This is one of the easier match 3 games out there, with a twist or two. Rotate the chains to make your links, it'll hook you and keep you playing. The whole storyline of the men building the world (who look suspiciously like Jesus) is just plain cute. Found myself smiling more often than not after every cut scene.
The story mode is what you play first, as you progress through that you eventually unlock strategy, puzzle and arcade modes.
The one thing this game is missing is challenge. Story mode will take you a while to get through thanks to it's length (7 "steps" of a half dozen or so levels each), but is very easy. The graphics are excellent and the storyline is charming. The extra modes you unlock do make you think a bit, and all told it's an excellent way to pass the time.
This game is very similar to Heartwild Solitaire. You match the cards as you would match tiles in mahjongg. The music is relaxing, the storyline is appropriate, and you have a clear sense of where you are in the game at all times.
Played 33 minutes of the trial before writing this, and had I not found Heartwild first, I'd have probably bought this one instead. Worth a look for a relaxing experience.
As another reviewer stated, if you're a fan of Fairway and Fairway Solitaire, this is an excellent alternative. Game play is very similar, the difference being an entirely different storyline/theme, and fewer options for replaying specific levels and nabbing your extras when you need them.
This one hooked me, and kept me playing for days and weeks now. The challenge level is good, and it doesn't get frustrating until right at the very end. I'm still trying to get past the final set - haven't gotten there yet.
My one gripe is also what another reviewer stated, you can draw several of the exact same card in a row (which is almost never what you need), especially late in the game. Save your points, buy the extra cards, use them.
Soothing music (to the point of this being the game I want to play just before bedtime), mahjonng-style cardplay, good graphics, and an appropriate storyline.
This is an excellent "wind down and relax" card game. There is nothing too difficult here, just match the cards as opposed to 1 up or 1 down. I was on the fence at first, but after spending some time with it, it's grown on me. If you want to mellow out with a card game, try this one.
Fast paced, techno music, neon graphics, challenging, and hyper. I called it quits 51 minutes into the demo after reaching stage 3-5, mostly just to breathe. Wasn't what I expected with the Luxor name, but can't say as I hate it. Very different take on a marble popper, just don't expect a familiar, relaxing experience.

For those of you who remember the DOS/BBS days before the Internet... this game reminds me hugely of "Heartland PC". This game is definitely retro and old school, and VERY enjoyable. It is very well done, The level of challenge increases by just the right amount as you progress through the game.
There are 100 levels after the tutorials, four groups of 25 levels each. After three very intense days of a long weekend, I'm into the last set, and am needing youtube and elsewhere walkthroughs to complete some of them.
The graphics are also old schoolish, outside of the opening sequence (which is beautiful), and that doesn't detract from the game at all. The actual game play is very much as it was in the late 80's early 90's.
Anyone who loves old school puzzlers should like this game. Glad I nailed this one. Thumbs up from me.

In the style of Mario Bros and Crash Bandicoot, a refreshing game to find on bigfish. It won't drive you crazy to complete it, you should be able to reach the last level in an intense day or two of playing. This game is not perfect, and has a few bugs - I got trapped inside walls once and had to lose a life to get back to normal - but the fun factor is way up there for anyone looking for a Mario-style game in the here and now, and I loved the island theme behind the game.
This game actually caused me to look up others of the same type on here, and a few gems were found at http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/genres/23/platformer.html (that link is not currently in the genre list as I type this).
I'll be playing this one again to hit all those "secret areas" I didn't find the first time through.
I recommend this game!

This game really surprised me. On the surface it sounded ridiculous, but it kept popping up as #1 on "Games You'll Love", so I checked out the 1 hour trial on a whim, and am glad I did. Within 15 minutes I had to have it.
This arcade game will keep you busy for a very long time, and won't drive you crazy in the process. I just finished playing it for 6 hours straight, am somewhere around level 100 and am nowhere near finished. The graphics are excellent and the game play takes a few minutes to get the hang of, but after you do, you'll have a tough time turning it off.
The theory's pretty simple but I'm finding it very hard to describe: you put the monkey in the smallest section of the screen that you can, and try to "close off" the bugs. If your rope hits a bug before it makes the "wall", you lose a life. If you manage to deep six all the bugs before you've closed off 85% of the area, you get extra points and can get 100% clearage. I know that's vague, but this is one of those games you just have to play to "get" it.
As you progress through the game, it gets tougher and extra powerups happen, all of which are pretty transparent but are appreciated when they come into play. The side theme of the "town" is just okay, but the real fun is just the gameplay itself.
Glad I found this one.
I recommend this game!

I bought both "Fairway" and "Fairway Solitaire" at the same time after reading the reviews and playing the demos. What a surprise this game was! I've spent more time with "Fairway" than any other game I've purchased here. This has got to be the most addicting solitaire game ever created. Be careful, you can blow entire evenings and days with this thing!
The only thing I wish I'd done differently is that I'd purchased the collector's edition instead of the base game, which I may yet do. I had the opportunity to check out the CE over the holidays, and the major difference is this:
In the base game, there are 6 groups of 9 courses each, plus a bonus 7th group that you can individually purchase courses from with your golf bucks. The collector's edition adds groups 8 through 16 to that, which appear to be adaptions of the original "Fairway Solitaire" game. These extra groups of courses don't need to be purchased with golf bucks, you just play them and unlock the next level by reaching par or better like the rest of the game. That's a WHOLE LOT of extra content to keep you coming back and trying to unlock the next course, not to mention going back later and trying for 3 stars on all of them.
Excellent game, this. Don't obsess over the gopher, but do bash his evil little noggin at every opportunity. You'll even get 2500 golf bucks eventually for that. Which is oddly satisfying.

This game is everything a marble popping addict could want, on the base level. If you get all the way back to the Dark Vortex and clear that, you have won the game... and that will likely take you a few tries (it took me 2 tries of complete playthroughs and I'm no rookie at these).
From there is where completionists will have trouble... after you win, you can play at the "expert" and "master" levels, and that's where it gets ridiculously difficult to the point of ego destruction.
All in all, this is my favorite marble popper with a lot of replay value at the base level, and I keep going back to it again and again. One of my better purchases.
