I am really saddened by the poor reviews for this game! I enjoyed it all the way through. And the bonus game tells us Emma's "origin story." The main game was fun and creepy, with an interesting tale to tell. I like Emma's spunk and strength, and I hope the developers continue her story.
If I had stopped early on as I thought about doing-due to the darker feeling the game had-I would have missed a pretty good game and a cute bonus! The elf helper annoyed me a bit, his big eyes made me think of Gollum from LOTR, a bit creepy. The final challenge in the bonus was hard, which is good. I am also not a fan of mice, even white ones, so I had to ignore that, LOL. Overall, worth it, especially at the sale price.
Very good noir plus occult detective game! Definitely not for children. There is some blood and violence. But the story is very good and I am looked and by golly I hope the next one is out pretty soon!

This game varies from the series-not sure what happened to the detective we played before, no mention of her. We play as the father of a family which has just bought new digs and found them to be haunted by a nasty fellow. We go in and out of portrait worlds, a theme i have seen a bit too often, and try to save the guys hearth and kin. Ina few places, it shines, and it is a shame it didn't get more time, and attention. Bless us all, every one.
The story takes a twist or two, but the player has a hard time understating what is happening-better translation would probably have helped. It felt like a scene got left out that would have helped it make more sense. Otherwise, it is a fun game, although you might want to wait for the SE. The Bonus is a short, separate mystery, which seems to have been an aborted longer game-it too suffers from discontinuity. Bless you and 'have fun while yer livin' for yer a lang tyme dead.'
Not for the faint of heart types or small children! Some cam[y fun horror moments. I must say that Poe's great detective is too prone to state the obvious, and there is a lot of repetition in the messages and dialogue. I have liked most of this series, and if they get one person to actually read some Poe, who is one of the best American authors ever, then they have done a great thing. Bless you all! Peace.
Very nice! Definitely the best release in a while...interesting story that keeps you involved, lovely graphics, good puzzles without too much repetition. I hope we get these characters and this quality again! Worth every penny of the cost, and should win a 2016 award or two!

Finished this one in one day-did not want to stop! Good story, lovely graphics, great tr\wist for the bonus story.
This is the second in a series which begins with Lost Lands: Dark Overlord. Our hero, Suzanne, who is now a legend in the Lost Lands, returns to save the day again. She is accompanied through a good bit of the adventure by a dwarf who is neither annoying nor overly cute! The only voice-over I did not like was the centaur, and it was okay. Again, the art is beautiful! I found myself saying "wow" out loud several times, either because the action brought something totally unexpected, or because of the beauty of the places in the fantasy world. I hope I get to talk to the Ontus in a future game! Other developers need to play these and feel sheepish for releasing incomplete sloppy games and use these as the bar to aim for.
I had missed these gems somehow until the 3rd in the series came out this week-I decided to play them as a trilogy, and I am so glad I did! Five-BN games has put a lot of effort and thought into these-they have created a whole world with a history and cohesive storyline! The controls are set so they can be customized as you like. The graphics are really beautiful. The story is interesting and keeps your attention. I can't praise the game enough!
