Cursery is as much fun and as beautiful as the Dark Parable series. Much of the concept art is as lovely as the wallpaper, and I'd like the option of downloading those to my laptop pictures gallery, too.
More, please...

You wouldn't think this is a collectors' edition HOG. Art and storyline are first rate, though. I look forward to whatever comes next in the series.
I recommend this game!

Yet another game I bought after trying and loving its look and story.
I've restarted it 3 times, and have ended up in the exact same place: a ticket and a rope as my only available resources with no way to use them. I'm not interested in having one road map to completing a game, but apparently I've really got to follow the strategy guide to get it done.
Just don't know right now if I'll ever try to complete again or if I recommend it...

I don't fault ERS for trying something new, but I would have enjoyed the story more if the game were a traditional HOG.
I don't recommend this game.
Defeat the King of Demons and find a way to get out the Cursed House once again, banishing evil spirits, ghosts and demons from the house!

I can do without the persistant nudges to try the first. Put those suggestions someplace else, like in Options. But, if there's a 3rd I'll buy without playing the trial.
I recommend this game!

I chuckled as I read all of the negative reviews of Gothic Fiction. I don't disagree with the members:
~ Don't buy if you're looking for HO.
~ Don't buy if you prefer beautiful art to human actors.

What saved this for me was playing in hardcore mode. I need to admit I'm curious about how Mom finds her daughter, so I will probaby spend 2 credits on it later.
I don't recommend - I kinda recommend - YIKES!

I bought this because I tried and wanted The Exiled Prince, and decided to start the series from the beginning.
Soon as my profile was created, I was immediately disappointed that I couldn't choose expert or hard mode. Then I was annoyed at an HO with shapes to find to put an object together, rather of finding whole objects. But, the more cursed objects I was able to recognize, the more I enjoyed the play.
When i was done, I intended to start the bonus section and accidentally hit Play - which opened to HARD MODE! That was a treat - if you enjoyed it the first time, play again.
I recommend this game!

I purchased and really liked Mystery Age: The Dark Priests and I looked foward to the next story. This is as beautiful as the other, but I was irritated by the bubbled dialogue. Prefer to have a diary to read at my leisure...
I don't recommend this game.
Down by the deep and muddy Mississippi, something’s not right. A ghostly riverboat brings to light a new conspiracy!

...kept me engrossed until the bonus section was unlocked, and I had to try to find at least a few bones before closing. I've purchased all Midnight Mysteries and this was the best yet: as good as the Puppet Show series for story-telling.
I recommend this game!

Took me 13 hours to complete this thing in hard mode; the puzzles seemed to increase in difficulty as it progressed. I loved the unusal collaboration between the vampire and vampire hunter. Also loved the score and sound effects: agree with antarctic1234 about the love bite and bit every enemy!
I recommend this game!
