Another 8th Floor game like the Royal Defense series, but this one is on water. This plays like the first Royal Defense but with more tower positions. The enemies seem more varied in this game and they seem to be quicker too. Still winning is possible. I think I could have won every level but for a strange quirk where the upper left portion of the screen causes you to lose one life if you kill an enemy in that sector. An obvious flaw in the coding, it prevented me from a perfect score in several levels. Otherwise a very good game.
I recommend this game!

The invisible enemies present a real challenge and require that you pause and upgrade frequently. It is also likely that you will have to use some gems to purchase upgrades to survive certain levels. Tough, but a very good game. Interesting levels which present different challenges. I could never beat one level; I always came up wither 1 or 2 lives short. You may end up cussing the game when you lose, but with a change of strategy you can replay and win. Except that last level. Stick with it and read the blogs.
I recommend this game!

Nearwood is a very elaborate construction with only a thin thread of a story. After I got about halfway through, I was bored enough to take about a month off before completing the game. The Collector Edition bonus was even worse than the main game. Now I am done and I wonder why I bothered. The puzzles are horrible and the entire contrived creation is hard to follow and harder to enjoy. Finishing this game was an epic struggle and I doubt it was worth it.
I don't recommend this game.

The action was varied, some scenes required strategy and others required time management, but throughout there were pesky villains who required constant clicking to banish and the clicking on resources had to be way too exact. My strategy finally was to double click on everything and to double double click if that failed. Sometimes I had to click 8 or 10 times to get a desired result. That reduced this to a mediocre game.
I don't recommend this game.

I had a chance to preview Green Ranch and said I would not buy it and now that I have played the demo I still think that way. The plot is offensive and insulting and the game play is altogether too ‘busy’, even on the levels I have played, to be enjoyable. I cannot recommend buying this one.
I don't recommend this game.

If you liked Northern Tale, you should find this sequel to your liking. It has similar music and action and villains. The plot continues from where the first Tale ended and continues through a plot twist to a conclusion. I don’t know how they could come up with another sequel, but I hope they do.

This is the fourth in a series and it is the most like the first. I normally do not like tower games, but the strategy in this game attracted me. After one gets through the first game in the series, it becomes clear what it takes to win the levels here. One becomes good at deciding which towers are best and at pausing to upgrade or swap towers to prevent a loss. If you don’t like the fact that you can pause the game and change towers, then you would not like this series where that seems to be required. This is a tower game with more strategy than usual.
I recommend this game!

The story holds together a series of scenes where one finds hidden objects and unlocks portions of the park to upgrade until the park is restored. This is a hidden object game all the way with a bit of a difference unique to the Tales series. It runs a bit long, but if you play it now and then, and you can because it does not require remembering previous action, it can fill a lot of free time.
I recommend this game!

The first game I ever played on big Fish was also a Grey Alien game. This game is quite similar in being fun and funny and entertaining with a theme of a holiday. There are plenty of power ups which make the game move smoothly along. The game increases in difficulty with additional levels, but the power ups get better too. Another Grey Alien winner.
I recommend this game!

This is another long and convoluted detective mystery in a series. The plot twists and turns and finally calls Maple Creek into it. It resolves Maple Creek but then leaves something unsolved. I was in need a a few hints along the way at times when the action did not seem to flow well, but generally the plot did lead me from here to there. I found quite a number of the puzzles worth doing, which is unusual for a HOG as the puzzles are generally a distraction to be ignored.
I recommend this game!
