The game play and story was good and I enjoyed playing the game, but it was way too short! I finished within about 2 hours. Luckily I used one of my free game credits to buy this, otherwise I think I'd be pretty annoyed. Graphics are ok, bit cartoony for my liking. The general puzzle solving and H0 scenes were good though, some challanging, some not so challanging. Overall, not bad, but I wouldn't put it down as one of my favourites.
This is a brilliant game. The best Big Fish game I've played so far, and I've played about 20-25 to date. So fun, and interesting, with lots to do, and the added bit of piecing together clues and photos on an evidence wall adds a bit more to an otherwise normal puzzle/H0 adventure. Its a really good length game too, took me several evenings. Definitely highly recommended!
GOOD POINTS - Very good length of game, plus the Bonus Chapter was longer than any other game I've played. - Varying difficulty of puzzles so its not pain-stakingly easy, or pull your hair out difficult. - Storyline was great. First story I've actually really got into and really hoped for a happy ending.........you'll have to play the game to see if there was a happy ending!
BAD POINTS - The constant rain and thunder noise really did bug me after a while! - The music was really sad! I know its a horror story, but the music was really depressing and hindered my enjoyment slightly, as I felt really down!
GOOD POINTS - Good length. Took me several evenings to complete - Good storyline, however it helps if you've played the previous games so you understand what has happened before and who the characters are. - Good mixture of inventory based puzzles and Hidden Object scenes. I get a bit bored when there's too many H0 scenes! - I liked having a map to follow. Gives you a bit of help when you're stuck as it shows you which rooms you need to re-visit to complete an objective.
BAD POINTS - Graphics are a little fuzzy and the sound quality went a bit dodgy in areas. - The voices are not great. It is clearly an American putting on an English accent. I don't understand why they have American's doing English characters, and vice versa. Why not have an English actor, do an English character! Makes it more real and believable.
Another great game from Big Fish. Good story and not bad graphics. Lots more adventure and inventory based puzzles, rather than constant Hidden Object scenes which I was particularly pleased to see. Overall, I loved the same. Only down point was that the constant loud speaker messages from the maniac got on my nerves after a while, so I just skipped through them. Definitely recommend this game!
This is a fab game, with a great mixture of adventure, exciting storyline and hidden object scenes, plus it's not too short. Puzzles are a bit easy, but I'm not playing on the hardest level. I love the Midnight Mysteries series, and this is the best yet. Hope there's more to come after this one!
This is the best Hidden Object/Adventure game I've played so far, and I've played a lot of games on here! Graphics are much better than some games I've played and the puzzles are challanging and you actually have to think a bit more about how to use your inventory items, rather than knowing striaght away where to use them. Length was also good; hate spending money only to find I've completed the game in an hour or something, but this kept me occupied for several hours. Love the live actors too, that gave the game a more real spooky feel as they seemed genuinely terrified. I was pleased to see there are more Mystery Case Files games however was disappointed with the quite bad reviews. Looks like I picked the best of the bunch with this one. Highly recommended!
Wow, I am totally engrossed in this game. It's one of the best I've played on here so far. Great story, fab inventory puzzles and not too many hidden object scenes where I feel it can get boring. Most puzzles are hard enough to get you thinking for a bit. I love all these games; but wish they were just a tiny bit longer; that's my only grumble. I think I'm nearing the end of this one and have only been playing a couple of hours.
