Oh boy! Just another one of those seen over and over games. I’m sorry to say that Mad Head devs are resting on their past sucesses for some (long) time now… I consider this one to be their 2nd worst game ever (I will not mention their worst one here…) It is such a pity, they started by skyrocketing and I thought they would go on like that. But they aren’t.
I also wonder why all those 5 stars ratings when this is just another failure of theirs. I get more and more disappointed in their games, which I will not buy anymore after I not only disregarded the ratings (the good ones) but played the whole demo before deciding to buy. Although I must say that the beginning was encouraging. I suspect that they build their games with an appeling beginning to make people buy. But maybe that’s just me...
Furthermore, aren’t they fed up forgetting putting buttons on the drawers, keys on the doors and elevators, etc… ? And WHO in heaven puts butterfly’s wings to open boxes ??? Can they not think of something new ? Is brain matter so expensive these days ? C’mon guys, wake up, it’s the 21st century here, remember ? Let alone the mini-games: boring and déjà vu...
I see I’m not the only one to think that they are getting worse and worse, less and less original and inventive and - yes - games are getting shorter and shorter…
Oh and, excuse me, the so called french accent is just ridiculous...
OK, in search of a fun and challenging game I bought - yes, my bad - this game before I had tried the full demo. Well, at first I was very pleased, graphics are nice, HOPS pleasant and quite original, not the usual boring-to-die ones, with mini-games in the scenes for some, but all in all, quite some fun to play. Towards the end of the game, I must say I became more and more fed up with the eternal mini-games where you have to trick around for hours (I must not be very patient or talented), which I began to skip one after another. But again all in all, it was a pleasant game. Honestly, I thought I was replaying one of those good old games...
Until I realised that this game was issued in 2017 !
Suddenly everthing changed: no shortcuts from one scene to the next, which most of the devs do nowadays, the eternal not functionning zipper (come on guys, in the modern times not everything is falling apart in this world !), very repetitive music which goes on the nerves, storyline not thrilling. Besides, where exactly is the mature audience supposed to shake and tremble with fear ? Not me, for sure.
So, in conclusion, really Mad Head devs ? Did these guys took out of a dusty drawer of theirs an ancient story they just forgot to publish and suddenly decided to launch it as a look-what-I-found miracle ? Well, too bad, you missed.
That said I just recommend you try the demo before you decide if you spend some money on this...

I only care writing about a game in two cases: either it's terrible or really fun. This one is a really fun one... Story makes sense, keeps you wanting to know what's coming next, even the bonus is a chapter of its own that is fun to play... until the very end, which I am not about to reveal because it is a very unsual one! All I can say is that I would expect a sequel. Is it too much said !? I confess that I do hate HOPs... Generally I don't play games without Alt2Hops. This game doesn't have one. Since this game caught me in its mystery, I patiently played them all and with exception of a few, they generally were original, varied, some with multi-layered tasks, and quite easy. Well, I made it... but still regret that for the "less original" ones, no alternative exists. Music is very agreable, not boring nor repetitive, graphics are of good quality, no tiresome and useless backs-and-forths between scenes. As usual the same logo is hidden in the scenes, i knoe some players don't like it but since they're quite well hidden , some of them are difficult to see. All in all, very nice and fun game, which I highly recommend...
I just finished the game and the bonus. And I truly enjoyed it ! I particularly appreciated the nice graphics, nice and easy to find the objects, storyline makes sense and - for an change - there are some good guys beside you... Since I'm not the patient kind to spend time on the HOPs I really liked the new version of their bubble shooter, sharp and comfortable... Should I say the game seemed to me a wee bit short ? Or did I just lost control of the time and played it in just two sessions for my greatest joy ? Bonus is quite short but for once it was kind of a quick sequel of the main story, which I appreciate since usually devs make us go back in time, which does really make sense to me. Honestly, all in all, quite some real fun in a long time with an Eipix game. Let's go on like this folks ! I do recommend the game...
I usually don't bother writing a review since I generally don't feel like my impact can make a difference. But here, I have to say: Like many others, I find MadHead to be my overall favourite devs. For their originality, so much in the stories, as in the art of creating worlds, making the HOs less tedious (in time I have come to hate them... but don't tell anybody), and many other qualities that I appreciate in their games.
But this one... I just cannot force myself to play, I feel sooo bored, like I'm back in kindergarden: New card, New clue, new this, new that, and so many cut scenes that make you lose the momentum; I just want to PLAY guys !
I held it out less then 15 minutes...
Unfortunately I relied on the favourable reviews and blindly bought it just after having seen the demo on YouTube. Shouldn't have... My bad.
I don't recommend this game but please play the demo and make your own opinion. I will uninstall it for good.

Guys, it's a first with Eipix... I buy almost blindly each and every one of their games, so much i love them. But this time, maybe I'm expecting too much but the main line is: I just couldn't go on playing, I'm bored... It's painfully slow, puzzles are uselessly complicated, not even tricky, just time consuming for a poor result. Storyline is uninteresting, scenes are very static, map is poorly drawn, among other things. I feel like I'm back five years ago. Concluson: cheap game I'm not used to from this team. Hopefully just an accident. I will sadly erase that game from my computer...
I don't recommend this game.

I HATE HOPs!!! I was so happy that Eipix made it finally bearable to expedite those annoying parts by replacing them with the bubble shooter, so convenient and quick! I'm very disappointed and will not play this game, although it is as of good quality as ever... Such a pity.
I recommend this game!

I rarely buy a game and stop playing it. But this one just got the better of me.I usually trust one of the top reviewer's feedback but this time i don't understand what is worth five stars… I spent about 30min. playing and hoping it to catch my interest, but felt like just going back and forth to get the objects and I have to say that the map and the hint button were pretty useless to me. None of them really help. The story is so obvious that one just has to follow the clues to add one and one. One of the major problems is that FX sounds are loud and recurrent; they don't turn off when you leave the scene, which can quickly become pretty irritating, so much so that I had to cut off the fx sound in order to keep on playing without blowing a fuse. It feels to me that the game is an old one reshaped with a very few poor gimmicks. The only objects you are supposed to collect throughout the game are hearts. None of my beloved morphs, which are always fun to search. Not to mention that the HOS are just common. It's a pity to issue something like that when so many fun and attractive features are available today! Music is poor and repetitive. I liked the real characters. Voice overs are nicely made. I also liked the idea of the plot. The house growing on by feeding on the people trapped in is original but is weakly brought to profit. At no time I got the feeling that I was "in" the adventure, enough to get lost in time. Graphics are ok. Despite the title, the game isn't scary at all. I just was bored and disappointed. This review is based on approx. 45min. playing time. Definitely not worth the CE version. Good for beginners who haven't experienced some of the best BF games available these days...
