I loved this game. It has about everything you could want from a HOG. The storyline was interesting and the artistry was detailed. I need to get the rest of this series!
I didn't even play this game through 3 scenes. It plays like the old video games with the characters walking from place to place. NO hint or help that I could find and TOO much conversation between characters.
Since there are already so many good reviews that I agree with I'll only make a couple of comments on the game. Although the hint button was great help, it often pointed to ALL the places you could look for the next clue. I didn't see the "?" in the upper left corner of the mini games to see what I was supposed to do until late in the quest, which left me puzzled with many of them.
Great overall game. I didn't have to use the strategy guide because the hint was so helpful. If you love the mini games, you'll love the bonus features in this game
This has to be the most complex and involved game I've ever played. SOOOO many locations and things to do. The help/hint button was annoyingly slow and many of the items were impossible to find without a hint. Otherwise this game is great fun and challenging.
Just finished the trial and HAD to have this game. As a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean this game was a must have. Well drawn and the voice overs get your attention. HOGs and puzzles (so far) aren't impossible to solve.
This game is for expert HOG players! I only had one HOG that I finished without using the hint button. The puzzles were equally difficult!! One really nice thing about this collectors edition is that you can replay the puzzles and HOGs to better your time. The hint button took about 45 seconds to recharge but was worth the wait. when I got stuck.
This series of games is one of the best on BF. The story line was captivating and the games great. Thank goodness for the built in guide. Well worth the money. The bonus game for getting 40 clovers is nice (unlimited HOGs). You also have achievements to try for; like solving all the puzzles or finding all the HO in under a minute.
This game has all the HOG scenes arranged on one page, you just have to click on the one or two that are open for you to choose. One thing I didn't like about this game is the puzzles....it was a variety of the same two puzzles. The HOGs were mostly rooms filled with junk that you had to clear the junk away in order to see the room. Too many silhouette games. The mis-click penalty was funny in that you had a newspaper and had to swat a ghost out of the room before you could continue the game. The hint button only refilled if you could catch 4 faeries that would appear flying around the scene. Some language and objects may be inappropriate for young players.
