Enjoyed this game very much; and was a good length for a SE game.
Storyline along the lines of most games; you need to save someone from a fantasy land. Gameplay was generally good; however movement between screens was a bit slow on occasions; this was especially frustrating when you needed to visit that specific scene lots in a certain part. Voice-overs were good; believable but not over dramatic.
You can choose your difficulty level as with other games. I played at the middle level, which for me, was perfect regarding difficulty. Sometimes I did actually get stuck and wasn't sure what to do next so I just tried every inventory item on every active area until something happened; which it eventually did!
One aspect which did lack in difficulty for me were the HO scenes and puzzles. Compared to some other games, these were very easy. The HO scenes were very open and the items were easy to see as they were just laid out next to each other. Although I have to say, one or two items did evade me for some minutes on a few scenes. The scenes are also timed, so the quicker you do it, the more you're rewarded. Also, if you don't want to play the HO scenes, there's the option of playing a Match 3 game instead. Puzzles were extremely easy; and quick! On most, I clicked a few times and the puzzle was over. Not very taxing. But to be honest, this didn't bother me too much. I'm not playing these games to be totally stuck on every puzzle and be tearing my hair out because it's too difficult.
Extras you had were the usual notebook; but no map in this game. You've got Achievements to gain, and also purple flowers (two in each scene) to collect to buy stuff in the shop. The shop, however, was disappointing. I thought you'd be able to buy items to use in the game, but all you can buy is Music and sketches of the game.
Another thing which I really liked, was that finally a game had a proper ending scene. So many times I play games that end abruptly and there's no closure to the game. You just use your last inventory item and then the game suddenly ends and the credits roll. You actually get a proper cinematic ending in this game; which finishes it nicely. Wish more games would do this!
I would definitely recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

Finally, another great game to add to my list. Had some poor CE games recently that I was starting to lose interest in Big Fish games.
Same format as the first Phantasmat which I was pleased about as I loved that game too. I'm utterly amazed that there are some bad reviews for this game. I really don't know what these people look for in a game.
As I said, story is similar to the first Phantasmat where you're helping restless souls find peace. I liked that the game was clearly structured into sections, so there were several locations and you had tasks in each location which meant you didn't have to travel backwards and forwards too much to pick up items or complete tasks. You complete one location, and then move onto the next.
Graphics are lovely and clear and crisp. Made me feel quite cold actually as the snow and snowflakes looked very real. I liked the HOS as they weren't cluttered and you could see the items clearly, but the scenes were still hard enough that you had to search for a while on some items. Puzzles are ok, however fairly easy which didn't bother me that much as I hate spending ages trying to figure out what to do.
You don't get a map or notebook unfortunately which was one thing I missed in this game. I do like a good notebook so I can see what I've done and look at notes from previous areas/tasks. You've got your usual hint button though which gives you clear help if you get stuck; not cryptic clues that don't help like in some games. There aren't any collectables though which was also a bit disappointing as I like to have extra things to look for throughout the game.
The length of the game also seems very good. I've been playing for a good two hours and I'm only 49% of the way through. You can see how far through you are by clicking on the Tasks button and it gives you a percentage.
Thoroughly enjoying this game and I'm glad I didn't listen to the poor reviews. It does NOT deserve a low rating.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game after playing about 30 minutes because I was really enjoying it. Wish I hadn't bought it! I am bored out of my brain! Wish I'd listened to the other bad reviews, but I thought I'd give it a go.
The first half an hour is great but what I didn't know is that the same challenge/objective is repeated over and over and over. I am so disappointed. There's so much repetitive game play and so much going backwards and forwards. You barely get to do anything before the next cut scene and you have to move onto the next area.
It has no structure; everything is just chucked in together, for example there's no separate HO scenes, its just mixed in with exploring a room, and there's about 3 puzzles in the whole game, not counting the repetitive 'jigsaw' puzzles every 10 minutes.
I haven't finished the game yet, but I think I'm going to struggle to get to the end!
This is the second CE game this month which I've bought and found a big let down. Very disappointed!
I don't recommend this game.

Wow, really struggled to finish this game unfortunately. I'm amazed at how many good reviews it's got! It was nothing like the first one, the Dorian Gray Syndrome, which was really disappointing as I loved that game.
The main problems were:
(1) The puzzles were way too easy and gameplay was dull. I just got really bored in general. No excitement, everything moved really slowly, including the characters!)
(2) The awful english accents. I really don't know why they have non-english people doing these roles. I wanted to scream at my monitor all the time saying "We don't speak like that!"
(3) There was way too much dialogue! I'd say about 50% of the game was taken up by characters talking. It got soooo boring and you can't even skip through each sentence, it was either sit and die of boredom listening to them talk for about 10 minutes, or skip the entire speech and not know what they spoke about.
The game was also quite short for a CE, however, in my opinion, the end couldn't have come soon enough.
I'm trying to think of something I did like, but I'm struggling to find anything. The HO scenes were ok I guess, and the game scenes were clear and crisp, but that's about it!
A bit frustrated to have spent £10 on this game! Very disappointed.
I don't recommend this game.

Definitely back to basics with this game. Quite basic graphics, puzzles and HO scenes were very easy, and I didn't have to use a hint once throughout the whole game. Having said that though, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I used a Free Game coupon to buy this, however I would have paid money as it was just a nice easy going fun game. Probably would have preferred a CE though as it didn't last very long. But I do recommend it to players who just want a casual game for a Sunday afternoon.
I recommend this game!

Brilliant game! Definitely one of my favourites now. Had the feel of the Midnight Mysteries collection; possibly by the same developers.
THE GAME:
Murder mystery. Really enjoyable storyline and fun to catch the killer, and I liked the way the story jumped between the present and past. Graphics were quite good; clear and not too cartoony.
HOS/PUZZLES:
There weren't too many HO scenes which I was pleased to see. I sometimes get bored with games if all you're doing is HO scenes. And some were hidden behind other things or had a description of the item instead of the actual name, which made it a bit more interesting. Puzzles were ok; not overly challenging but they weren't just boring puzzles you've seen before, they were actually incorporated into what you were doing; e.g. deciphering footsteps, so they linked well into the story.
WHAT DO YOU GET?:
You have a journal in the form of a PDA.
There's no map, but as the game was divided up into sections, it wasn't needed.
There were 70 Badges to collect, and 50 Dream Catchers which gave you extra hints.
Three game modes; casual, advanced and expert.
LENGTH OF GAME:
Length was good; however I could have played for longer, so kind of wish I'd bought the CE.
All in all, a really enjoyable fun game. Hope they bring out a sequel!
I recommend this game!

Finally another good game. Played some horrors recently but this one I thoroughly enjoyed.
THE GAME:
- Fantasy, with a bit of horror thrown in.
- Lovely little storyline. Princess has to save her Prince from a horrible witch and unite their kingdoms. About time we had a heroine instead of the man saving the girl all the time! Also nice to see the brief return of little nanny Kim! :)
- Graphics were ok; nothing special but way better than some I've seen. Not too cartoony which tends to put me off some games.
HOS/PUZZLES:
- Two types of HO scenes. The usual finding the object from the list and then another type where you have the shape of the item and you need to find one, which will then help you get the next one, and so on.
- Puzzles ranged in difficulty which I always prefer to them all being easy or all being hard.
WHAT DO YOU GET?
- Notebook
- No map
- Hint and Skip buttons
- Three modes of play; Casual, Advanced and Hardcore.
LENGTH OF GAME:
- Very good length. Took me three or four evenings to complete.
Highly recommended.
I recommend this game!

Brilliant game. Reminded me of the Midnight Mysteries collection which I also loved.
THE GAME:
- Help the restless souls on the island and defeat the evil one to save the good ones.
- Lovely graphics; nice and clear.
- Clicking between locations in the game was a bit slow some times, but mostly quite good.
HOS/PUZZLES:
- HO scenes were ok, nothing too special. Each item I could find fairly easily. Some interaction. Some scenes were a little frustrating as there was light shining onto the pile of items and you couldn't see them overly well.
- Puzzles ranged between difficulty. Most were quite simple but others needed a little thought. Most of the puzzles I've seen before.
WHAT DO YOU GET?
- No journal or map. (I played on Advanced though so maybe you do get a journal if you play Casual).
- 32 awards to gain, e.g. complete a HO scene in under a minute, or complete a puzzle without help.
- 40 'faces' to collect.
- Three modes of play; Casual, Advanced and Expert.
LENGTH OF GAME:
- Very good length for a SE game. Took me just under 4 hours to complete. You do get time penalties for not completing puzzles though.
All in all, thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend.
I recommend this game!

Excellent game! Thoroughly enjoyed.
THE GAME:
- Fantasy type game; but no weird creatures or anything.
- Story line was ok, kinda got bored with it in the middle but the ending was nice.
- Graphics were good, more real looking than cartoon-like which I prefer. Hate cartoony graphics!
- Live actors are used for the characters which sometimes can be weird, but this wasn't too bad. However the character mouths didn't move with the dialogue which was poor and a bit distracting. Not overly difficult to get the mouths moving with the words I don't think!
HOS/PUZZLES:
- HO scenes all fairly easy. They were interactive and some items you needed to go to your Inventory to use items you've collected to get a HO. Like this style of HO scenes. More fun than just searching round the screen for all the items.
- Puzzles again were fairly easy, however now and again a quite difficult one would arrive and I'd be scratching my head. Only used the skip button once as that particular puzzle was driving me insane!
WHAT DO YOU GET?
- Journel
- Maps
- Hint and Skip buttons
- No extras to collect in SE
LENGTH OF GAME:
- Very long! For a SE game, this was extremely long. Just as you think it's about to end, another section starts with a whole new map. I played for a good 5 hours I would say. Loved it!
I recommend this game!
