I own all of the Heroes of Hellas games and this one is fast getting to be my favorite. I love games with oceans which this is - all underwater. Follow same game play as the others but rather than accumulating money for just buildings you accumulate either coins, hearts or "life flowers" for corals, ocean plants, dolphins (with dolphin calls), colorful fish, an ocean dragon, and mermaid and after playing a level you look thru the scene for seashells (not easy to find). Occasionally have to find pieces of a trident or remove vines (definitely not easy - nearly went blind).
Only thing I don't like is the "trumpet toot" whenever you clear a tile with a feather or you find a heart, flower, whatever the goal is for that particular level - very annoying.
So if you want an enjoyable (to me) game with some challenge and lovely scenes without the usual doom, gloom and ugly faces which seem to be the usual offerings these days - enjoy!
Same developer of the Snow White solitaire games of which I own both. This is just a cookie cutter game - same music, same game play and obstacles etc just a different theme.
Was disappointed as I was waiting for a new one up/one down solitaire game but all this is is deja vu!
Am two ways about it but will recommend it for those who like solitaire.
It is a cute little game and does get a little more difficult as it goes along but didn't find much of a challenge (being an adult) but was a nice addition as a Halloween game (which we really didn't get a lot of).
Was delighted to see another I.D. pop up just in time for Halloween. As another reviewer said don't be fooled - tho it follows the same game play as the others in the series the difficulty level jacks up even on easy mode. You still have the lumber mill, BloodDonald's, etc to construct with the addition of little goblins and beasties that need potions or the princess (yes, she's back) to destroy. There are other new innovations - will let the fishies find out.
All our favorite characters are back and thank heaven the developer paid attention and brought the vampy Countess Dracula back and ditched the Kewpie doll.
Sam and Frank are back and this time they are commentating on the Solitaire Football League! Can you take the Solitaire City Juggernauts to the Ultrabowl?
There aren't that many solitaire games being offered lately that I enjoy. I like the one up/one down type which this is and am having no difficulty so far. Normally play a game in casual until I get the feel of it and this to me is easy - power ups are rather pricey but you do seem to accumulate money faster, usual obstacles of having to clear cards to reach necessities like ump whistle and key to unlock cards, etc.
So IMHO if you're looking for something that isn't these hideous faces and doom and gloom that's constantly being offered these days this is a good choice.
Which was very disappointing since I own the other six and love them. Apparently they decided to ramp up the challenge factor by making some levels endless by trying to get power ups to access the fire to defrost the coins, etc and the light bulb addition is annoying - as a result the game is completely monotonous and at times boring trying to proceed on. Gave five stars on the level of challenge meaning it was so challenging it took the fun out of it!
Wish I'd saved my game credit instead of wasting it on this game.
Loved the previous Far Kingdom games so jumped on this and wish I had waited for more reviews. I don't find any particular enjoyment here. Many HOS scenes varying between silhouettes, items in the dark where you can purchase firefly lights or magnifying glasses power-up which will remove three of the objects etc etc. Items even when in a well-lit screen are hard to find to the point of going blind looking and don't really see the purpose of the game other than eventually same scenes over and over again. May get a little more fun as I get further into this but as for now rather bored.
Been looking for a solitaire game - finally one popped up. Yes very similar to the other games from this developer but am enjoying the levels, love anything that I have to build, level of challenge rather varies - some levels very easy, other you have to repeat but beware - DON'T keep buying wild cards or jokers - did that once and ran out of money.
Unless this gets impossible down the road a fun, not horribly challenging game.
I should have paid attention to the other reviews on this game but decided to take a chance and am bored - bored - bored! I hate to leave bad reviews since these developers work hard on these games but as one reviewer said takes you back to the olden days. Cartoonish graphics, simple game play and little challenge at least so far. Hate to not finish a game but am heading in that direction.
But am finding myself getting bored and less and less into it. Another reviewer mentioned similar to the Incredible Dracula but am not finding it so. Just the usual back and forth building and getting supplies and growing this and that with lame jokes and not particularly great graphics.
Hate not finishing a game since I (naturally) paid for it but am heading in that direction.
