The Dream Chronicles series was the first serious game I played. I was enchanted by the story and the graphics. Being new I had nothing to judge the difficulty of the game. I found it challenging and could have used more hints or known about Walkthroughs back then. But despite it all I finished the game and all the sequels. If you love fantasy and unique stories, I would highly recommend this game and the series for you!
I purchased it on the Daily Deal expecting an average game and was delightfully surprised by the game quality!! The story is interesting and kept me guessing who did it. The graphics and sound are good. It was challenging enough that I needed to consult the Walk Through in a few places. Based on this game I will check out the other one in the series.
I tried the hour trial as I was anxious to see how the SG integrated into the game. That feature I loved - it was so much easier to work with it embedded in the game. The graphics and atmosphere were very nice. I did not like the combining 2 objects to get a third object. Also the actual story did not grab my interest. So while I won't be buying this one, I will look for DE in the future as I see add added value. But I would recommend giving this one a try, if nothing else but to try out the new SG feature,
I played the hour trial and loved it! The gardening theme was very appealing and I loved the quirky butler! The game has lots to do and various things to hunt for in each scene to help you. It is relaxing to play without having to remember where you were like in some of the more complicated games. One for my "to buy" list. A good gardening "fix" till the snows melt!
I played the hour trial and immediately put this on my "to buy" list. It is bright with pleasing music. I like the variety of levels. My favorite in this genre.
I played the hour demo. Took a bit to get the hang of the searching out the paintings, verifying authenticity, dealing with the gallery owners, auction houses and private dealers. You are basically starting up your own venture business in the art world. So it is more than a hidden object game as you have to manage your money, deal with the bank, negotiate prices and calculate who is interested in what art and calculate how to make a profit and what city has what piece of art. I would imagine the replay value is good as there are so many variables to this game. I enjoyed it once I got the hang of it and will add it to my "To Buy" list!!
I played the hour demo. The game is on my To Buy list!
The visuals are bright and challenging. It took me a few "Jars" to get the hang of the game. From then on it was exciting to see what unusual scene you would play next. I do have to admit that I did not always get the point of a few of the mini-games - but you could skip them. A real shout out to the 60's and being a child thereof - loved it!
I played the hour trial. I found the story very engaging. While the game did not have some of the bells and whistles of the newer games, it held my attention. You searched for FROGS or specific items in the scenes. There were no messy HOG scenes. The graphics were good and not dark. I would like to see more like this. Overall a good solid game I enjoyed playing.
I recommend this game!

The Stroke of Midnight
A romance author has stumbled upon a Victorian-era love triangle, and must reunite the long lost lovers in the afterlife!
The graphics and music are wonderful! The voice overs are very well done. The 3D was interesting. I played the hour trial. While I moved along at a good pace during the game, I found a few things frustrating. When you pick up an object, you can not put it down till you use it correctly. The clicking on an object must be very precise - like a certain position over a number which I had clicked on several times before. It is very linear so if you can't do the task at hand, you have to stop or go to the SG. Maybe I would have liked it more if I owned the game and just went to it when I was in the mood for that type of play.
All that being said, I would recommend the game as it has enough to offer it is worth trying it yourself.
