Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

I truly enjoyed the first two Ravenhearst games primarily because of the interesting storyline and good puzzles with not an overload of HOGs. With all of the negative reviews and the disclaimer, I hesitated for a long time to actually try this game.
I actually found the graphics to be excellent and the eerie noises helped to create a creepy environment. I love horror films and this game had to be the most edgy game I've encountered on BFG, with some fairly raunchy scenes. I could see how they could be offensive to the general audience and particularly children, but I liked and appreciated the risk the developers took to create a scary game. I'm just not sure how well it fit in with the previous look and feel of the Ravenhearst games, which is why I think so many previous Ravenhearst fans were shocked and disappointed.
A couple of drawbacks to the game I found was the level of difficulty in some of the challenges and I got stuck on more than several occasions, needing the assistance of the blog walkthru, which I don't like to use. Thank you Margie B. for your very thorough and accurate walkthru. The other drawback was the morphing objects which I found annoying and frustrating as I didn't understand how you were able to find many of the objects. A list of objects would have been helpful.
Now, would I recommend this game to anyone? I suppose it depends. If you like horror films and can deal with some intensely vivid scenes (such as trimming nose hairs) and like puzzle adventures then you might like this game. I wouldn't recommend it for children or the faint of heart or those who love HOGs as this game doesn't have any and finding the morphing objects doesn't count, in my opinion.
I tried this game expecting to hate it and instead there were alot of elements that I ended up enjoying. Try it if you dare.

As a sushi lover, I just had to pick and play this game. The Youda series of time management games has been quite a bit of a challenge for me in the past, to the point of frustration, so I was a little leary about trying this game. I did find this game to be challenging, but not overly so. I enjoyed it, with all of the different variations of sushi to make and liked the additional upgrades available to help improve your performance. I really liked that no matter how many times you played the same day, you collected money for your upgrades even when playing the same day over again. The main drawback to the game for me was how short it was. There were 6 restaurants and 7 days (for a week) at each restaurant, so I managed to finish the game in about 4 hours or so. No 2 days are quite the same, so you could replay it over and over again. I just like to have the goals built into the games. Also, I found it odd to not have the days completed visible on the main screen, so that you can try that day again. Just a minor critique, but overall I had fun and recommend it.
A TM game you can and want to play over and over again...

I truly enjoyed the game play and ease in controls over the different activities. I was grateful for the game showing you step-by-step all of the shortcuts in doing various activities. This game was highly addictive for me and I played nothing else but this game for several weeks and that's unusual for me as most games last me a few days. The game has story mode, expert mode, relax mode and challenge mode. Individual story mode has 120 levels and if you played each level over again, you won't have the same challenge every time. The game definitely made me hungry with all of the different foods and options for foods, so I tried to make sure that I had something to eat before playing the game. This game is definitely a great buy!
A cute time management game, sure to cheer you up!

I loved this game just as much as the second one as I started playing that one before this first version. The humming and chippering of the airplanes always bring a smile to my face. I enjoyed managing the airport by landing, taking off and servicing the planes with progressively more difficult levels. To earn awards within each level, the goals is to have all planes arrive and depart early, have at least 4 planes of a specific color at a gate, and be able to take care of other things that may come up such as an organ transplant, the President's jet, a woman in labor, and keep hot air balloons, sailboats, and blimps on the screen. Monies that you make allow you to purchase improvements for your airport. Overall, I really love playing this game and the challenges it encourages you to beat.

I've always enjoyed scary games and movies and this game definitely had some moments where it was thrilling, but not too scary for general audiences. The overall quality and design of the game was really good, and I really enjoyed all of the mini-games & puzzles and hidden object scenes, because there was no penalty for wrong clicks. There were also a few "magic trick" games that also helped create the mood of the Houdini theme. In addition to the strategy guide there's a blog walkthrough that helped me in a couple of spots that I was stuck, so that's always a plus for me. The storyline was a bit confusing at times and some of the character dialogue also didn't make sense, but overall in the end, it all came together. I actually enjoyed the storyline a bit better in the Midnight Mysteries 3: Devil on the Mississippi. Overall I liked this game!

I actually played the sequel to this game first "Go Go Gourmet: Chef of the Year Contest" and enjoyed it so much that I had to play this one as well#
The ingredients and cooking methods simulated real life cooking and I found it fun to find the various ingredients to make different meals for different customers under 6 different ethnic restaurant settings# The money you earn helps to ultimately build your own restaurant, so you play your final levels there# Along with the regular cooking rounds, there were a few bonus mini-games for each restaurant level that made it a little more interesting#
The background music and sounds of cooking were all relatively good and the graphics was detailed enough to be able to find the ingredients# I particularly liked that the picture of the ingredient stayed the same to be able to identify it easier, no matter which level you were playing (sometimes it changed size##
Overall a great game, and I also recommend the sequel game too, except make sure that you aren't hungry, because it will definitely build your appetite# But just in case you do, the game actually gives you great ideas on what to make# The storyline in the sequel game is a little more interesting than just the occassional calls to Grandpa on his expeditions in this game# #= Enjoy!
Interactive novel...definitely not your standard game

If you enjoy reading and loved to read Jane Austen's novels particularly Pride and Prejudice, then you will definitely enjoy this interactive novel.
At first, it seemed like a bit too much reading to me and actually was helpful in getting me sleep (which some games do have their purpose now and then), but I did find enjoyment in trying to come up with the 9 different alternative endings depending on which characteristics I developed and which decisions I made in conversation. Overall an intriguing game, but I think with this one, people will either love or hate this game. I don't think there will be many people in-between.
Easy game of mini-games, more designed for children.

The general premise of the game is to become a great frog to win the "dream frog" girl and fall in love. Cute concept. The game is essentially a number of mini-games with which you earn coins in order to pay for and play higher level versions of the mini-games you've played in order to develop your frog skills.
The mini-games are somewhat simplistic in my opinion, and includes a race of jumping on lily pads, matching butterflies, memorizing numerical sequences and collecting food orders in a marble blaster type format more, which I think are suited more for children and somewhat too easy for my challenge level. The graphics and music were ok, but nothing to write home or BFG fans about.
Will I buy this game as this review is based on just playing the trial version? Probably not as it isn't challenging enough for me, but I would consider it for my son if he shows interest in playing the game, as I would recommend this game for older children, since the concept is a bit young adult in nature.
Believable storyline, unique HOG, beautiful graphics and music!

As a mother of a 4 year old son, this game grabbed at my heartstings from the first moment I played it. Have you ever lost your child for a brief second, like in a store, and felt the terror of "where is he or she"? I know I have and this game brings you to those moments and grasps you in that way almost immediately. The graphics are crisp, vivid and clear and the music is melodic, relaxing and puts you in a mood of endearing sentiment.
While I am not the biggest fan of HOG's, I do tolerate them and this game makes them an adventure of them. There are many interesting, fun and unique puzzles to play throughout and many objects to find #with helpful guidance of shapes and words# to recover among several scenes. It's definitely an adventure type game more on a beginner and easier level. Definitely defines the "casual" gaming experience.
The challenges were somewhat easy for me, hence the game went rather quickly and was easily finished over several hours for me. Overall, I did really enjoy this game and would definitely recommend to any HOG'ers or gamers who are into less challenging adventures and puzzles to solve.
A fun and unique hidden object and time management...

I had actually purchased and played this game about a year ago. I did recall having problems with playing the game initially due to some major bugs it had, but ended up playing it successfully after reinstall. I played it again recently without any trouble and remembered why I wanted to pursue finishing the game.
The graphics are vividly clear and the storyline is fairly believable. I enjoyed rebuilding the restaurants. Somehow, it was therapeutic to clean the buildings, click away the trash and buy new features to beautify the exterior and interior of the restaurants. I also enjoyed the "Quests" of finding different items in an interactive game play to build or find needed items. I suppose that it was the "adventure" part of the game.
The main part of the game was cooking different dishes customers wanted by selecting the various food items, which I found fun even though some of the combinations of food items seemed gross and nothing I would ever cook together.
If you like TM games and prefer a little more pressure, then you can select "timed" game option in the beginning, however you may get frustrated with how the amounts and tips are derived to achieve expert level, because I could never quite figure out how the dish amounts and tips are derived. They are never quite the same and sometimes near impossible to achieve with the 3 or 4 customers you get in the level, even though you think you did everything perfectly and they all had full set of hearts. You definitely need to find the $ and other bonuses within the HOS to help.
The music was great and varied to fit the country and ethnic themes of the restaurants.
Overall it was a quirky and cute game. Definitely not your average HOG. A little on the short side as you can complete it in a few hours, but never-the-less a fun and unique game.
