I own the first Storm Tale and hesitated to buy this since I didn't think I would enjoy virtual. However, can't beat $2.99 so took the plunge and love it.
Follows the same game play as the original with constructing buildings, accumulating gems to buy power ups, etc.so nothing new there other than the canon which at first I wasn't particularly crazy about but got used to it.
Just wish they had kept the artwork for Erik in the first game - this one is too cartoonish but other than that heartily recommend this.
Finally back to the basic VAPR - got tired of the last several with line dancing, C&W music and the like so was so glad the majority of that was eliminated. Loved the New England levels and several of us had been asking for more winter scenes which they provided in this game. Play follows the usual which I never get bored with.
Several issues: some of the scenes seemed a bit fuzzy which made it difficult to find the objects especially the trash; normally like puzzles but there were so many small pieces on these you practically went blind trying to do the puzzles and finally was unable to remove the game cursor - when I tried instead of a small white cursor got a magnifying glass.
Other than that really liked the game and am on my third try to get all the badges.
I have all these "I love finding" games and do enjoy them but this one not so much. Have noticed games in a series get progressively harder. Granted we like a challenge but not to the point that the game is no fun.
I like the idea of finding different "critters" but a lot of the scenes are a garish crowded mess and it takes forever to find the objects which loses you time with the result you get less points to buy the critters. Some of these puzzles are a bear (excuse the pun) with the result you have to use a lot of hints which also loses points.
Not particularly sorry I bought it but not enjoying it that much.
Loved that there were tonz more cats to find on this game and enjoyed finding the morphing objects. Graphics were excellent and cats were adorable. Thot the puzzles were a bit tough so skipped most of them, ended up not having enough money to buy all the cats so played again and second time still not enough - SO maybe third time is the charm! (I'm determined to get them all).
Wish the developer would let you go back at the end of the game and replay some levels you only got one or two stars on to make up the money to buy all the cats.
Other than that this is a delightful game and hope they do a I love finding MORE Dogs.
The game was just OK. I like one up/one down solitaire and enjoyed the Snow White games. This really didn't have a whole lot to recommend it beyond that.
Like the Snow White games it takes a CHUNKA change to accumulate coins to buy power ups. No real comment on any graphics since you really can't see all that much under the level field.
So it's OK if you want something that isn't a brain drain. Will recommend it for that.
I was very glad to see another Jewel Match Atlantis. I have all of them and really enjoy playing them since I love ocean games with lots of fish and beautiful scenes.
Yes it plays just like the others but to me no biggie - again anything ocean solitaire. There have been several changes with morphing cards and a kracken which covers a card and only goes away with a particular card moves (can do without that) but otherwise the scenes are beautiful and the music is enjoyable and not intrusive to the game play.
And THANK YOU to the developer for getting rid of that horrible shriek every time a bonus game pops up. Haven't run into that at least so far.
I love these games and even with my griping I buy all of them. Some of the scenes are beautiful (tho I don't think "Our Beautiful Earth" consists of crowded areas). I like finding the little cats and the paw prints and so far have had no problems finding the HO's. I like SOME of the mini games but for the most part skip them.
My complaints and have voiced these on all my reviews of the previous games include the shortness of the game - only 30 levels which is to me rather a ripoff when comparing them to Jewel Match where you really get your money's worth. You accumulate money to buy things in the gift shop but again very few things to buy so by the end of the game you still have about $30,000 left and nothing to spend it on.
So perhaps the developer can take note since other reviewers have commented on how short the game is. Will recommend with reservations due to the above.
This is one of those games that are easy to play which is a nice change from these more complicated, doom and gloom, and run everywhere to find key parts games. For those who have played the previous games it's the same game play: match 3 with breaking wood and metal blocks to accumulate money for decorations, etc - this time a yard at a spooky old house.
I deducted one star since you have to accumulate a real chunka change to buy the decorations.
As I said very easy game so if you want a game that's a kick back and relax with no "brain drain" this is a buy.
I enjoyed the "I Love Finding Cats" but being a dog lover purchased this immediately even tho it was a collector's edition which I usually hold off on until a game comes out as a SE. The colors are bright and cheerful and the dogs are adorable. For those who played "Cats" it's the same type of game play but this time on the levels you find four dogs and two on the "find the differences in the scenes." Some of the hidden objects are a tad difficult but the magnifying glass was a life saver on that. I found some of the puzzles rather difficult but finished most of them and loved getting points to purchase pups! Also loved the wallpapers and am applying a different one every day.
This is a game that to me is definitely worth the cost of a CE or two credits, and is a game you can sit back, relax and enjoy without the usual doom, gloom and bouncing back and forth between scenes just to find a key part.
Some of the music I didn't care for but it didn't take away from enjoying the game.
Started off liking it then down the tubes. Constant bouncing around from one scene to another trying to find objects which many times were so small as to practically be invisible so having to keep using hints which I normally don't do. After awhile I just uninstalled it which I rarely do with my games. Figure I pay for them so play them but this was a total loss.
