I don't normally buy time management games but this one's ratings got my attention. I found it addictive! Although aimed at younger players, the cartoon atmosphere of the old video games was very enjoyable. Hatching and caring for the RIGHT dragons for each chapter proved to be somewhat of a challenge. Lots of goals completed before you had to play a level (earn x amount, collect x amount) Nice that you have a chance to go back and play the chapters in order to get more achievement awards.
Follow Tom as he tries to keep the holy Grail out of the hands of Totenkraft. Tom believes that Totenkraft has kidnapped his sister and travels in time to save his sister and the world. Two different HOGs (one straight forward HOG, the other finding items to assemble to create yet a different item). Puzzles weren't too hard and the hint button gives you both direction and reveals objects. Graphics were really good, but some objects you almost HAD to use the hint to find. Very worth the money.
This is a good game for beginners. Straight HOGs with no running around looking for objects in multiple locations. Puzzles are pretty easy, no head-banging difficult ones. The hint button refills fairly fast and is unlimited.
This was the first game in a LONG time I deleted before I finished. Too much dialog, no tutorial and no sign in. The only good thing I can say about this game is the hint button recharged quickly.
This game is pretty complex so it's not for the beginner player. Good storyline and "live action" scenes. Lots of places to explore and a fairly long game with a few good giggles to boot.
I loved this game. It's complex and different from most of the other HOGs. Some of the scenes can't be completed until you get an object from some other scene and return to put the two objects together. Well drawn and acted. Loved the "shortcut" map you could use to navigate the world without having to run through those places you don't have to deal with at the moment.
A mysterious fortune teller has foreseen her demise at midnight this very day. Can you find the soul who seeks to kill Madame Fate? You be the detective.
If you like difficult games, try this one. Timed levels don't allow you to just sit and study the scene. Add morphing items and brain straining puzzles and you have a puzzle the experts should enjoy. Some of the HO scenes are extremely aggravating because the items either blend into the backgrounds or they are SO TINY. I still enjoy games like this because they do MAKE me think.
Basic storyline is that your stranded on an island and you're trying to find a way off. There are many chapters to complete like the upside-down house and 3 doors. The HOG are different in that they are a little more complex. Sometimes you have to find the item in plain view, sometimes you have to move an item, then you may have to put the item together! Some of the puzzles are difficult but the hint/skip button recharges fairly fast. The ending does leave it ope for a third game.
I normally don't buy the collectors editions because they usually aren't worth the extra price, but this one was WELL worth the extra money! Great graphics and a gripping story line. I didn't have to use the hint button until the extra game. For the first time I actually left the music on, I normally turn it down. The bonus trophies you get for the HOS (not using hint button, speed in finding items, etc) made the game MUCH more interesting and challenging. Not too hard yet not and easy game.
