I really enjoyed this SE. The story was interesting - I was surprised that the time of the demo had flown by. Visual aspects of game were good (and not too dark). I enjoyed that there were rubies to collect during the game to add to your hint count.
The HO scenes were clear but the items were hidden well. Some of the puzzles were challenging.
I did not like that you had to close the dialogue box on the top of the screen before you could take the next action.
Overall I was really happy to find a good solid SE and this goes on my TO BUY list!!!
I stumbled on to this genre a few years ago and became addicted. The music is a good match to the game. It is good to see more diverse games in this genre being released. A definite buy for me. Hope more like this are in the works.......
I have been looking for another go to game in between HOPAs. I like the combination of the HOGs, nonograms and tangrams and other puzzles. It is a fresh mix! I played the demo and immediately bought the game.
An advantage of this game is that the puzzles seemed to be grouped by size so if you want to get a specific level of challenge you can go there or you can do the adventure and follow where it leads. Hoping for more like this.
I played the hour trial. I spread it over a few days so I took the daily exams and the game plotted my improvement (or in some areas demise). One of the tests is name and face recognition which gets progressively harder. This is a different skill set than the regular word and math tests. As with the other tests they were not always what you would expect. You are timed in each test. There were other tests in each category that you unlock as you play more of the game.
The graphics were not exceptional but for this they really do not need to be as it probably would distract you from the task at hand.
The really annoying and distracting thing was the "voice" of the light bulb guide in the game. It sounded like a fly or bee buzzing. If I purchased the game I would need to mute that sound.
If you want to build your brain with different challenges then I would definitely recommend this game.
I played the hour trial. From the first - I was engrossed in the story and the game play. I loved the period graphics and the HOG items fit the period. I didn't see a 20th century item in the 16th century which added to the ambiance of the game! Music was nice and relaxing. The task list was very handy and hints refilled relatively fast. There was no penalty for clicking in the scenes. The mini games were relatively easy. During the play there were unexpected things occurring which kept you on your toes. The only negative was the edges of some of the HOG scenes were blurry and dark. I want to know what happens next so I guess this is going on my "to buy" list....
I played the hour trial. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the challenge of the game. The story was good and graphics beautiful. I found it very fun, engrossing and pleasant to play.
I played the hour trial. I found I really liked the game! I found the story interesting, liked Rhianna's character and liked the puzzles. I liked that you got an "area cleared" note when you had finished it. The HOG scenes were good and not dark. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the newer games but I found it compelling and will put it on my "to buy" list - I want to find out what happens next.....
I played the hour trial. I found many scenes unclear and hard to find the hidden objects. While I tried many things in many rooms, I had to consult the walk through much more that usual. The tasks were very fragmented and if not done in a specific order, it would muck up the flow of the game. I would recommend it for the more advanced game player but at my skill level - I found it frustrating.
I recommend this game!

If you are a trivia fan - you will like this game. However I did find it a little clunky in the playing. It seemed like there should have been a slicker presentation and faster play. The lightening round was fun. The topics and questions were good. I would recommend you giving it a try.
I recommend this game!

Elements
Embark on a scientific adventure using your matching skills to distill and combine the essences of mythic elements.
This is a cross between a puzzle and a match 3. Your challenge is to combine elements from small into large so that there is only one remaining element of that kind on the board. This is trickier than it sounds. The variety of sizes and kinds present you a challenge to think ahead for the fastest most efficient direction to take as the elements combine and morph. I enjoyed it! It took a different kind of skill and though. I liked the tracking of the skill set used. I think it would have good replay value.
It might not be everyone's cup of tea but I would you suggest you try it an see if you enjoy it.
