So glad to see another Hero of the Kingdom. Like the previous games in the series, game play seems a little old school but extremely engaging. Beautiful music, great art, lovable characters, and an addictive story line made this a definite buy. The other reviewers' details are accurate especially for Fishies who have never played this series before. The game runs great on my old Windows7 Acer Aspire. As always, try before you buy.
I recommend this game!

This is a cute game that doesn't require a lot of concentration or serious strategies. Works very well in full screen on my Win 10 Acer One with the little screen. Enjoyed many other farm games similar to this one but they won't run full screen on my Win 10 or work with the touch screen. Match-3 game play can be timed, limited moves, or relaxed with unlimited time and moves. Have been able to move crops, buy animals, water, and harvest with both the track pad/mouse and touch screen. The mouse is more accurate but the touch screen works well with this game too. Bought it. Recommend it for anyone who likes farm games and match 3. PC systems vary and you just don't know until you download a game and try it out. As always, try before you buy!!
I recommend this game!

The entire Build-A-Lot series requires strategy. Not fast clicking. Not watching workers while they fetch & carry. Each game in the series has different features. I'm sure the developers were trying to add something to each game to make it more enjoyable. This B-A-L game features gnomes, optional goals, and a really fast timer. Not my favorite in the series but one I'll tackle in earnest. None of the B-A-L games have a 'relaxed' or 'un-timed' feature. That would make it a SIM game and not strategy. Re-playing levels is required because they often come up with a new goal near the end. And, the layouts change with each restart. Sometimes, a restart gives a better set up than the original. Anyone who doesn't like builder games won't like this one any more than the rest of the series and should stick with repetitive clicking games. Anyone genuinely interested in playing the B-A-L games can watch players on the video website and get the feel of the strategies involved. I recommend this game to anyone interested in using their brain instead of their fingers. I have the entire series including this one. Yes, they're challenging but fun.
I recommend this game!

Overall, another fetch & carry game. Different story line made it interesting. Has two modes accessed by checking/unchecking "very difficult" box. "Very difficult" is really challenging and you can run out of time if you don't figure out what's needed and not necessary. Unchecking the "Very Difficult" box puts it into a relaxed mode where the timer doesn't move. What's nice is that you can play the same level timed or not timed without starting the entire game over. Most TM games require starting the game over from the beginning if you change modes. I especially enjoyed the music. While repetitive, the pan pipes were a great sound. Bought it on sale. Recommend with reservations preferably on sale.
I recommend this game!

This is a typical fetch & carry game. Graphics and story line were good. Music and sound, tolerable. The puzzle pieces were easy to find. Complete the puzzles to play the bonus rounds. Played relaxed first then casual after. Playing relaxed doesn't give you any stars. The games states that completing all the levels with 3 stars will build something. Nothing was ever built in the SE version. I completed all of the achievements but never made the final 'completed all the achievements' trophy. In the CE, there's a 'theft' achievement that seems to be missing from the SE version. Looks like the developers just slapped the SE version together from the CE version without changing the programming. Could have been 5 stars if everything worked. The CE really didn't merit the higher price. I recommend it with reservations for anyone really desperate for a TM game preferably on a BOGO or sale date.
I recommend this game!

I had purchased all three Rainbow Web games when they came out. I've replayed each of them numerous times on my Window 7 laptop. Randomized game play makes each level unique. This is a challenging yet distinctive Match-3 type of game with a story line. There are timed and relaxed modes. Right now, I'm re-playing it on an Acer One with Windows 10. The Acer One is about the size of a tablet. Although the Rainbow Web games won't work in full screen mode, game play is perfect and the graphics are very visible. Enjoying the games once again.
I recommend this game!

Almost bought this without trying because the previous games in the series were so great. Extremely disappointed in this one. I completely agree with the 2 and 3 star reviewers so I won't repeat. The absolute worst feature was the bubble pop-up blocking large portions of the game screen. Never saw a cafe I needed because of the pop-up from another building. Recurring pits were annoying and unexplained. Sad end of an otherwise great series. Won't even wait for the SE.
I don't recommend this game.

No relaxed mode. Sound effects are annoying at best. The graphics aren't always easy to see. For example, the gold mine colors match the gold. I didn't always pick up when available because I didn't see it. Clearing the road isn't challenging as much as confusing because the grays all blend with each other making the road difficult to pick out. Especially where there are overpasses that just look flat. The orcs are a nuisance. Everything stops when they're around but it's often impossible to build the barracks with the available resources. The strategy guide that comes with the collectors version is skimpy. Leaves out important steps. Overall, as fetch and carry games go, this one isn't much fun. I'm sorry I bought it. Might dabble with it once in awhile but I doubt if I'll play it. Disappointing. Won't be buying any sequels.
I don't recommend this game.

Although BFG calls this a "time management" game, it's really a builder game. More like a puzzle. You have to figure out where to put which structures to achieve population, income, favor of the gods, and materials. It's not a fetch & carry game. That's why I enjoyed it so much. I bought the collector version on a bogo. It has the strategies listed. But, I found that I didn't have to use the exact strategy to win the level with gold. That's the sign of a great game to me. There's definitely replay value. My only issue was with the slow loading but that could be the old Win7 laptop I use for games. I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys builder games. Anyone looking for a fetch & carry game won't like this.
I recommend this game!

The game is a cute diner-dash type of game. Point, click, buy upgrades, and try to chain for extra points. The art, music, story line and operation are great. Played the demo on my Win7/64bit with no glitches. But, there's no Relaxed Mode. By level 5, I already couldn't make Expert anymore. I suspect that by mid-game I'd lose customers and be unable to make the goals. I'm not a fast clicker anymore. Maybe too many diner-dash-type games. The goals assume past experience. Some goals required making more items, like juice, than customers request. I always make items ahead of time for these types of game so I made the goals. That's a bit sneaky. And, like other reviewers, I wouldn't buy a collector's edition for this game.
I don't recommend this game.
