You are put into "escape room" type of scenes like train cars, labratories, space ships, deserted islands, etc. The premise is to "escape" from each scene by gathering clues that usually lead to multiple mini games, until eventually, you get to escape. It has 20 scenes in the game and each area isn't easily escapable! It would be a very enjoyable game if it wasn't for the incomplete and often times confusing instructions for the mini games! Some directions are clear cut, others are so convoluted in their wording that you're left scratching your head saying "What??" Fortunately, the skip button is there from the start. The mini games offer no hints whatsoever. The scenes however do offer a hint button that recharges almost instantly. Some of the locations have shadowy areas that contain clues, but they're so dark you overlook them and need that hint button to continue. I would give this game more stars if the mini game instructions were clearer. If you love frustrating challenges, then this game is for you!
I can't believe that this game is a one-and-only! Introduced in 2012, and nothing else has been put out like this for over 12 years?? Why not? This game is challenging and FUN! A combination of HO, puzzle, and music! Find hidden (and cleverly hidden at that!) messages left by your grandfather. When you find enough, you get a musical puzzle you need to put together correctly for the tune to play the way it was written. There are several rooms, all with hidden messages to find. Many of the tunes you will instantly recognize. A few may not be familiar, but that's part of the challenge too! I loved this game and bought it!

I tried the free CE trial and this is a definite buy for me. I read the CE reviews and gained a lot of info on how to play the game. Mya is drawn into a magical book that is inhabited by a sly cat. Mya can only go home again if she solves the puzzles the cat has made. In each scene, there's a goldfish bowl with a lock on it. Solve the puzzle, find the key, unlock the goldfish bowl, and go on to the next puzzle. The puzzles are silly, and fun, with strange but adorable graphics in each. This is a game where you have to use both imagination and logic. I hope this developer keeps on sending us challenging games like this! If you read the CE version reviews, you'll get a better picture of how this game works!
I was rolling along with the game, the graphics, the storyline, and all was great until I got to a solitaire game and couldn't end it! I ran out of cards to turn over and still had cards left to play. There was NO WAY to end the game! There is a free "Wild Card" but you have to wait about 2 minutes for that to recharge to put on the pile to play a remaining card. If you have a lot of left over cards on the board, forget it! Not one I will buy.
Why oh why did the developer go backwards on this game? World of Art 3 at least told us the name of the paintings and the artist! Why give a "certificate" with each painting's HOs completed? What good are they? Should we use them to populate an empty art museum afterwards, and go see the real paintings? No. The storyline is long and drawn out. I hope that if there's a World of Art 5, they listen to us, and give us more art information and make this series more fun.
I was intrigued by the 5 star reviews, and gave this game a try before I buy. The preview was fun, so I bought it. Little did I know that in addition to the occasional HO scene, there would be so MANY, MANY bingo games! Sometimes, there are two bingo cards at once in the same scene, and rolling balls that you have to pair with your cards' numbers to get rid of them. I have run into 4 bingo games in a row! Enough already! So, for me, this was a "sorry I bought it."
I have two of the previous Lost Amulets games. This one has finely detailed graphics, and the HO scenes are challenging. That said, the mahjong games are too numerous, and the only way to remove the tiles is to find the matching tiles displayed at the bottom. I wish they would have alternated between matching two tiles, and matching the tiles at the bottom. I like that the bingo game on the casual setting, has the balls roll by slowly for those of us without the manual dexterity of youth. Relaxing and fun.
I have the 7 previous Spellarium games and THIS one is by far, the most fun! Spellarium 5 through 7 had exploding bombs that were aggravating. All the tokens are new in 8 and colorful! The game itself is actually relaxing and challenging. I especially like that there's a mini-game after just a few of the match three scenes. There's a version of Mahjong, cards, and spot the difference mini games. Although there is no timer per say, after finishing a level, it lets you know how long it took. I try to attain my own "personal best" rather than worrying about a timer running out. Thank you Big Fish!

How wonderful is it that this developer came out with a game that's simple and fun? No story line to follow, no running back and forth from one scene to another to accomplish one task. It is a whole boat load of puzzles of all types! So many in fact, it'll be a long time before I get through all of them, and I don't want to! I want this game to go on and on! Thank you Big Fish for listening to us and giving us this type of genre! Try the 1 hour "try before you buy" and you'll be hooked!

I have several of the other Clutter Games, and they are very entertaining, but, Clutter 1000 has way too many smiley face puzzles to go through! As usual, the graphics are top notch, and the variety of items to match up are exceptionally well done too. In fact, the chocolates are so realistic, I craved chocolate the whole time I was matching them! Thank goodness I had M&Ms on hand! The fun factor is still there so I'll keep playing!
