The storyline is nice. It's not as dark as many of these games are. This game has lovely graphics. The hog are clean and crisp, with most objects easy to find. The mini games and quick and easy, perhaps a little too easy.
Too often I found myself wishing they would stop telling me what to do in the game eg. "There's nothing left to do!". Well, duh! Just give me a second to get out of the area!
I played it on expert, but still found this game went way too quickly.
Did I enjoy it? Yes. It was sweet, but as my title suggests, it's just way too short. I was surprised at just how quickly it was done.
This would be a great game for a younger person due to its simplicity or simply someone with very little time to play a game, but wanted to kill a wee bit of time with something fun.
So, with those thoughts in mind, I would recommend the game. If you are looking for a game, like we have come to expect with more game play, this is not the one for you!

This was a delightful game with lots of hog. The storyline was pleasant, with a wee twist - gaining "soul shards" in which a mini hog of roses had to be done. There was usually one rose a little more difficult to find in each one of the rose hog. The regular hog were generally good. I played on normal as I play these games to relax, and with the help of the outline of the object, I was able to find the rare item I otherwise may not have seen.
The music was pleasant. I usually turn off the sound and just play the game, but I found I actually preferred to play this game with the sound on!
The graphics were nicely done. I enjoyed looking at the artwork that the artists obviously worked hard on.
The game play was good and not too short. I enjoy taking my time on the games, and not trying to race through them to see how fast I can get them done. Even if I tried to "whip through" I would have found it to be a decent amount of game play.
I am looking forward to going backwards and playing the Phantom of the Opera that Play Pond makes! It sounds even better than this one!
This game was quite fast and fun. It was enjoyable turning the dark rooms into the bright rooms. I found that the puzzles were relatively easy, except for one. The same type I always seem to struggle with.
I didn't like how the hidden object puzzles started with dull, muted colors. At first I thought, "Oh no, not another of those games!" To my delight it turned out there were only a few of the dull ho games.
The fairy may bother some folks, at least those who have not played the Legend of Zelda. If you played that game, this won't bother you at all.
Overall it was a very fun game. I'm liking how they are starting to change things up a bit more for us so that every game isn't the "same old, same old"!
I recommend this game!

I was so pleasantly surprised when I played this game. The graphics were light, clean and refreshing. The game was not in the usual macabre setting that we have become used to. Not too many hidden object games, but rather a nice blend of games and puzzles.
It took a bit more thinking (not every thing was given to us on a silver platter) which I enjoyed. It wasn't so difficult that hints or cheats were necessary. Now saying that, I did use a hint at the end of the game. I had left the game for over a week or two and forgot where I was and what I was doing! lol!
I really enjoyed this game. I found it to be a good value for my money. It was not so short that I would say, "What, that's it?". I found that I had several hours of relaxing fun.
It was difficult enough to be a challenge, but not so much so that I wanted to scream. It was neither too simplistic that caused me to want to quit the game because it was too boring.
The mix between the mini games and HOG was good. The HOGs were not a test in eye sight and the ability to guess what an item was. I like that. It's infuriating when companies make their HOG so obscure that you require a magnifying glass and a glass of wine to guess what an item is. Those are often "by guess and by golly" luck. The mini games were relevant to the main game. Another plus.
The graphics were good, bright and vibrant; well thought out.
I enjoyed the story, even though I had not played the first game. I could only rate it "good" as I do not know how well it linked to the first one. In the game, it was very good!
Very pleased overall. Would like more games of this caliber!
I really enjoyed Dire Grove. The music and photography are well done. The puzzles are good and not the same as many other games. I like the fact that most information is available somewhere to find. Having to use the intellect without causing "brain strain" is always a great way to relax! Thanks for an enjoyable game. Definitely in my favorites box!

Very fun game. I really enjoyed the fact that it was not like a lot of the other games that tell you exactly what to do and how to do it. I liked having to think a bit and go looking. I own a lot of BFGs and this one of my new favourites. The graphics are pleasant. The sound is quite acceptable. However, if you turn it on and walk away, it may startle you later when you "hear voices" in the other room! lol!
