Although not a fan of the series I decided to give this a go based on the other reviews. I played the demo which lasted just under an hour.
The game is very straightforward, you go here, collect that and use it pretty quickly. The HOS are varied but still nothing special imo. Puzzles okay difficulty wise but again nothing really exciting. I need to be drawn in to a game from the beginning and this just didn't do that, it was all just so so.
I will therefore pass and maybe buy the SE if nothing else taking my fancy at the time.
I demo'd the CE but decided to wait for the SE to buy and that was the right decision imo.
The game is a good length, the storyline is interesting, lots of areas to explore, straightforward HOS and not too difficult puzzles. All in all an enjoyable adventure. A slight downside for me was the ending - the game just sort of stopped without all the loose ends being tied up. Not sure if that means a sequel or if that would have been the bonus chapter in the CE...if the latter then a bit naughty of the devs really.
The game started off okay....I do like the mystical, so was looking forward to the potion making etc..lol.
After a short time however I got bored - the game is very slow! Not only that but the HOS are bog standard and very easy, as are the puzzles, so all in all a bit disappointing IMO.
I played the demo and was a little bit on the fence with this one, it had got me interested enough not to wait for the SE, so I did buy. I am soooo glad I did as it gets better the more you play.
There were lots of different areas to explore and you move backwards and forwards through time (fab!). The puzzles were not too difficult but they were so varied that it really kept my interest. Not too many HOS and they are pretty straightforward ones with a little interaction.
It was a good long game and the bonus chapter was also a reasonable length with a very interesting twist at the end which I am glad I didn't miss!
Overall something a little bit different from the games we have had lately....I will look out for more from this dev!
I recommend this game!

Mystic Legacy: The Great Ring
Uncover the dark legacy hidden within a Romanian castle to save your friend from an evil spirit!
I wasn't sure about this one having read the other reviews but decided to give it a go and am really glad I did.
No the puzzles are not particularly challenging and the HOS pretty straightforward, but there are lots of areas to explore and things to do. I liked the story and the fact that the characters address you directly by name. As other reviewers have said some of the comments are also quite funny.
Sometimes you don't want to exercise your brain too much, you just want to play a nice game which makes you smile and this does exactly that!
Played the demo in less than 50 mins and no strong urge to continue with it I'm afraid.
This type of storyline is usually right up my street and it doesn't bother me that there are no HOS. However, as other reviewers have said the puzzles were on the whole pretty easy and even the adventure was too straightforward, so all in all what was lacking for me was any challenge!
Bit disappointed as usually like the games produced by this dev.
Travel from the deepest trenches of the Atlantic Ocean to the awe-inspiring wonders of Mars as you solve the greatest archeological puzzle known to man: the origin of Atlantis.
I did play the demo for the CE of this game but it didn't really grab me at the time. Glad I bought the SE though as really got in to it this time around. It is something completely different from the usual stories so a really refreshing change. The story flowed well and I really liked the twists and turns!
The puzzles are good, HOS pretty standard, but not too many so that was okay. Thank goodness for the interactive map as lots of different areas to explore so needed it!
Having played and loved the other games in the series I bought without playing the demo and as other reviewers have said, I was not disappointed. It is as good as all the others and judging by the bonus chapter, there is still more to come...yehhhhhhhhhh! Please let it be quickly tho...lol.
I am new to the twisted land games and found this one nice and long with quite a few different areas to explore.
A few too many HOS for me, especially towards the end of the game...not sure why some devs do that(?!?). Puzzles were mixed in that some were easy, others not so, but skip button available after a while. Also quite a lot of backtracking, but which doesn't usually bother me but some of this one seemed a bit unnecessary.
Played the demo despite the few so so reviews and loved it so bought it. The storyline is the type I like...magic and mayhem..lol, and the graphics were lovely.
The HOS in the demo were straightforward and not too many. As the game progressed however I started to get a little bored as the number of HOS increased and each time I needed a new object I had to do another HOS which I really dislike in a game.
I had trouble finding how to access the bonus chapter (it is in the strategy guide), and it was a bit 'more of the same' to be honest so a little disappointed in having spent the money on the CE.
Overall the game was for the most part enjoyable though, hence the 4 star rating.
