In this Match 3 game your goal is to restore the ancient calendar of ages in order to prevent world destruction. Along with gathering the pieces for 8 artifacts that make up the calendar there is some interesting historical information associated with the countries representing each artifact. Each level displays different tiles with bonuses in some (lightening, bomb) for dropping off the board then collected for later use. Good graphics with music changes with each artifact. Some of the music was good while others tended to be annoying. Thank goodness for volume control! I agree with others about the frustration of not being able to make a match until the tiles had finished falling, this definitely was a slow down. Game play was relatively easy to start but once higher levels were achieved more challenge was evident. Not my most favorite M3 game, but interesting and entertaining.
I recommend this game!

Bought this game as a CE in August and was blown away at the authenticity in its development. Riveting story that keeps you on the edge. Well developed characters with real life believability, no stone was left unturned on this one. I don't want to say too much to give away anything. Just take a chance, experience it for yourself, you will not be disappointed. This one speaks and sells for itself! In my opinion the best of the Grim Tales!!!

Sometimes it's great to take a break from the serious HO/A games and just relax with an easy free flowing Match 3. This was a particularly fun one as you got to collect items to decorate your yard for Halloween by earning as many gold coins as possible within each level. Each level offered a different item to match as well as bonus' for dropping skeleton heads off the board. There were lots of other incentives as well and it definitely puts you in the mood for trick or treats, goblins, witches, pumpkins etc. that this time of year always brings. I totally absorbed myself with it all and suddenly poof it was over. I just might buy this little gem cuz you can keep going back to it when you are needing a break. It was full of new things to work towards and you could also time each level if you wanted a little more challenge. A fun game for the family or one to simply escape to on one of those dreary weekends. It will definitely cheer you up!

A fun entertaining sequel to "Web of Deceit, Black Widow." Your Uncle has requested your visit as strange disappearances have been occurring in the town of Transvaal. Your plane hits an unexpected sand storm and crash lands near your Uncle's house. Oddly enough he is nowhere to be found, and so the story continues. There are 3 play modes, an interactive map and a brief but good recap of the previously related game. Throughout the game you are kept abreast of what is going on, which I found helped me stay focused and on track with the happenings within the story. Music was great, fitting the story's suspense well. HO scenes were quite busy but manageable. Mini games mixed, some old and some new with enough challenge to be entertaining. Easy to follow game play with some fun twists and turns along the way. All in all a very pleasant experience, I enjoyed this game as much as the first one.

What a funny little game! It seemed to go all over the place and yet felt like nothing really exciting happened. Graphics were good, music okay, but characters were kind of kiddie like. Game play was easy, lots of hand holding which makes me suspect it will appeal to a younger audience or beginners. Thank goodness for the map, it at least helped keep me from chasing all over. I didn't hate it and at times it was sort of fun in a childish way. I don't feel it has the quality of a CE, it simply doesn't have enough challenging content. As I only played the demo I can't condemn it entirely, maybe it got better as it progressed, one can only hope! Sadly, I will pass on this one for now. I may reconsider if it becomes a daily/weekly deal.
I don't recommend this game.

Another great one from Elephant Games. Review based on demo only. Three game levels to choose from with good directional map. Characters very real, not only physically but voice overs full of emotion and believability. I so enjoyed Dr. Bors, the mad scientist! Graphics are clear, sharp and colorful and music is wonderful adding a nice edge to the suspense of the story. Some challenge to the HO scenes with fun involvement of inventory items, Mini games good fun as well. There was a beautiful flow to this game, no frustration with where to go or what to do. A game that just had it all! I hated to see the demo end but this game will be a definite buy for me! Perhaps the best Surface in the series.

I loved the other 2 games of this series, but just couldn't get into the groove of this one. While the graphics were colorful and music blended in well without being overdone, I simply could not connect to it. In fact I didn't even finish the demo. Can't put my finger on it but the game grated on me. I found the Storm Cat annoying, and, Fiona's character lacked the dynamic of previous games. There was lots of moving about which took away from the game's fluidity but apart from that it seemed slow & quite boring. The mini games and hidden object scenes were okay but didn't jump out as unique or exceptional, they were just okay. I guess overall I am betwixt & between with this one, I wanted to love it, barely liked it and in all honesty will not buy it. But because I didn't finish the demo it would be unfair to pan it entirely. Thank goodness for differences in opinion!

My goodness, where did this game come from? I couldn't surpass 21 minutes and even that was tedious. This game seemed like a bad blast from the past, no voice overs, just boxed dialogue, mundane, slow music, HO scenes cluttered, and mini games sad. Graphics were clear & sharp but everything seemed so busy. That being said I suppose (and would hope) that the expert level would be more challenging however I just couldn't go there, I was totally done in my 21 minutes. I do feel somewhat uncomfortable being so negative and hope I am not offending anyone who may feel differently. It's just that things have come a long way in the gaming world that a game such as this takes us back to somewhere we don't want to be. Sorry, not for me!

I was drawn in from the get go, loved the story line, somewhat different than other family adventures. Going back in time with the aid of a family heirloom to try and stop your cop father from being shot is a very unique plot with twists and turns that keep you riveted. Well acted voice overs, wonderful graphics, and music adding suspense where appropriate. HO scenes were a nice change and while mini games were not all new they still added fun to the game play. A very smooth flow yet kept you on the edge. Does she save her dad or doesn't she? Not much I didn't like with this one except that there wasn't much more in the CE to warrant my vote, so the SE is for me!
I recommend this game!

Creating a device to connect dreams to the real world makes for a great story, however this one fell a little short. Characters didn't seem real, more cartoon like and also with no lip movement. Graphics and color was good and clear. Not a lot of substance in the game play, there was too much predictability. HO scenes were basic and puzzles for the most part were not very difficult. I didn't not like it, I was just disappointed overall, it could have been better. Maybe a good one for beginners.
