The Awakening series has always been a must buy for me...until this one. The popups made me quit and uninstall after 15 minutes of playing. Such a disappointment!
I don't recommend this game.

I'm so happy to see this game! I've always known I can rely on BZ to create beautiful, challenging and addicting games and this one does not disappoint. It's lighthearted, yet enchanting without worry of entering scenes full of doom and gloom. 3 challenge levels, guide moves with you, refreshing mini-puzzles, journal, kit and HOG's aren't the norm (good change).
I recommend this game!

I went into this one thinking a little spider activity wouldn't phase me... I was wrong. There are way too many creepy-crawling stars in it for me. Visually, the game is stunning; clean, crisp and life like. The music doesn't become bothersome, however the numerous voice-overs and narratives became very frustrating. 3 different challenge levels, real people, MANY mini-games (my favorite part) and strategy guide stays on the page you left it. Overall, anyone that likes a challenge and doesn't find pest control to be necessary, you picked a winner.
I recommend this game!

Getting right to it...
- way too much dialogue for such an obvious plot.
- Mini games posed no thought process (I played on the Advanced level)
- A lot of to and fro though there is a map.
- At times the captured will jump you to your next 'challenge'; which I found to be a con since I like having to remember where I need to use a certain weapon, gadget, and/or puzzle piece.
- The villain and her camp get downright annoying after the first couple times they pop up.
- I finished the demo in 27 minutes.
-Visually: okay, music: nothing special.
I don't recommend this game.

I've been waiting for the next installment for so long! Before I started the demo I was sure this was going to be my next purchase. Boomzap never fails to create the most visually stunning and captivating games. If you like the lighter stories that do not make you escape from jail, an asylum or haunted house, then look no further. 3 game modes, well-suited music and the revival of a couple game helpers that previous Awakening installments introduced. Happy gaming!
I recommend this game!

I hunt for games that are lighter and engaging...this was not. Only tip I can give you is if you're an avid gamer and like a challenge, don't waste your time.
I don't recommend this game.

One and only reason I'm not buying this CE; very frustrating waiting for the cursor to catch up to my clicks. It is truly the only flaw I found. I'm bummed!

Visually this game is stellar. Scenes are stunning, clean and full of color. Music is well suited and voice overs didn't annoy me but if you aren't a fan of audible stories, you can skip them. Subject matter revolves around the occult and voodoo. It's very Practical Magic, if you will. i.e. mainly spells for good, but sometimes for evil. I found it to be a good length so don't let the standard version throw you for a rip off.
I recommend this game!

The reasons behind my less than mediocre review are:
- Map shows activated areas but doesn't let the player jump scenes.
- Any true Phantom fans will be disappointed because the creative liberties taken in this one hardly match the story we love.
- Puzzles are not challenging, but annoying and the skip penalty is 30 minutes to your playing time.
The pros:
- Beautiful imagery
- Various levels which make the player curious about where they will end up next.
As always try before you buy.
I recommend this game!

Whenever I see a game like this I hesitate to even play the demo because I'm not a fan of gore. I am so happy to return with a glowing review. The previous reviews pretty much summed up the game very clearly. Some cons that I found were: too much dialogue, the threats that occur when the choice to feed or pass over a victim seem pointless and the HOG's at times have a click delay which will lead to click penalty if playing in advanced mode.
I recommend this game!
