Who comes up with this stuff? Each chapter of this game reaches new heights of off the wall adventure and I loved every minute of it. The hidden object scenes are a pleasure to play and not just for the glorious artwork. They are integrated into the story and you will find yourself returning to them in unique and interesting ways. The game starts off reasonably enough with the standard missing person/rescue mission, but the plot gets strange in a hurry with entertaining results. Puzzles are moderately difficult. There is a map available in each level of the story to jump between locations within the level for those players less leisurely than myself. I suggest wandering because once you complete a chapter you won't be returning. Make sure you read all the diary and journal entries you find along the way so you can make some sense out of the story. Although the cut scenes with live actors are not perfect by Hollywood production standards, they sure worked for me. I think this game is a terrific value for my entertainment dollar!

This game had it all for me, a great story, beautifully drawn graphics, terrific voice acting and entertaining gameplay. Despite a wildly inventive plot, this game made complete sense to me. The hidden object scenes contained items appropriate to the story and had clever extras. Inventory items were used in logical places. Puzzles rewarded me with useful tools. Cut scenes revealed clues and enhanced the story. I got lost a few times but with a bit of thinking I was able to recover and move on without a walkthrough. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

This is a delightful little game, just right for an evening of entertainment. The graphics are fresh and bright and look like they were taken from a child's story book. Make sure you click on speaking characters several times to hear all their funny lines. The voice of Munchausen is especially upbeat and completely in character. I loved the object association puzzles. Putting together all the elements to complete a scene takes a bit of thinking but the results are so cute and clever. This adventure may be short, but it is very, very sweet!

After reading some discouraging reviews, I downloaded the demo of the game expecting to be disappointed. After my hour was up I was hooked on the story and could hardly wait to upgrade to the full version! Yes, the artwork for the animated scenes are rough and unfinished. However, the rest of the graphics are terrific, with detailed, well drawn environments and clear, interesting hidden object scenes. You collect useful objects far and wide and some do not turn up in a timely manner which was a little frustrating until I just decided to relax and roll with it. There is quite a bit of trotting back and forth between scenes, but once I got my hands on a key object I could hardly wait to see what would happen next. My cats and I got a kick out of the hint sound effects. I look forward to seeing more Ghost Towns games!

This is a great looking game and a lot of fun to play but it had me running around in circles. The graphics are terrific. It has a good storyline, wonderfully acted cut scenes and some really innovative animated graphics. I found the music a touch repetitive but you can silence the music and keep the fantastic sound effects. Each hidden object scene is visited more than once but they are clear and clever with interactive items that change during each visit. You collect a large inventory and this is where the game fell a little short for me. Using the items was not nearly as fun as collecting them. Most of the time a key was just a key and I found the majority of the puzzles a little too simple. Also, some items are found long after you find a need for them and others remain in inventory long enough to gather dust. I felt uneasy throughout much of the game wondering if I had missed something.
Although this is not the most challenging hidden object adventure game I have played lately, Maestro: Music of Death hit all the right notes. The artwork and music are beautiful and the animated scenes are very well done. An advanced player might find the game too easy but I enjoyed feeling smart for once! I was able to find almost every hidden object in every scene. A few objects required an extra step and it was fun watching the little interactions unfold. Most hidden object scenes are visited twice and inventory objects get used near the locations where they were collected. The game moves steadily forward although you can go back and revisit scenes as often as you like. There is a lot to explore so don't get lost! I am off to play the next chapter in this terrifc story. Game on!

This game has an engaging plot, beautiful artwork and pleasant music. It takes you through delightfully different environments and you meet and interact with unusual characters. Most of the gameplay is fairly routine but a unique approach to hidden object searches is a pleasant surprise. The dialogue between characters was so fresh and funny I could hardly wait to read the next lines. Sign me up for the sequel!

This game is very different from others I have tried. It plays a little like a graphic novel. The narrator adds drama to the text which is presented as pages in a book. I enjoyed the interaction between characters and switching characters to accomplish tasks. I liked the panoramic aspect that was available in some of the scenes. I had a little trouble locating some of the inventory items scattered about but no trouble at all completing the hidden object scenes. It was a lot of fun combining items and figuring out the next logical move. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This is a lovely game with many unique features and an interesting plot. I really enjoyed the animated sequences and there are quite a few surprises! The scenes are beautifully drawn and entry into different areas must be earned by clever puzzles. Be prepared to manage a full inventory and some items will be with you for quite a while. The only spoiler for me was clicking on a highlighted area and being told what was needed to solve the area. The hint system is almost too good in casual mode. In addition to a comprehensive map, the hint button reveals where to go, what you need and where to find it. I like to have the opportunity to figure things out on my own. The next time I think I will go with a more advanced mode of play, but at any level, this is a carefully crafted, exciting game!

This game was such a great experience. My only regret is, I will never be able to play it again for the first time! The music, art, story, everything comes together for a challenging, suspenseful evening, or two, or three. I am not into collecting achievements, but there are fun titles to earn for those who are. I do tend to read every journal entry, hang onto every conversation and analyze every scrap of evidence, so I sailed through without relying on the Strategy Guide. I did use the hints a few times when I wasn't quite sure what to do next. It was lovely that it worked outside of the hidden object scenes. Those scenes are clear and very clever and I was able to conserve my ravens. Yes, you have to earn your hints and your right to a certain bonus feature, so pay attention! Some of the puzzles tested my limits but I thought they were both logical and entertaining. All in all, a fun game that has my heartfelt recommendation. Stop reading reviews and go have fun!
