This is not a beginners game in my opinion as I am not a beginner and I Loved it. I don't want my games harder just relaxing and fun. You start out on a cruise and end up in Greenland. You search a Viking ship and then your off to different dimensions.
There are 7 chapters and the trial ends at the beginning of chapter 3. I would like to see this series without the dark doppelgangers. I liked shooting the canon.
You can use the gamma in the options setting to make the game lighter or darker.
I recommend this game!

It's a mystery. What does five missing Mafia bosses and missing children have in common? I Loved the T-Rex in the museum with Laura James and had the wallpaper up for a few days along with the Statue of Liberty wallpaper. I liked all the butterflies in the scenes. You have to write things down on your own so be prepared.
The gameplay just flowed and you picked things up and you knew where it went. I got a hand cramp for playing too long. The underground railway is so cool. I liked a whole lot of the mini-games. I liked the matching. The hops are too much like puzzles so I had to treat them as such. I like hops with a list better. No custom settings.
The bonus chapter Bishop called for me and I need to help him.
Find 35 phantom items (morphs). Find 36 collectibles like the Statue of Liberty and others. It has 8 Chapters + bonus. Relay 26 mini-games, 5 puzzles, 10 cut scenes and 6 music. Wallpaper 9 and concept art 19.
I recommend this game!

I really like the looks of this game. The tool bar is all Art Deco. The wheels on the moving city is so like a few movies I seen and it's so now. Balloon Ships in the scenery. It has some amazing creatures. It's a mystery. I liked all the hops and all the mini-games. Even the last mini-game. The challenge was perfect for me.
Using the Bestiary, I only had to find and add three items. Decorating Priscilla's office was nice. I saved up for the biggest furnishing like the stain glass window, winding stairs and bird cage. Then add my next favorite things. I stopped to read all the new additions of the inventions with info and the morphing geodes with info.
This came out December 2019 and playing it February 2020 made me like it more. Domini games are detailed and long. I'm slow because the gameplay is a puzzle in it self. I have to go constantly to the map to find available actions and repeat so the gameplay doesn't flow but they are great games but I can't play to many of their games in a row because it's so time consuming for me. I think it's high quality.
The trial ends in the middle of chapter 2. There are 6 chapters + bonus. I used the T-Rex bird wallpaper for a few days. I would prefer scenes without character in my wallpaper but the T-Rex bird is cool. The concept art has only scenes but aren't finished. Tasks has all the notes you find.
You collect 15 inventions, 15 morphing geodes and 31 Sapphires places. There are more than one sapphires when you pick up so it has 70 sapphires. I would like more collectibles.
The bonus chapter is a prequel and you have young Helen and young Victor in the Monster Hunter's Academy.
I'm tired of masked men. I'm not tired of Krakens, Leviathans, Golems and Carnivorous plants. I wished some days I had that fan invention on my shoulder.
Replay 18 hops, 22 mini-games, 37 videos and 5 music. Wallpaper 15, Concept Art 16, Priscilla's Office, Inventions and Spirit Geodes. Achievements.
I recommend this game!

This game has some truly gruesome scenes I wasn't expecting. As far as scary, I think it has the ick factor that I can live without. The scenes colors are muted and I prefer full on color. I only liked one puzzle and that was matching. It only has 4 chapters and father, mother and daughter switch places that you are playing.

I like the scenes, hops, morphs and collectibles more than I liked the story. It's beautiful. Your in Italy. The décor is olives with the leaves, grapes with grape leaves and geraniums. I would stop and just take in the illustrations.
I didn't like the dog lick or the dog actions mini-game. I didn't like the animal silhouette hops or associated pairs hops. At least they put these hops in the guide. I didn't like the last mini-game. I'm tired of masked men. I liked every thing else.
The map has actions available, tasks, achievements and notes. Trial ends at the end of chapter 2.
Collect two per scene of animals and morphs, 54 each. After you collect all of the animals in the bonus area they have collection. They have five animals you can touch and they will move. It will have play. This is a small silhouette hops where you find parts. I was disappointed with the silhouette small pieces. I would have preferred a beautiful picture with a list of whole items. It is replayable but I won't.
The bonus chapter you are working at the sculpting school and there is a cute fox like golem.
It has more Info on the main page which has the strategy guide (so you don't have to start the game in case you are counting up the morphs like I did). It also has credits and our games which list all of 4 Friends/Friendly Fox games and all in the series. Immortal Love, Living Legends, Edge of Reality, Dark City and Bridge to Another World.
Replay 13 hops, 13 mini-games, 6 music, 29 movies.
The concept art has the draft pictures and when you roll over them you can see the finished product. 8 wallpaper. 6 beautiful screensavers. 5 Chapters + Bonus.

I Love this game. Lovely hops. Relaxing puzzles, like matching roses, bats, mice. I wish the last puzzle in the main game and bonus game had a expanded version of the matching because I didn't like the numbered mini-games. I liked the similar match 3 type mini-game. The snail and the lion shield mini-games. I didn't like folding the map or the this + that, or the skeleton hops.
Some hops were used more than once and I didn't mind. They are so lovely. No trunk or tool box stupid ones. The last hop in the bonus chapter is a repeated scene with different items to choose and it didn't make it into the replays and I don't know why.
It has more info on the opening page which has Strategy guide, credits and our games. It's nice to open the guide after you finish the game without creating a new profile. Their games are Edge of Reality, Dark City, Bridge to Another World and Immortal Love.
I liked the 2 mice to collect per scene and 1 morph per scene. I had to redo the bonus chapter because after they were done talking in the very last scene, I thought I could pick up my collectibles. I was wrong. I didn't have to repeat the main game to replay the bonus chapter. I had to pick up the mice in the ballroom twice. In the bonus section you have the word collections. It has immobile mice and after finding so many mice in the game a mouse will move. When I touch the mice they play a instrument or sing. You can make one or all play by touching them. After I found all the mice in the game it had a mice puzzle that I didn't care about. I would have liked a elaborate matching mini-game instead or a elaborate hops.
The trial ends in part of chapter 3. The map has nice looking achievements, current tasks, review notes and events-can replay movies here while still playing the game.
I don't know why chapter 3 is called Lucille because you don't meet her until chapter 4. But she does have a picture of herself in chapter 3. Some placement of items are particular. Have to put down cupcake before the paper, put note on nail by the pumpkin, etc.
Some things look so real. The flowers in the bedroom. The marble cherubs. The magical clock Celeste that you put the crystal into. I don't often see a white peacock but I know they are real and I have a few pics of them and I liked the normal peacock.
This game has 6 chapters + bonus. Collect 58 mice & 29 morphs. Replays on 18 hops, 19 mini-games, 34 movies and 5 music. 8 wallpaper, 12 concept art and 5 screensavers. I think this game is worth full price.
I recommend this game!

I Love the beauty of this game and many others think so too. I Love a fantasy world and I love animals. There is nothing childish about that. Just sticklers against any thing fun. You have different animal territories. It's something to just want to stop and take in the beauty of the scenes. I really liked the Crocodile Island and city.
It's a very long game and the bonus is long too. I had to stop and play over several evenings. If I tried to do it all in one sitting I would become overwhelmed and not have a good time. I just wanted to enjoy it.
What I don't like is the actual count of times you find a butterfly. The guide has 33 butterflies. To say 70 is almost lying. There could be more than one butterfly in a location, like you find a box and you click on a butterfly and more than one comes with it but your only click once and not looking 70 times. There isn't as much collectibles as you think and you could be at a scene and not collect anything. I don't like it. But I did like the butterflies. 15 morphing statuettes with info. 15 stones.
I didn't like the blank lines hop or the this + that hops. I liked the rest of the hops. I liked most mini-games. Riding a dolphin was not fun. I did this puzzle several times and kept crashing. Guide said randomly generated. The easy answer in the guide for the bamboo spout is wrong. I like matching pairs. The achievements are just ho-hum.
They have some really nice Wallpaper that I used for several days. 20 Wallpapers and 20 concept art. Trial ends at the end of chapter 2. Replay 18 hops, 20 mini-games, 5 music and 32 videos. 6 chapters + bonus. Furnish your Tree house with butterfly points.
I recommend this game!

I've played a game with muses before and it didn't bother me to do it again. I like the arts. The gameplay wasn't smooth. I was scratching my head a lot. I don't think it was well designed. It doesn't have that flow. You can't care about the story with the poorly made gameplay. So that just made it a OK game in my eyes.
I liked being in Italy. Liked the food. The furnishing's and surroundings were very plain and I like fancier. I did like the muses and flowers scene.
I liked the hops and I Loved the flower and food (bruschetta) hops. I liked quite a few puzzles. Didn't like the create paths between each number and the multi mixed picture. I really liked making the potion once I figured it out. I also liked the relaxing mini-games.
Always love the extras. Collected two photos per scene and art palettes. I was happy to pick up what I missed in the end so I could open the Good Memories which is a hops. The paint by number didn't label the paint with numbers and I thought it should have.
The achievements are a muse scene and it looks nice. 5 chapters + Bonus. The bonus chapter is New Start. The trial ends toward the middle of chapter 2. Replays on 11 hops, 11 mini-games, 8 music and 29 movies. 8 wallpapers and 8 concept art. There is a muse and flower hop scene that I set for a wallpaper.
The bonus chapter is ok but Nathaniel should lead in both main and bonus chapters in my mind. He wasn't even in the bonus chapter. It's what happens after the main game and Alonso Ricci is a teacher.

Since this is a old game it doesn't have much of today's convenience. The guide doesn't state how many chapters or list chapters. It doesn't list the twenty hidden crown Insignias which is the collectible cards. The guide is on your tool bar and it fills in as you go and not everything. I got stuck and I had to go on-line to BFG blog walkthrough even with this CE guide. The map is part of a puzzle and does not let you transport or won't give you anything except a uses for a puzzle. Lots of back and forth. You have a guide. The game clears when you finish the bonus chapter as if you never played.
The tool bar doesn't lock. No difficulty settings. You have a voice attitude choice of normal, southern or snarky. The only extra is the achievements. In the guide you have a tab for 12 wallpapers and 12 concept art.
I liked the live actors. Some puzzles were very creative. The hops are too well hidden. I liked finding the cards. Some effects are way cool. It's a long game. Since I looked at the on-line blog there are 13 chapters + bonus chapter.
People consider it a classic but you have to decide if you can play without today's convenience.

I got this game with a coupon and I only got hung up one place in a later chapter. I liked the game so much I bought it in the Collector's Edition before I finished the game. The place I got stuck the hint quick working. The map didn't show where I should be either in this spot so I looked it up on the CE I bought.
Now I'm playing it again in the other version. What I liked so much about it was you knew what to do most of the time and it just flowed so much you didn't want to stop. My hand was crammed up by the end of the day. It has 8 chapters. You need to write things down. The hint and skip are too long. I don't usually like their type of hops but I treat them like a puzzle and I'm fine.
I recommend this game!
