This is one of the old fashioned type of Hidden Object games. There is a soundtrack but very subtle. There are no voice overs, instead there are conversation bubbles by the character's heads which requires lots and lots of reading and seriously detracts from gameplay.
I liked the graphics. It felt like I was in a medieval castle. The characters were well done (if only they could verbalize#.
The story line was excellent beginning with the heroine expressing concern about the upcoming marriage of the King only two weeks after his wife died under mysterious circumstances.
Hidden object scenes were straight lists, with the list on the left side of the game, and finding X amount of the same item #for example potions) with the list on the bottom. I enjoyed these but it wasn't enough to save the game for me.
Constantly having to read what the characters were saying made the game too tedious and a no buy for me.

The storyline was excellent. You've escaped from the evil Queen Morgana and are back safely on your own turf when you have a sense of foreboding. It becomes more than just a sense when the little witch, Elizabeth, shows up in your mailbox warning you that witch hunters are coming. That doll like animated witch was my favorite part of the game.
The soundtrack and voice overs are very well done. The graphics are bright, beautiful, crisp, clean, and colorful.
There is a journal, a map, and a little animated imp to assist you in the game.
The hidden object scenes are the list type, with lots of interactivity. The objects are well drawn and clear. You can switch to a match 2 game instead of the hidden object scene if you choose. The mini puzzles were typical of this genre, not too easy, not too hard.
This is a great dark-themed game made more enjoyable by the little animated characters throughout.

Can you wash zombies off, straighten their bones, feed them, and send them to a tooth brush station then on to their coffins where they are ejected into the graveyard, all the while new zombies are coming in and trying to escape?
This is total fun as each level gets faster and more and more complicated.
The graphics are bright, clear, crisp. Directions for the game are easy to follow. The soundtrack is so light and upbeat it makes the game fun considering the subject is so dark: zombies. LOL.

Another great Dark Parables Collector's Edition. The soundtrack was excellent with good voiceovers. I enjoyed the eerie, spooky, creepy background music during gameplay and the light music during hidden object scenes.
The visuals were beautifully done: bright, bold, visually compelling. The fragmented hidden object scenes were just as beautiful with brilliant bold colors. The mini games were easy with both reset and skip options.
The story begins with a young girl frozen in terror as she watches an ancient building from the Sky Kingdom land in from of her and a sinister character (man, beast, demon?) emerge. You as detective are called to find "Jack", an expert on the Sky Kingdom, to assist you in solving the mystery. It looks hopeless until someone appears out of nowhere to save you: a bird, a plane, Indiana Jones, no, it is Jack, and the adventure is underway.
There are cursed morphing objects to find and several sets of collectibles which enhances gameplay.
There is a task bar, and a useless map to assist you.
In my opinion this was a little under par compared to the other Dark Parables, but I couldn't buy it fast enough. Plenty of things to do and find. Great game.

In the beginning the graphics were very plain, with a creepy doctor that keeps his eyes half closed all the time, but once you are in the dream world they are brilliant beyond imagination. The animation is fabulous. Although there is only one voice over, the mother as she narrates the story, the background sound is appropriate and enhances the story. Additional voice overs, especially the doctor, and the rabbit, would have been a welcome addition.
The story opens with a mother concerned about her beloved daughter, Andrea, who has gone into a coma for no reason. The doctor has a new technique to save Andrea: the "Diver" process, in which the mother will enter Andrea's thought processes to see what has happened. The mother enters a horrific nightmare of demons and darkness. Even though the colors are brilliant, it is a dark dangerous place for a child to be.
The hidden object scenes are the list type with some interactivity. Mini puzzles are pretty challenging.
There is a journal with "memories" and a map to assist you in gameplay.
This game creeped me out because I didn't expect a game with such beautiful colors and lullabye music to be so dark. I can't wait to play the rest of it.

If you like hidden object games this one's for you. There were eight of them in the 45 minute demo. There was one mini puzzle but tasks throughout that required collecting things and figuring out what to do with them.
The graphics and visuals were beautifully done. There was a scene with a creepy abandoned hut in the woods, I could almost smell the decay it was so realistic and so gruesome. The soundtrack was eerie, haunting, creepy most of the time, but sometimes it was just annoying with just a single piano note playing over and over. Voiceovers were really good.
The storyline is great. It is the day of the heroine, Jessica's, wedding. She and hubby are leaving for the honeymoon when they have a horrific wreck. She finds herself bloodied and trapped by her seat belt with her groom gone amidst a shattered windshield and bloody car.
The creep factor is very high in this one. It's great.

The soundtrack was awful. There was some type of watered down fake jazz music in the background, annoying as anything. The voice overs were good. The graphics were nice, clear, clean and crisp.
The storyline was great. It was a peaceful starry night when all of a sudden a building blows up as a sinister character walks away. The story is told by Edgar, a cub reporter. It sounds like a great game, but it isn't.
The hidden object games are very different. In the first scene you are in a broom closet Edgar must turn into his office. You have to find X amount of typewriter keys, rolls of paper, pens, etc. and put them in the right places. As you find all of the objects in a set a mini puzzle game will open up allowing you to use the objects you found. Sounds exciting and fun? It wasn't. It was boring and tedious. Most of the mini puzzles were just plain lame.
It was a no buy for me. I couldn't even finish the demo it was so boring.

This match 3 had twists and turns through the game. There were no cutesy animals or sweet hum drum music. There was a man on a mission: to rebuild the world, one log and one brick at a time. The background music was great, very theatric and I enjoyed listening to it. The background noise of things blowing up added to attraction of the game for me.

The soundtrack is eerie with great voiceovers, especially the screams and demonic laughter. The graphics and visuals are just the way I like them: dark, eerie, creepy, and scary.
The storyline is great. Attacked by some villain in the woods you have to save your girlfriend who has taken shelter in a secret underground bunker (where the villain is now inside). The door is made of solide metal with a bullet proof glass window. You have no explosives, no grendades, not even an AR-15 but you will get the job done.
The hidden object scenes are straight lists with some interactivity. The lists are clear, the objects to find are moderately easy to moderately difficult to find. The mini games and puzzles were fun and challenging.

This is not your usual run of the mill Match 3. It is fun, fast, and furious. The music is fun and upbeat. The graphics are fantastic, bold, bright, with lots of little animal helpers.
It is great for children and people of all ages and all Match 3 skill levels.
