There are many different puzzles challenging you on memory, spatial acumen, quick thinking, problem solving, etc. It's a fun version of the popular "brain training" type games....
All games start out very easy but quickly become quite challenging... You can play in either timed or untimed mode.
There are three forms of game play: quest mode, test mode, and practice mode. In quest mode, you have to fuel up the train by completing various puzzles which are given randomly. The other two modes are pretty self explanatory.
Don't be fooled by the somewhat childish graphics and quest text - which, to me, make the game seem to be aimed at kids. This, like all the Prof. Fizziwizzle games, is great fun and challenging for all....
I recommend this game!

Wayyyyyy different from the norm.... Once you get the hang of how to solve the puzzles, you can usually get them figured out (after a few tries usually ;)...
Basically, you have to figure out how to get rid of the skeleton and mummy heads without losing the gold objects...
As someone else said earlier, on most of the puzzles, timing is everything! The order in which you click the objects and your timing can make all the difference in whether or not you succeed.
It starts out quite easy, but gets more challenging as you go along.... And it keeps you trying! Don't worry if you fail a first, second, or third time.... keep trying and you'll figure it out... ;)
Have fun!

Imho, the best match 3 game out there.... It's actually three games in one -- puzzle mode will tax your brain -- it's a lot of fun tho, so don't miss it.
There's also "endless" mode and the "normal" match 3.... I don't usually feel I have to beat the time or get all gold in a game (altho green is the highest score here) -- but this one's so much fun, I did go back and replay levels to get all green.... I recommend starting at the normal level and work your way up through all three levels.
The power ups are a lot of fun and very helpful.... At the end of each location, you must complete an HO scene -- and they are challenging, but fun....
Overall, a great game and I highly recommend it -- even if you don't normally play match 3.... The puzzle mode is challenging and keeps me trying.... easy at first, but gets much more challenging as you go along....
Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Ok, if you dislike anything occult, avoid this one. Also, if you dislike games that don't tax your brain, you won't like this one either -- so you guys can quit reading right here... :)
For those of you like me, who love a good story and a game you can play without stressing out and/or having to open up the walkthrough several times-- that makes you use your brain, requires you to pay attention, and keeps you engaged -- then this game is for you.
As far as story lines go, this is one of my favorites. The graphics are beautiful and the voiceover is good. I always turn the music down, so I cannot speak to that. I usually listen to the tv while playing a game, but this one required more attention -- so I played my ipod instead.... :)
The one thing that would have been nice to have is an interactive map as there are many, many scenes and a good bit of backtracking....
Thoroughly enjoyable! Game play is different from most altho the HO scenes are typical. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Enjoyed this one very much.... It had me chuckling a good bit! Loved the ferret!
Good mix of HO and mini puzzles with very clever twists on the puzzles.... and some I've never seen before --not your same ol' same ol'. If you skip a puzzle, you must complete a junkpile HO scene.... Thank goodness I only had to resort to the skip once, because you have to find a LOT of items in an extremely cluttered junk pile!
Other than that, the HO's are not junked up. Most are finding several of one item rather than the seek and find. I'm not real patient, so I made use of the hint button, which refills kinda slowly, but is unlimited... ;) I usually had to use it only for the last item and sometimes not at all.
The dialog can be skipped but I found it to be very entertaining. The voice overs are excellent. I always turn the music down so I can't really speak to that....
Some puzzles were incredibly easy -- others not so much -- and some were just downright fun... Catching the mice was my favorite.... One tip -- when you've completed the game, be sure to go back and replay the puzzles -- they are different than when you did them in the game and have a few extra levels to them... Don't miss the mouse catching one especially -- three additional levels to what you originally played.
The game is not akin to solitaire where you're just relaxing and don't have to think much, but you won't burn up a lot of brain cells either -- it's in between and just a very enjoyable experience....
Length of gameplay is average.... I would have loved much more. Really enjoyed this one!
I recommend this game!

First of all, if you dislike dark, occult or fantasy themes -- go no further. Everyone else, read on... :)
I'm giving this one five stars even though it ran very slowly on my nearly new iMac.... I even uninstalled and reinstalled - it didn't help. But the game was so good, I was willing to deal with how slow it ran on my computer - plus you might not have the same problem with yours. So I recommend using the trial version before purchasing....
The game is not terribly challenging for all you stress-hungry brainiacs out there, but challenging enough to keep you engaged. I didn't have to open up the walkthrough to figure the game out -- plus the hint button lets you know when there is nothing to do in the current area (which I appreciate).
Also, although you do a lot of backtracking, the game has an interactive map, which I find highly desirable in these types of games. A fun little twist is that you must collect gold coins in each location to enable it on the map.
There's a very good mix of HO and puzzles.... I'm a much greater fan of puzzles and finding things within the game than I am of the pure HO scenes. The game has a few but not so many as to bore me. It had a mini-puzzle I hadn't seen before - sort of a backwards match 3 - it takes some thought but doesn't fry your brain. Also some fun twists on old puzzles.
It includes several substories -- one's a murder mystery, another requires finding ingredients to cook a couple recipes, another involves repairing a pirate's ship, etc. This game has it all!
The story is excellent and does not get lost within the subplots. Loved it. For those who dislike the "interruption" of a story line, it can be skipped. But this one doesn't interrupt your gameplay that often or that long, yet is fully developed and helps the game move along. For me, a game is far more interesting when the story is as good as this one. Also, unlike so many other games I've played, it has a satisfying ending but lets you know there will be a sequel (can't wait).
I would say the length of gameplay is average...
I thoroughly enjoyed Curse at Twilight.... Hope you do too!
I recommend this game!

I found this one to be enjoyable for short periods of time.... meaning, it's one I'll play for a while until I get tired of it, and then come back to later. (I get bored with pure HOs after an hour or so... ;)
It's quite a bit different from the normal HO games... Basically, you are traveling through time to fix anomalies caused by a clumsy scientist who inadvertently brought a butterfly from prehistoric times into the present.
In each time period, you must first find missing parts of critical inventions and then fix them using the pieces you've found. There are usually 2-3 areas within a scene that you must zoom into in order to find everything needed. After you've repaired the invention, you must find items that do not belong in that particular era (like cell phones before they were invented, etc.).
You are given the number of items that must be found or eliminated and are tracked on the time taken and the percentage of faulty clicks, but you are not on the clock -- so no stress. The hints, if needed, fill up quickly. I haven't yet completed the game but, so far, no junk piles! Yay!! :)
If you're a fan of HO games, you'll enjoy this one.
I recommend this game!

I'm not a fan of most TM games as I'm not a fan of adding stress in my life ;) - however, this one gives you a relaxed mode you can choose where you don't have to beat the clock to play and enjoy the game.
I don't know what it's like playing against the clock, but in the relaxed mode at least, the animals won't die if you don't tend them immediately, etc. The only thing you can lose is ice-cream, which will melt if you don't pick it up in time.... (makes sense to me! ;)
In fact, it's actually helpful that the animals don't produce an item until you tend them - and, except for peacock feathers (which did disappear on me eventually), you can leave the produce there without losing it. Therefore, you can have it ready and pick it up only when you need it. Also, you can retend the animals/machines while produce is waiting to be picked up so that they immediately begin producing the next batch when you DO use the items.
As an example, leave the peacocks wanting water until you need a feather -- they won't die of thirst. :) Also, I found it helpful to load the ice cream machine with milk only, and leave the strawberries until I was ready to use the ice cream, so it wouldn't melt on me. The other machines can be fully loaded with needed items ahead of time.
I liked that you can auction off your unused produce and make a lot of money - just be sure to only pick the greed bids. (Dark green gives you the most money.) So if you have the time, go ahead and make unneeded items... Also liked that the game doesn't really end -- you can continue playing after you've completed the main levels....
Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I would love to see a game for decorating aquariums where the fish aren't so "cutesy" tho.... where they look like real fish.... now THAT would definitely become a screen saver!
This game is basically the same as the first one -- only real difference is that you don't upgrade the comfort items... So if you enjoy a relaxing game of Match 3 and the creativity of decorating an aquarium, you'll love this....

Ok, it's not nearly as fun as Superhero U, but it's still a great game.... Also, this one is lasting me a very, very long time. When I start to get bored with it, I just play something else for a while and come back to it the next day or so.
It IS a fun game, but the characters run out of funny remarks after a while and it takes more time to build your superhero status than they have snarky comments.... So if you're easily bored like me, you'll want to play this one in spurts.
I still haven't gotten to the end of the game and I've been playing it daily for several days a few hours at a time.... I LOVE games that don't end quickly and give you a lot of game time even after you've completed it. I didn't love this as much as Superhero U but still recommend it highly....
I especially miss the match 3 where you can spin the matches (sigh).... ;) However, there are lots of battles and several mini-games - it's not all Match 3 all the time... You can choose between many mini-games and totally skip those you don't like without being penalized; I just choose the ones I like and click on "not now" on those I don't. After a bit, those choices are replaced with others.
Great game! Enjoy!
I recommend this game!
