It's a great nonogram game.
It seems more forgiving than some with the starting over for mistakes.
And I like that the numbers are big even though the graphics are not attractive at all, though I suppose they will get smaller as the grids get bigger.
Now I have to go find the other Hidden Clues games.
I recommend this game!

Pretty, and would probably be fun, but the bad click penalty ruins it.

I will only be buying this if I have a coupon that's ready to expire because of the bad click penalty. Even on casual. I thought we were done with click penalties by now.
Also, I am not crazy about the new "match the silhouette" type of HOP. Interesting concept, but not for me.
Sorry.
I don't recommend this game.

One puzzle after another is exactly what I love about it, unlike another reviewer. I loved the first one and I love this one.
Puzzles can be somewhat easy but are still fun. Graphics are great. And you get some CE features for the SE price so it feels as if you are getting a bargain.
AND you can skip the hidden object puzzles. What a great idea! Just because these game have evolved out of the HO genre doesn't mean you should have to play the HO puzzles. Great idea designers.
Only flaw is the "English as a second language" interpretation. Awkward. But I don't care because great game.
Wonderful. Buying right now. I just stopped to write this on my way to checkout.
I recommend this game!

I had no idea how I should rate this game when the CE came out, and I still don't. I find the game beautiful but aggravating. I did buy the CE because I needed it for a 2 for 1 sale, but have played little more of it.
The graphics are gorgeous. and I really liked the music, which is unusual for me. But do you like it so much that you spend twice the price? Music is probably not the deciding factor here.
One of the CE features that tend to make me buy the CE is the ability to play the games over again. This game does not have the replayable feature. Why not, developers?
There are achievements and collectables, but I have little interest in them. There is also a bonus chapter, but you might not want to play it. Why? Aggravating is why (spoilers about the demo period follow).
The whole thing about having to get inside the house first before you can find out what is going on is contrived. I mean, my first impulse would be to walk away if the total stranger who basically abducted me didn’t at least explain why I had to get into the house. I don’t usually care that much about story, but this just doesn’t make sense. It seems as if there should have been time during the driving scene to tell us something, a sentence or two. Or when you got to the house they could have filled us in a little bit. Maybe the fact that you could get into the house would prove you had the power to actually fight the monster in the sky or something. But they didn't say so! I felt like Princess Leia should be popping up any minute to yell, “It’s a trap, Luke!”
I understand that this is a later installment of a celebrated game series. Maybe they all start like this.
The vase puzzle at the bottom of the stairs=not well designed. The game actually told you that the vase had to look like a picture. But then, you couldn’t put the picture up next to the vase for comparison because it was in the journal, not in inventory. Which forced you to keep going back to the journal, then trying to remember the pattern while you returned to the vase. But THEN, I was not aggravated for very long because the solution was laughably simple.
Also, the mailbox opener object didn’t look like it was the same shape as the shape on the front of the mailbox. I’m glad I had the tutorial on to show me!
The first mini game was pretty easy, too. There was no possibility of another solution or of getting stuck. And you had to click on every box, you couldn’t just click and drag.
Besides, who mounts a telephone upside down under a table, I ask you?
When you finally meet the other characters and they finally get you started on the quest, there is little record of what they said or who they said they were. You have to really pay close attention to the introductions. I wasn’t paying enough attention to what they were saying to retain it all because I thought the information would be placed in the journal. But it wasn’t. It was an awful lot of talk, too.
So here’s my conclusion. The game is aggravating in spots but beautiful and somewhat fun. I think buying the SE is a better buy, but the CE might be worth it on a two-for-one sale if you love it so much you want to play the bonus chapter.
I recommend this game!

Based upon the demo and the extras, I find I am a bit annoyed with this game, though I will buy it and play it. Here's some examples:
=You immediately get a dagger, and there are two things the dagger could cut, but it will only cut one, then disappears. You have to find another tool to cut another thing.
=Where you find certain objects in relation to where you must use them makes no sense,
=I actually had to go to the strategy guide. Twice.
The game is beautiful and the music is great, though. And though there is no ability to play minigames and HOS over (which is why only three stars instead of four) there are puzzles and tarot cards and a secret room that I am curious about.
So it's a slightly illogical four star game lacking some features, which reduces my scoring to three. Still, it's worth playing. It's so beautiful and the music is GREAT, that's my main reason for buying.
I recommend this game!

Sorry to disagree with so many reviewers. Usually, I agree with most of them and respect their opinions. But not this time.
As I said in the title, ugly creepy and boring. Art was sharp but ugly, music was fitting but creepy, and I used the hint constantly to progress through the game, so boring.
Minigames were good, but I don't like the game enough to buy it just for the chance to play them again. If I could unlock them before finishing the game, I might consider it.
Also, the sawing through the log that holds the window shut was slow and tedious. So much so that it made my elbow hurt. That's when I quit and started writing this review. It's still hurting now.
Not for me. Try it, though. Everyone else seems to like it much better than I do.
I don't recommend this game.

This is a "Patchworks" type of game, not a mosaic like World Mosaics or Fantasy Mosaics. The theme appears to be fantasy creatures in a fantasy world. Some screens are just birds and so forth, but some might be, like, trolls.
Just so you know where I am coming from, I love jigsaw puzzle-type games.
The music is the typical 8floor games music that is getting kind of old, especially the south american flute.
It does have a relaxed mode but I am not sure what it does. The timer appears disabled, but when I was using it, I expected it to never give me three stars. Instead, it gave me three stars anyway. But because it doesn't make you stop playing when the timer runs out, this is not a real problem. Plus, even in unrelaxed mode, the timing seems to be more forgiving than I have seen on some of these games.
I cannot figure out how to get to the "Special quests and 18 trophies to collect." There's no menu or option for them, not even one that is inactive until you complete the game. Therefore, I can't tell if the "Special quests and 18 trophies to collect" even exist.
It is a lot of click and drag, which is hard for elderly elbows.
I'm having fun and buying with a coupon today. Try it. You might like it.
I recommend this game!

You are the Old West's Robin Hood blowing up the Robber Baron's safe. You drag a gunpowder train from a safe through a maze of piggy banks to a campfire. Then the fire follows the gunpowder trail back to the safe, and you get all the money after all the explosions.
There is a timer, but you don't lose if you go over the time. It just tells you that your time did not meet the target. This might change later, I don't know.
I played the first 8 levels and the cute complications were already setting in, like jumping over a creek. I wanted to play more but, unfortunately, my elderly elbow would not allow it. Too much click and drag.
I fully intend to buy this for iPad if it comes out.
Try it. It's really fun.
I recommend this game!
