The return of the hamsters, if you liked the first three games of this series, you should like this one too. Very little has changed except that the backgrounds are more detailed now. In sequel games one always fears that the developers will destroy the original concept. Not here. I still play in untimed mode and still consider the game to be great fun. It just tickles me when a window pops up to tell me that I have found the entire hamster family, or whatever. Doesn’t affect the game play, but it reminds me of the previous games. Rollo makes one appearance and most of the old villains at least have cameo roles. There are a few new twists, too. This game is just fun to play.

I finished Floria and I found it an OK game. The characters can help you with difficult levels, in fact they will play the game for you if you just make moves you know cannot contribute to winning and simply wait for the three characters to send you help. OK. Nothing too difficult here, simple fun, but on the negative side the characters wave constantly at you and that is very distracting. The music is more syrupy than even elevator music, too. The artwork is nice, but the whole package strikes me as intended for children or families to play together. Not a deal breaker, but be aware that it is childish.

This is a breaker game where you drop colored blocks to clear blocks on the board, many of which are not visible initially, being hidden below the visible board. Every 5th game is one of a ball drop maze, a typical M3 or a puzzle. Each level is harder than the previous. I found the game entertaining but the uncolored granite blocks only break with a certain color and I rarely seemed to guess which one to drop on it. The game is either timed or not but you win stars based on your speed, even in untimed mode. I find that annoying. The game may be the intellectual property of the authors, but once I buy it I WILL play it my way. I wish they would learn that. So my times varied between 26 seconds and almost 9 minutes depending on whether that level had a “system” or whether it was going to be a drop and drop one at a time smash fest. I like knowing that I deciphered the “system” to win quickly, but I really hate being timed in any way. By the way, the recommended times always show up, even in untimed mode, but they are very strange. Near the end of the game, I beat the three star times several times, using under half what they suggested and then on the next level I would be several minutes over the one star time. Their suggested times made no sense. I think that would make the timed modes frustrating.

This game was OK. It had good and bad features but overall it was worth buying. There are puzzle pieces scattered in the games, but they are invisible and therefore I found only 3 total, all quite by accident. Therefore I never played the bonus levels. It isn’t a long game, but it was OK and it allowed me to play without being timed.

Be a King was a game I passed on when it came out, but now I have purchased it and played it. It was rather fun. I sort of combines a time management game with a tower defense game and it isn’t very difficult to play or win. Overall, it was a good decision to revisit it and buy it.

After a recent bout with a deadly boring game which tried to take itself too seriously, this was a delightful change. The game is a cartoonish adventure with some unique puzzles which I mostly enjoyed, and a very few hidden object type scenes. Overall, I would consider this a great game for anyone who just wants a relatively short but fun game. There isn’t anything really serious in this game, just overplayed characters in unrealistic settings intended to provoke humor. The hideously ugly witch is enjoying her day at the spa while you muck up her diabolical plans to get married. Recommended for anyone who wants a good laugh.

This game has a magic looking glass which allows you to see things which are not there. And be sober. But seriously, as contrived as it sounds, it was fun to use. Altogether, I enjoyed the game, despite shortcomings in the plot. There is a leprechaun to help you, which interjects another humorous element into the game. The overall game play was relatively fun, if occasionally confusing, but overall it seemed to work. The hidden object portions are different enough to retain the fun of the game.

I finally finished playing Cadenza ; the game timer said it was only a bit over 4 hours but it seemed like 40 hours. It took me 5 weeks to finally finish this trashy game because it is a sure cure for insomnia. I found it very difficult to stay awake for more than 30 minutes playing the game. The story line began well but ended up a twisted wreck of pieced together trivia with no logic or reason and unbelievable. The characters are all undesirables who I could never begin to like. Even the detective was unlikeable. It would be fair to say that in my assessment, this game ran about 3 hours longer than the story could hold together for. No game is completely bad so let me list the good and the bad. Good. • The artwork is a bit better than average. • The music; it may have been original. • I was able to finish the game finally, by using the hint at every move. Boring, but I did it. Bad. • The story line. • The games, many of which cannot be skipped and almost none of which have ANY instructions. • The Hint takes too long to recharge; important because the game has no ‘flow’ and no logic. • The characters; I wanted them all to die. • The music. The same few bars were played over and over until I cut it off. • The length. Long only works for fun games, not boring ones. So it was not all bad. But the game, overall, was pretty horrible. For the final word let me day that when I happily finished the game, I could not exit without starting the Bonus chapter. I immediately did a Ctrl – Alt – Del and closed the program. Ouch. No more, please. I do not recommend the game to anyone. I do recommend the company never release another game.

I made it through one level and deleted the game. I will rate it as a possibly good game, although I will never know, because of the retro style keyboard controls with no mouse input. This game reminds me of WfW 3.11 when you needed a mouse to start it, but my mouse hung over the back of my desk and never was used. I only used DOS commands. Now I have finally accepted a mouse and this game does not use a mouse. Should I relearn how to use arrow key movements and spacebar shooting? I decided no, but maybe others will be glad to go back a couple of decades to keyboard controls. You decide

I’ve been a fan of Built-a-Lot until now. Mysteries was way too short, having only 4 levels for those of us who despise timed games, but this game is so pushy that I could not even make it through the required (for absolutely no reason) timed game (there is nothing new in this game that is not intuitive). I will not be buying this piece of garbage and I could not recommend it for anyone I liked. If you like to have a relaxing game, this is not it. If you want a fun game, this is not it. In fact this game has nothing to recommend it at all.
