I liked very much 'Greatest Cities 3' and 'Greatest Cities 4' from this developer, and now without the 'Roman Numerals' type of board, this now has to be at the very top of the mosaic genre!
There are now 3 types of board, with both the 'Mystery Lands' and 'Labyrinth' ones being innovative, animated, and a joy to play. Graphics are fine with bright colors, and games are based on logic, with no need to use a hint. There are degrees of difficulty to suit all players. Thank you Tigames for a great mosaic game!
I recommend this game!

I have to agree with other reviewers who say there are issues with color differentiation with the tiles. It just makes it too much like hard work to play the game. It's a shame as most other aspects are top notch. Fix the colors and this would rate higher I'm sure.
In the meantime, if you are tired of the penguin and want more challenge and innovation in a nonogram, then try any of the 'World's Greatest Cities Mosaics', especially 3 and 4. They have introduced some innovative aspects which work very well, and are a joy to play.
I don't recommend this game.

If you are a Match 3 or Puzzle fan, don't pass this one up!
You fire tiles from the edges of the grid in order to remove all the tiles on the grid, matching 2 or more tiles to do so. Various power ups assist you along the way. Instruction is minimal, but it's mostly self-evident if you are a seasoned Match 3 player. Graphics are top notch and game mechanics perfect. Can't comment on the sound, as I didn't have it on.
All in all, a wonderful gaming experience, and a game I think all fans of the genre would like.
I recommend this game!

Limited Moves Mode Has Its Flaws

Having completed this game, I thought I'd share my thoughts on the 'Limited Moves' mode.
On the whole this was an enjoyable game to play. However, in Limited Moves mode, the devs have created a difficult game with much challenge. I managed to get through all the levels up to level 57 with a lot of repeat playing of the levels, and by carrying-over power-ups from a previous level.
When I reached Level 58, I came to the conclusion that this level was not solvable with the number of power-ups provided. In the end, I resorted to the game forum, where one of the posters had worked out that the difficult levels could only be accomplished by starting the level with the maximum number of power-ups (3) already loaded from previous levels (I got mine each time from the Tutorial levels 22 and 26 - these ones are the most powerful). By doing this, although somewhat cumbersome in that you have to go back to the Map to re-open these levels and get the power-ups, you can actually solve the level. (In the above two mentioned levels, you just play enough in each to obtain the power-ups, which is usually in first few moves, then go back to the level you're playing with your arsenal of 3 pre-loaded power-ups.)
At any one time, you can only have 3 power-ups loaded, and this is where there is a flaw...unless you are able to keep a count of what you have (there is no indication of this), you can easily run short for the task needed. It would have helped greatly if the number of each type of power-up you have was shown. You also have to be careful that you don't negate power-ups you already have, by releasing the ones in the level, as you can have only a maximum of THREE loaded. i.e. If you have two loaded, and you release two more, one of them will be lost.
Although the above ploy works, I think it is a cumbersome way of playing the game. I believe that there should be enough power-ups provided in each level to actually solve the level. You shouldn't have to resort to replaying previous levels to do so.

This would have been a five-star game as most aspects of it are superb, but playing on the harder mode, I found the seventh board was not completely solvable with logic. I had to use hints to finish it.
That is a deal breaker for me. In my mind, these games should not be available for sale if the logic factor is not proven. I can't recommend a mosaic game if this is not so.
I don't recommend this game.

Pennmom36 has done a great job of reviewing this game, so there is little to add. The innovations presented are well thought out and work well. It will take you a while to get used to the these new formats, but persevere and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Both of the two new variations require patience and care, if you are to get the 3 stars for them. You cannot make a mistake in these to obtain the three stars.
In the demo, the five puzzles I got through were done completely with logic.
For these new variations to succeed, logic would have to be certain, so I am cautiously optimistic that the logic will continue. If so, this will set a new standard in this genre, making the penguin look quite mundane in comparison.
I recommend this game!

I agree with others regarding the slowness of the battle part. Needs to be greatly sped up, or done away with entirely. It really slows down the game.
A revamped edition would be welcome, perhaps without the battles part, but with a few other frills. The concept however is excellent. Two and a half stars.
I don't recommend this game.

I have the first in this series and have enjoyed playing it very much. To see number 2 appear, fills me with delight.
Others have espoused its virtues, and I concur with them.
Everything is here including animated scenes unfolding as you play. It's a pure delight in the world of mosaics with all its innovations. It just puts the penguin to shame.
If you want much more than just a basic mosaic game, you must try this. You won't be disappointed!
I recommend this game!

This is an excellent Match 3 game, despite its look. The more you play, the more interesting and intriguing it gets.
The main reason I've popped in here is to clarify the replaying of a level to obtain 3 stars.
After buying the game, I delved into this apparent 'overlook' in the game, and have since found someone in the 'game tips' has also discovered it...
Whilst you are playing, the 'star bar' at bottom left of screen starts off with 3 stars. As you progress, this drops to 2 stars or less if you have not got the number of stone tiles required at this point. At bottom left of screen, there is a 'pause' button. Click on this, and you have an option to restart the level. So, you need to keep an eye on the star bar during the game, and when it drops to 2 stars, hit the 'pause' button and restart.
The option for replaying a level should have been made available as soon as you have completed the level (like most other games of this type), as to most people the above is not obvious at the start. Maybe this will be provided in a possible game update?
I recommend this game!

GoodOldDad is correct in his assertion that Level 8 needed either using a hint or guessing, a deal-breaker for me when it comes to these games.
However, it's only in 'Advanced' mode that this error occurs. I switched to 'Casual' mode, and it is not apparent there because more numbers at the sides of the grid are already crossed off.
This is unfortunate, as it otherwise looks a decent enough game of this genre to me.
I don't recommend this game.
