sense to me, so I'm surprised by some of the reviews that said otherwise. There were no Chimeras in the main story but the bonus game did have one and the story for the bonus play was actually pretty good as well. Now I've been playing HOG's/Adventure games for 10 years now and it isn't a really incredible game but definitely worthy of an excellent rating because it was interesting and fun. Weird title considering the main game didn't have Chimeras, so there's that. There were some tedious tasks but that's to be expected in these games. I keep hoping that something AMAZING will come along but I was content with the gameplay in this one. It won't work twice. Give it a shot at least, I think you will be pleasantly rewarded.
What is this garbage?? This is not a new game nor is it the "newest" edition. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures, but trying to pass off an old game as new is a new low for Big Fish.
