For 25 years, you thought you had no family. But one night, a man steps through a mirror from another world, claiming to be your uncle... changing your life forever.
I won't go into the storyline of this game as you can get that from the description of the game & playing it. This is a good HOG/puzzle adventure game. I would have liked it better if there wasn't so much bouncing back & forth from one scene to another for finding objects, to go to another scene, to go back to still another scene to progress in the story. Fortunately there is a transporter map & that helps, but again, it's bouncy, bouncy. The graphics are clear & I like the era portrayed. The HOGs are straight forward, clear & easy to find or make the objects. The puzzles are challenging enough without being too frustrating to solve. The hint button recharges a little slower on casual mode than I would have expected. You have an owl to help you reach objects that are too high. I like the story. Typical "you are the only one to save the world" theme but it was good. There are different portals you must enter that are within the one world in which you must complete before going thru another portal to advance in this game. The music kind of drones in the background for me & I finally muted it altogether. I will purchase this game. I haven't decided if it will be the CE or the SE. I recommend this game. It is not an intense game in my opinion. It is fun & enjoyable.
This is a frustrating game....at least for me. The game is very different from what I expected from a HOG/adventure. There is a lot of dialogue from Emily who has to travel to find clues that release lost souls. The book is dangerous for her, but she is not letting it stop her from a mission. The HOGs are not clear. Some of the objects I had to use the hint button to find as they were so small I couldn't see them or were the same color of the area they were located. I muted the music. Her voice was irritatingly calm, sweet, English.. There is ink to collect to help with....I am not sure what. The hint button recharges quickly & you need that. At least I did. I don't normally use the hint button unless really stuck, but to move on in the demo I had to use it too much. There are silhouette Hogs & HOGS within HOGS. One was use the magnifier to find what was invisible. I didn't enjoy playing this game. I will not buy it. I was very disappointed.
This game is superb in graphic quality, fun factor, visual & sound effects & storyline. The trial ended before I knew an hour had past. Your nephew is charged with the murder of his sister supposedly for the inheritance he would receive as the only living heir to their parents fortune. You are called in to help determine his guilt or innocence because of your ability to touch objects & see what happened. The story has a very smooth flow with finding objects and seeing what happened around them. You touch a picture & are "teleported to that scene. There is a map that teleports you where you need to find clues & objects to unlock a new room or a box with a needed object. There are collectable statuettes, clues with video explanation of its meaning & morphing objects. The HOGs are clear with some that have an action to get the item. The puzzles are pretty straight forward. The skip button is available if needed. I didn't use it. I really like this game & am going to purchase it. I highly recommend this game. Enjoy....
This game didn't excite me from the start. I knew it would be different but.... Click the button & it shows feet buttons where you can go in many directions. The tutorial is very annoying. 30 minutes into the game the hint button froze. I clicked the directional buttons nothing. I cannot go any further. The map is no help. You must be very careful what button, when to click. It is puzzles, no HOGS. I mute the music. The graphics are ok. You go into a scene to retrieve a collectable & one action and you are done. I found this game confusing as to what to do next & how to do it. Maybe it's just me but, this is not a game I will buy. I neither recommend nor not recommend this game. Try for yourself.
Your librarian friend wants your help as a journalist – he’s found an ancient book that is still unfinished. Can you save the world in the book before their story ends?
I knew from the great graphics & fairy tale storyline I would like this game. The level of challenge isn't too hard but not so easy as to be boring. It has a good flow to it. The HOGs & puzzles are clear & different depending on if you need to find a piece to get another piece etc to get the end piece or straight HOG or silhouette items to get another item. I muted the music. Something I usually do when playing. I love the variety of characters. Follow the rabbit. Help the crane. Moving into another scene an enchanted pencil appears & draws something you must interact with to get thru to the scene or find a clue. There are plenty of "unexpected" in this journey. I finished the trial before time ran out. I really hate when that happens. Find the Enchanted Crown before Eldor the Evil does. Save the King. Restore the kingdom. This is a must buy for me. I recommend this game.
This is not a Mahjong game I liked- Like being the key word. You must progress thru varied levels removing gold tiles in a specified amount of moves. You are rated 1,2 or 3 stars according to how well you do in each set. I muted the oriental music. I am not a fan of timed games & it affected my stars. I play casual modes not liking to be rushed but for relaxation. This game didn't fit that bill. I played a few games with varied results. Storylines for these kinds of games are superfluous in my opinion. I won't play it again. Glad it was the trial.
A hero, a Princess trapped in a snow globe he must free, her father the King, Ice Knights blocking your path, hot air balloons deliver packages that when opened people disappear & you must restore the kingdom 10 minutes into the trial I knew I had to have this game. Graphics are great. Music is expected for the theme and I left it on as it was soothing & unobtrusive. I usually mute it HOGs are clear. Some need you to find an item to play it. Some are find one item to find the next item etc.. Some are straight forward. Play a mini game to reach your next destination. Find the snowflake in each scene collectable. There are achievements for not skipping mini games. The skip button charges quickly. There is a difficulty button to choose the level of casual or hard. Acquire your bobcat helper which you name. Collect the scrolls for storyline background as you go. I like the storyline. I had a problem not being able to play fast enough to find out what happens next. The hint button recharges quickly. The voice overs are ok, but only a very minor thing & I ignored it. I highly recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

Psych
Play as Shawn and Gus and solve the crime by using Shawn's heightened observational skills and Gus's eccentric expertise!
this game was confusing, slow to change scenes, graphics not cool. 20 frustrating minutes to try to get into a flow which never happened & I quit. Some of the clues were so small I had to use hints to find them. I did not like this game. I do not recommend this game.
A serial killer nicknamed “the Toymaker” is wreaking havoc on a sleepy town. Can the lead detective piece together clues left at the scene and stop him before he sets his sights on her?
This is a simple HOGs semi challenging puzzle game. If you like simple HOGs this is your game. The graphics are ok, clean easy to search. I muted the music as usual. The story line is ok if you like serial murders & solving the crime. As the detective you are challenged to play a "game" with the killer. He leaves clues at the scene. Unlock the clue & receive a video. View the video. For me this game is straight forward. It's kind of cheesy......and not that challenging but, good for an interim game. For an easy, low challenging game I recommend this one. I

I played the trial version & immediately bought the full version when it ended. I left on the music which I usually mute. The graphics are fairy tale excellent. The puzzles & HOGs are very different from a lot of others. Challenging but, in a way that makes you want to do them. You can mute the voices & read or just listen. The storyline is good. Your son has been kidnapped by a dragon. You must save him. Is the dragon good or bad? Why was he taken? How are the elves involved? Can you get to him in time? Dark Parables: Jack & the Sky Kingdom is my fav, but this game is so different that Jack has been replaced. The map is a "take me there" kind. I used the strategy guide a couple of times as well as the hint. There are collectables & achievements. I am about 1/3 of the way through& I don't want to stop. This is a surprisingly GREAT game. Enjoy!
