In the continuation of the exciting Mountain Trap series, you are called to help the town of Wilshere, which has been afflicted by a series of mysterious disappearances.
This actually is a really good game and I virtually played it non-stop. There is:
* Voiceovers; * Casual an Expert modes of play; * Interactive map; * Diary; and * Box with mini-lab.
The graphics are very good. Places to see are clear and well defined with good colour. I loved roaming around having a good look.
Sound is good. The music is orchestral, piano and I think cello which was all nice.
The slightly interactive hidden object games had a good challenge and I enjoyed them. You will do most of these twice. There were no teeny tiny items, however some were hard to find.
There were a good variety of mini-games. Some of these were rotating tiles to get in the right order, turning on all the lights, matching pairs, etc. The books in the library took me ages to do.
The interactive map works well if you need it. However, you pretty much finish all tasks before you move on to the next location. It also tells you where tasks are to do if you get stuck where to go.
Keep an eye on the diary because it has useful information in there to carry on.
You have a box with a mini-lab in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. As you go through the game you will collect formula cards. You will also have a dropper to use to collect liquid, acid, etc to place in the mini-lab. When you have all the necessary ingredients then the formula card will show what liquids to use. This is all easy and straightforward - just do it in the right sequence or you have to start again. I enjoyed doing these and they don't take much throught process.
All up the game took me a good 6 hours to do playing on Expert mode and not skipping or hinting anything. So good value for money.
Overall, a terrific game and well worth playing. Go and have a looksie - I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
This is an enjoyable game which kept me busy the whole time. The main game is about your brother Ernesto and the Bonus is about your impeding marriage. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Novice, Artist, Virtuoso and Improviser modes of play; * Interactive map; * Find 40 Diamonds in Game and Bonus; * 10 Achievements (some having 3 each to fill).
The graphics are superb - very clear and crisp. The characters are well defined and life-like.
Sound is good. The music is gorgeous with lots of trumpets and singing.
The hidden object games are putting items back, straightforward, matching pairs, etc. These were easy to do and don't take long. There is also one morphing object to find in each HOP as well, which always has a good challenge to them.
The mini-games were predominately pretty easy, except for the trumpet notes and the car mini-games. Those ones took me ages.
Finding the 40 diamonds in the game and bonus was very easy. However, if you want to find them altogether later or you miss any, then you can do this in the Extras.
I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because you are only going a couple of steps forwards and backwards each time and you do everything before you move on to another location.
In the Extras you have that trumpet notes mini-game again, but this time it goes to 5 levels. I just couldn't get past 3. I hope you have better luck than me. You also have a Treasure Hunt which only takes a couple of minutes and you can also replay all the HOPs and mini-games as well.
Its hard to get all the Achievements. I got about half, so I'll try and do better next time playing. One achievement was playing the game in 4, 5 or 6 hours. I failed on all three. It took me just over 6 hours.
Overall, its a good game and I enjoyed it. Its not my most favourite game from this developer because it wasn't as good as the earlier Cadenza games, but definitely worth playing.
Having played the first two games, I wasn't really impressed and nearly didn't buy this game. But I'm so glad I did. It has everything that I love to make a game memorable. There is:
The graphics are really stunning - very colourful and vivid but clear and easy to find everything you need.
Sound is good. The music is from the previous two games and is on a loop, which I turned off after a while as it got on my nerves.
There are 25 Roses and 25 morphing objects to find - one of each in every scene in the main game only (not the Bonus). A hand DOES NOT come over these which is excellent and made it a little more harder to find. I did these first so I wouldn't forget about them. You can find all the Roses later in the Extras if you want to do them altogether or miss any, but I don't think you can with the morphing objects.
The hidden object games are interactive straightforward, silhouette, putting items back and finding pairs, etc. These really were a lot of fun to do and I enjoyed them all. Some had a good challenge to them and took me a while to do.
There are a good variety of mini-games - a few of which I hadn't seen before. These were great to do and I played every one of them without hinting or skipping. Some were easy and others took ages. Yeah, some were trickier than I thought.
There is a casket which you have to find drops of blood to hear stories about different characters you are helping. The casket will glow when you need to use it. The woman's voice is lovely and I could listen to her stories all day.
All up the game and bonus took me about 9 hours to play. I loved the story line which was easy to follow and really felt that I wanted to help the different people you meet on the way. There is a lot to do in each scene, so expect to be kept busy. There is a certain cuteness about the game but I had just finished a game about a serial killer, so it was a nice to chill out and be entertained.
So overall this game is definitely worth playing. It has come such a long way from the previous two games. I will be playing this game again for sure.
REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME, BUT STILL YET TO PLAY BONUS
This game is alright - but I found nothing special that made it stand out from others.
There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes; * Interactive map; * Achievements room; * Gadget to use to melt, revive and neutralise; * Find each of 7 Butterflies, Night-time Butterflies, Fireflies and Dragonfies; * Morphing objects.
The graphics are alright - very colourful and cluttered. Sound is good and the music is orchestral.
The hidden object games are a variety of interactive, silhouette, straightforward and find one item to use to find another, etc. These are very easy to do and don't take long.
The mini-games are mainly sliding tiles and getting pictures, etc in the right order. These ranged from easy to medium. We've seen them all many times before.
You will be using a gadget in places where you can melt objects, revive people from stone (petrified) and neutralise evil rune thingies. I even used the fire gadget in a HOP. This is very easy to use and to know when to use it.
The main game took me about 4 hours or so to do, not skipping or hinting anything. I will probably do the bonus later in the week, but I became bored with the game and wanted to start on another.
Overall, its an okay game - more suited towards beginners or if you feel like just chilling out without giving too much thought. This game would probably go well with younger family members as well.
The game didn't rock my boat but other fishies may love it. Happy playing fishes.
I really did try to like this game, but only finished it over a couple of months. I kept going back to it to see if it got any better, but sadly no.
There is:
* Casual and Expert modes of play; * Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Journal; and * Interactive map.
The graphics are very dark, with little or no colour, and it was hard to see around scenes and what to do next. What a shame because the story and mini-games were okay.
There was some voiceovers, but it was mostly dialogue. Music was mainly piano and played on a loop, which I turned down after a while.
The hidden object games were slightly interactive straightforward which you mainly play twice. These were very cluttered and dark, so they took a while to do.
The mini-games were okay - nothing new. None were hard to do and I was able to carry on with the game very quickly.
The interactive map worked well.
All up I think the game took me about 5 hours to do. I had to use the hint a few times because I just couldn't see what I was looking for because the item was wrong (like "ramp" - actually it was a ladder!). There were quite a few wrong items in the HOPS so it was a case of hit and miss.
Overall I won't be playing this game again, but it would be nice if it was updated with more colour and getting the items right.

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
This is a great game with lots of twists and turns. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Regular and Expert modes of play; * Diary.
The graphics are very good - clear and concise with just the right amount of colour.
Sound is good. The music is orchestral and very fast.
The hidden object games are different. There is a wheel which comes up with up to 8 pictures in it which you have to find. Once you have collected all the pictures inside the wheel, then you will get an item to use. These are not hard to do because items are clear to see. You will do these HOS twice. I enjoyed doing these.
There are a good variety of mini-games. I've seen them all before but the level of challenge was good without being frustrating or boring. Some took me a while to do and/or get in the right order and colour. These were fun to do.
There is a map, but not an interactive map. If you get stuck where to go next, then look at the map inside the Diary and it will let you know where tasks are to do.
All up the game took me about 6 hours to play, not skipping or hinting anything, so well worth its money.
Overall, I enjoyed the game. There is a lot of reading to do. Some of it I did read but it did get a bit over the top, so I stopped. There is only so much reading one can take. However, everything falls into place at the end of the game and concludes satisfactorily, so don't feel guilty for not reading everything because it doesn't matter.
Definitely comes recommended. There are a lot of dead bodies that have died horrifically and only you can find out what is happening - CAN YOU HANDLE IT? Bet you can. Happy playing fishies.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Its a new developer with more games to come under a different name. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Casual, Normal and Expert modes; * Diary; * Medallion to use.
The graphics are good - not too bright and are well defined. Its easy to see everywhere and to find items you need.
Sound is good. The music is orchestral, drums and piano. Its not too loud or overpowering and I had it on the whole time.
There are a great variety of interactive hidden object games. Some are finding pairs, straightforward and finding items and putting them back in their right place. I really enjoyed doing these. There are not too many of them and I found the challenge excellent.
The mini-games are varied, with different degrees of challenge. A few took me ages with getting things in the right order. None of these are frustratingly annoying or too hard but at the same time the challenge is there to keep even the experts happy.
The mini-game at the end took me a long time to conquer. You will need speed and accuracy for this one.
There is a fair bit of reading to do in the diary which tells you of the story's history and what to do next. This doesn't take long and I didn't mind reading it at all.
There is a lot to do in this game, which I believe is a full on adventure.
All up the game took me a good 7 hours playing on Expert mode which has the Hint and Skip turned off. Just make sure at the beginning of the game which mode you want to play because you cannot change it once you've started.
Overall, a great game to play and definitely worth having a look. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for this developer in the future. They've got talent and can't wait to see what they come out with next.
This game is definitely worth putting in your collection. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes; * 15 Achievements; * Interactive map; * Find 42 hearts throughout game and bonus.
The graphics are lovely - very colourful, yet clear and well defined. At the beginning when they stepped into the foyer of the mansion, I realised I had the same rug!!!
The music is orchestral which plays quietly in the background. There is one song which is sung by a singer, but I'll let you discover where that is.
The hidden object games are brilliant which you play twice. The first one is interactive silhouette and the next is straightforward. These had a great challenge and I enjoyed every one of them. There is one morphing object per HOP which morphs quite slowly, so keep an eye out (or two) because they had quite a challenge to them.
The mini-games ranged from medium to hard and some of these took me a long time to do. But I wasn't going to let them beat me, so I persevered and slowly nutted my way through them. I really enjoyed them and there were a few I hadn't seen before, so well done devs.
There are 42 hearts to find in the game and bonus. A hand DOES NOT come over these, so there is a good challenge to find them all. If you don't want to do them all at once or move on and forget about them, then you can do them later in the Extras.
I only managed to get 11 of the 15 Achievements. Some were find 5 objects in 5 seconds, 10 objects in 10 seconds (yep, never gonna happen), etc. There are also globes down the bottom which are ghosts you met during the game.
I never used the interactive map because you pretty much stay around the same area until everything is done. There is hardly any backtracking, so there was no need to use it.
All up the game, bonus and extras took me about 9 hours or so. I really enjoyed the bonus game.
There is a lot to do in this game and there is plenty of action. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't want it to end.
I quite enjoyed this game. Yeah I know, it doesn't have all the bells and whistle that we have all come to expect, but it really is a decent game.
There is Casual and Expert modes of play and a Diary. However, there are no voiceovers or interactive map.
The graphics are okay - they are quite dull with lots of grays and blacks. No much colour anywhere, but it is easy to find objects you need. I quickly got used to the graphics and just got stuck into the game.
The music is orchestral and piano.
The hidden object games are straightforward only which you will play twice. I played them all without any problem finding the objects, but be careful because you have to be precise where you click on each item. A few times I had to click quite a few times to actually grab the item I needed. I noticed that, the smaller or skinnier the item, the harder it was to grab it.
There are lots of mini-games to play. None of these are hard to do and I've seen them all before. But still I did enjoy them.
There are a lot of locations to go to, but once you have done everything in that one particular location, then you won't need to go back there again, so you can just basically keep moving forward. So don't be put off by all the arrows everywhere - there's not much backtracking.
All up the game took me about 5 hours to do, however I wasn't playing fast and just took my time playing the HOPS and mini-games.
Overall, I liked the game. I know its an old game and quite basic but its definitely worth having a look at and using a coupon or in a sale. I love these old type of games.
The graphics are very bright and colourful but well defined and easy on the eye. Every scene is clear to see and I really enjoyed roaming around.
Sound is good. The music is stunning and I had it on very loud the whole way through. Some music is orchestral and there are others where you will listen to Tibetan music with instruments like the dranyen, bells, etc. Very haunting and so beautiful.
There are lots of interactive hidden object games with morphing objects which you will play twice. These are mainly straightforward and silhouette. I enjoyed doing these. Items are easy to see so it doesn't take too long with each HOP. If you don't fancy playing all HOPs then you can play Mahjong instead.
There are a very good range of mini-games and I played them all. None are too hard or frustrating, however there is no hand-holding either.
I managed to get all but two achievements. You get an achievement if you play the tutorial (but I never do as I don't think to) and you get an achievement if you get all the other achievements on the board (should have played the tutorial!).
There are 11 coins, 10 apples, 12 swords and 9 stars to find throughout the game (not the bonus). Most of these were relatively easy to spot, but a few were elusive.
All up the game and bonus took me about 7 hours to play on Expert mode and not skipping or hinting anything. I was disappointed when it finished as I still wanted to carry on.
