Based on the trial The game starts out slow. I almost thought it was just a hidden object game with no puzzles. I had Five hops, not counting the 4 thing hop. They have the hops placement in the guide. Which I've been wanting. Then later I had like 3 puzzles, so relaxed that I don't think they are challenging for some people but it was enough for this adult. Which I like the relaxed puzzles the best. But that could change later down the road.
They have Harpies, Chimeras, Werewolf, Manicore and a Walking Tree so far. The Druid is your helper after a while.
I enjoyed shooting an arrow and the walking tree maze. One hops has a woman's closet with shoes, dresses and hats. I Love shoes, dresses and hats.
I seen a little blur in between scenes. It has 5 chapters. I collected morphs, hearts and something call Bestiary (Animal). The scenes are pretty with the woodland, Lily of the Valley and Venus Fly trap. I wanted it so I bought it on sale.
It doesn't seem right to have a game about a noble who got turn into what he is on the inside (A devilish dwarf) without him.
The puzzles are the ones I don't like, the fool with it kind. The hidden object had a limited sight one (in the dark). The matching pairs scene was constantly moving. I don't like hearing bang, bang. This game has the ick factor. I couldn't dislike it more.
I loved a lot of things about this game except the nearly invisible Phoenixes. I don't enjoy straining to find a collectible. It takes too much time just looking for some thing and not finding it. It was irritating. I don't like finding things from the guide. I had to put my monitor brightness on 98% just to find some. I did get all 68 of them but not on my own. It does have a good indictor in the main game but it went missing in the bonus with twenty one more to find.
In the extras on the collectibles. You have five Phoenixes that highlight after 5, 13, 23, 35, and 68. When you collect all of them you have PLAY there. It's a bonus Hop.
The scenes are really pretty and they have some things that move around in the scenes. Something that looks like a planet was spinning and in another scene it had sea turtles and sharks moving. In between some scene had some blur, it may have been intentional.
The hops are multi-layered. They are used more than once. With 14 in the main game and 4 in the bonus. The puzzles are very relaxed. Just the way I like them. I don't think people looking for a challenge would like it. The achievement are plentiful with 28. I have all of them, so it was easy going.
The bonus is what happens afterwards.
It has 4 Chapters + Bonus. 42 page guide. 13 concept art, 4 screensavers, 5 wallpapers. Replay 29 movies, 6 music, 17 hops and 14 mini-games.
This came out Feb. 2017 and I bought it when it came out and I just got around to playing and finishing it. It has 3 long chapters and the bonus chapter has part 1 and 2.
I Loved the unique storyline to this series. The storyline and gameplay are great. The bonus chapter is what happens afterwards and it's nice and has a happy ending.
I Love morphs and collecting. It was fun finding 28 morphs and 12 talismans in the scenes. The talismans are colorful in the scene, I was pleased.
I knocked a star off for the excessive amount of relaxed puzzles in a Hops game. 32 puzzles total and only 13 hops total. I bought a Hidden Objects Game not a puzzle game. I would have liked the Hops scenes to be bigger in scale to see them better. I did like some puzzles but I play for the hops.
The Achievements' page has a empty place where a stone mural of faces are placed to complete the gathering of stone statues. Bravo, it's nice looking.
For people who love the extras as much as me. It has replays of 5 soundtracks, 13 Hops and 13 select mini-games. I was happy to see the 3 screensavers, I use them for a while. 16 concept art and 14 wallpapers.
I just finished the game with bonus content. I didn't like the bonus chapter at all. Too technical and 16 puzzles and only 3 hops. Too many puzzles for a Hidden Object game!
The main game story is good. The story had three different surprises that are great. I like the Pyramid theme. They had a dark place that I was glad I had the guide. With only 15 hops and 21 puzzles in the main game it wasn't has fun as it could of been. There is one hop that is like a puzzle and 6 hops are with Glyph so it isn't lovely to look at. I didn't like the four shape hops and you had to identify the shape hops used. I did like the morphs in the hops.
They have a archaeology bag with some things, an axe is one of the items and I use it all through the game while that was great the extreme shaking of it was not. I don't mind the help but it could be a lot more subtle.
The Bonus is what happens afterwards.
Achievements, 4 chapters + bonus, 4 wallpapers, 3 concept art, 7 characters, replay 18 hops and the Ultimate puzzle. To sum up-18 hops and 37 puzzles total.
The Ultimate puzzle has 4 train carts each having a color and you have 4 different colored gems come out one at a time and you move the cart to catch the gems with the proper color. It can get really fast.
While I liked the main game, I was overwhelmed with puzzles, so I don't recommend it to Hops Lovers. If I wanted a puzzle game, I would have bought a puzzle game but that isn't what I wanted. I Wanted a Hops game.
I heard people try to describe the cartoon look and it looks like a genre my 20 something son is into, called Anime. I love the look and the lip movement is spot on.
This review is for the completed game with bonus and bonus content.
I Loved this game. Finally a Hops game with more hops. I counted 22 in the main game and 7 in the bonus, making 29 hops. The Hops are lovely and the fragmented hops seem easier in this game to me. It was delightful. I counted 13 puzzles in the main game and 3 in the bonus. You can only replay 9 select puzzles.
Playing a fairytale detective in Krakow, Poland in the Grak Kingdom with Dragonflies. I loved several fountains and waters. Especially the Frog fountain. I found my way around without trouble. I knew what to do most of the time. Sometimes I had to use hint for placement of some items. With 6 long chapters and bonus game Moonlight Romance which is a prequel. I think I had 10 plus hours into this game. Maybe I glazed too long.
I enjoyed collecting the 20 morphing cursed objects. I also collect 5 parables in the main game and 2 more parables in the bonus. You have 4 items for each parable to find, so 28 items. They are hidden all though the game.
I own all the Dark Parables in CE with my favorite being the Rise of the Snow Queen. The other games I own from the maker Blue Tea are HodgePodge Hollow, Macabre Mysteries: Curse of the Nightingale and Cursery: The Crooked Man and the Crooked Cat.
Achievements, 6 movie gallery, 5 music, 12 wallpapers, 24 concept art and 9 puzzles. 7 Parables.
Starting out I thought the nanny was funny looking. I liked the trial and gameplay. But later the gray hands with the long fingernails were just gross. There are parts I like and parts I don't. I liked the first half the most.
I liked the skull hops and it was used more than once. There are 11 hops in the main game and 4 in the bonus. There are 13 mini-games in the main game and 6 in the bonus.
I had one place that I had to put a bottle down beside the pestle before I could use the pestle.
I didn't mind when they had in the right sequence or order, Simon said and put the skeleton the same as the picture but I didn't like the match three, swap puzzle pieces or in the bonus a motion sickness puzzle.
The gameplay was a lot of find this and put it here or there. I like Haunted Hotel and Grim Tales, both by the same maker to be scary and it was not. My favorite in this series is Personal Nightmare.
I did have one or two surprises that I really liked.
Spoiler Alert...... I thought the Dynamite was amusing and the throwback to Mystery Trackers which this maker, also makes.
I think I'm giving it 4 stars based on the bonus content which I am really into. I love the 27 morphs, 13 morphing memory elements and 20 picture pieces. The 68 morphing objects in the secret room. It has replays on 15 hops, 4 music and 12 mini-games.
There are 14 hops in the main game and 4 in the bonus chapter. 18 hops all together. 4 are matching pairs which isn't my favorite.
The mini-games are relaxed. They all have skip. I counted 18 in the main game and 7 in the bonus. 25 mini-games.
The secret room which I mentioned that has 68 morphing objects is only in 4 rooms. You search these 4 rooms and when they are found in one room, the picture turns gray so you know you found all of them in that location. You have to choose them when they are morphed into the item your looking for. You are looking for 4 Crystals, 8 Schneider's Portraits, 12 Traveling bags, 16 Skulls, 8 faceless Strider and 20 Formalin Jars.
I would give the storyline just ok which is 3 stars. It has 5 chapters + bonus chapter. It's 864.7 mb. The guide has 40 pages.
I had tech problems so, it would be a good idea to try it first but I had problems in the 5th chapter so I guess it may not apply.
This Game came out Nov 2016 and I bought it Dec 2016 and I just got around to playing and finishing it Mar 2018.
It's has 20 beautiful hops with morphs. 16 in the main game and 4 in the bonus chapter. I would call these hops lovely.
The mini-games are the fun and relaxing type just how I like them. The bonus chapter had one with riddles and I liked it because it was zeroed down to six pictures so I could play it. It has 4 pop-up book puzzles that look neat. Also mazes.
They did a good job of making the space world come alive. Some of my favorite details were the Robotic briefcase, the moon port and popcorn and ice cream machines.
The first game in this series Light Advent is my favorite and this one is next. I wish they had the next one already.
The Bonus Chapter is a prequel.
The collectibles are 31 Rockets and if you missed one you can go back and get it. After I finished playing the bonus and had all my rockets I got a surprise. A Bonus Hidden-Object game. I also have a 40 piece jigsaw puzzle that can be replayed.
I really enjoyed this game. It's 5 Chapters + Bonus. Has achievements, 12 wallpapers, 22 characters (some have very unique names). Can replay 19 Hops and 10 Music.
Based on the completed game with bonus chapter and bonus material.
You have some new characters that I thought are great. Count Vladislar Dracul, Dutchess Carmilla Karnstein and Sir Francis Varney. These three deal with Bats, Roses and Wolves.
When I finished every thing even the Souvenirs, a book appeared on my main page. It's The Characters of Vermillion Watch. The tabs have members, associates and enemies.
I had a love/hate going on. I loved the storyline, hops, collectibles, morphs and bonus content. I even liked some mini-games. But the non-skip mini-games were a pain.
This is the fourth is the series with my favorite being the second one Fleshbound. The last one Order Zero had people held captive in the gas and this one held you captive with the scent spray. By held captive, I mean the player is held in the game for so much time before you can complete it. Is this put there for the player to feel the affect? I don't know but I don't like it.
In the beginning they had four dice with no reference. So I used the guide for the correct number of each dice. I heard guesses but I checked it out and I found no references. I would not play this game without the guide.
They had a three prong key that you had to ajust with no skip. I used like fifteen hints on that one. I didn't want to do it.
Spoiler alert.... I did find some mini-games I did like. The circular locks, star consulations, three heads falling and dress closet.
What I did like about the game is a good indicator for the 42 collectible blood drops and the 24 morphs in the hops. The morphs are more graphic moving and I like a object better. You can go back and get your collectibles and morphs at the end of the bonus chapter. I liked the three fact texts for the victorian era. I did notice that now I can read all of the text before it disappears so that is good.
The characters are entertaining and fun. Charmilla is so spoiled. But they had hops with jewelry and dress closet and I'm girlly so I loved it. Be warned she is also a snake lover. They had secret passages. It would of been a great time if they didn't have all those mini-games. I lost count after Thirty. With the no-skip on some of the mini-games it took away some fun. It makes you wonder if they have every gamer type beta testing these games.
The bonus chapter you help Maria Shelley.
This game has 5 Chapters + Bonus. Achievements, 12 Souvenirs, 9 concept art, 9 pictures and 9 wallpapers. You can replay 24 hops, 29 mini-games, 7 video and 5 music.
I would only recommend to those who don't have a problem with not skipping mini-games. I really do love the 24 hops.
