A new breed of virus has spread throughout the City of Oxford. You must search the city for a missing girl who holds the key to stopping the global epidemic!
I do not usually enjoy this genre, but the role and storyline are compelling. Hidden objects and mini games almost all make sense within the game, more than in comparable games. Sound creates dramatic urgency without the usual spookiness. Believable vocal actors add to dramatic urgency. Typos in the game aren't obtrusive. Like the options to tailor challenge for myself from the outset. For example, I get impatient, so setting the glimmer to brighten sooner suits me well.
Repetetive and boring. Disliked the visuals. Was looking for good new game in my favorite genres. This didn't measure up.Found and bought Promised Land instead.
Like Virtual Villages, but far superior graphics. Struggled at first because I didn't close speech/instruction bubbles (thought they'd eventually disappear#. But worth the perseverance. Enjoyed the variety of strategy puzzles within the larger game. Lots of decisions to make. Liked costumes for sorting jobs - did this with VV when I could afford it. Loved the variety of characters. Hair moves with exertion. Lots of facial expression. Clothing moves with activity and different characters use their clothes (lifting shirts when walking, etc.) Sound is good for longterm play - never annoying. Hovering at an activity or on a character raises the ambient sound in that zone.
I recommend this game!

I love the sound effects, music, and graphics. Reminds me of My Life as a Farmer, which I have recently enjoyed. Like the added element of crossbreeding new species of flowers. Story isn't intrusive. Goals and instructions are clear and grow naturally as levels add challenges that make sense.
Expected to enjoy. Transitions slow. Instructions and relationships/goals weak and disconnected. Visuals not very Paris or history or fun. Music repetitive and tiresome. Need other sound cues, maybe to support goals? No sense of progress. Took an hour to sort of catch on. Not planning to buy.
I get about 1/4 of the management games, but like a bit of story and nice graphics. This has too much data to track in place of visual action. Don't like fairground music at fairs, so my taste about the sound was a given. Graphics were below my usual standard. Had to work in one screen while pertinent information was delivered in another. Couldn't track all my activity from one place, so made decision making unwieldy.
