Personally the game didn't grab me although there were aspects of the game that I quite liked. The HOG's were different and quite fun and if you didn't want to do them there was an alternative game you could play. I confess I'm a bit of a 'hint' person but on this game I used it very rarely but the 'skip' button got used on some (most) of the mini games. My one BIG grief with the game was that wretched bow and arrow that you had to fire. I'd get the target lined up dead centre and fire and a caption would appear on the screen and I'd have to try again and again and again...... Almost started to pull my hair out in frustration as you couldn't skip it. All in all the game passed some time when I had nothing much else to do.
Call me a doubting Thomas if you wish but I found it hard to believe (after reading several reviews) that there could possibly be that many HOG's. Trust me there were and I only played the demo. I battled my way through them until the last 14 minutes by which time I'd had enough. I was HOG'd out... For you HOG fans, this is the game for you. Beware if you've poor eyesight though, at times my nose was almost on the monitor. No map, no hint other than for the HOG's but I found the graphics ok and the music too.
I enjoyed playing A Christmas Carol so much that as soon as I finished it I downloaded Nutcracker. Needless to say the graphics, music, mini games etc were all up to elephant standard but somehow the game lacked the sparkle that 'A Christmas Carol' had. So if you want festiveness to go with the time of year and a certain amount of je ne sais quoi - stick with A Christmas Carol
An absolutely charming game. I'm playing it just a couple of weeks away from Christmas and it's putting me in the festive mood. Take no notice of the diehards who say it veers away from the book 'A Christmas Carol' written by Charles Dickens. So what ? Does it matter ? No.... Anyway, it sticks to the basics of his story so what the heck - it's Christmas, well nearly. Happy Christmas everyone and enjoy the game.
Thoroughly enjoyed this game. Yes there was a little bit of trotting back and forth but nothing too serious. Actually I cheated a bit as I made notes of everything that I had to find. Well if I didn't I would have forgotten what they were ! Personally I didn't find it at all scary although having said that I didn't like the black cobwebby lines coming at you if you clicked one too many times. The HOG's were easy for the most part but for some of the mini games I resorted to skip. An age thing perhaps ?
Let's get farming in this unique Hidden Object farming simulator hybrid! Harvest the perfect crop, sell it at the market and search the farm for treasures!
Took me a long time to find this game, been downloading various M3 and HOG demos for a while looking for the right game. Read the reviews on this game and thought I'll give it a go - and then bought it !
It's honestly like a breath of fresh air, I found it relaxing to play and even the music (which I normally turn off# was ok. The objects in the HO's I personally didn't have any trouble finding - and believe me my eyesight is failing.
The graphic's #not that I know much about these things) I found crisp and colourful and I loved the interaction between the character's - quite amusing at times. Often in games I would skip these bits but not here.
The only problem I had was not always being able to get the extra's you could achieve with each HOG. Probably me not understanding what I should be doing. Been playing for a couple of hours now and have only had to skip one puzzle game. Just couldn't work it out but again it was probably just my aging brain.
