I became so bored playing this game that it took me a whole day to finish playing the demo! For the first half of the demo, I spent the entire time running back and forth between scenes one and two, solving simplistic puzzles that apparently couldn't be solved by Dr. Zoey Right, one of H.E.L.P's best archaeologists! Once again Sam was just standing there, doing absolutely nothing, until once again, something happens to Sam. He is supposed to be the top dog at the agency but for the life of me, I can't understand why he got promoted a few games back because he gets foiled by the bad guy every time!?? If he doesn't get foiled, he gets hurt and becomes MIA. I was also completely surprised that the demo wrapped-up most of the storyline and revealed key features that would have made the plot more epic, had they not (you'll know what I mean when you get there)
Once again, the CE bling consists of 36 Collectible Rune Symbols, one in each scene. Once again, the signs are large and in charge, even if you forget to look for them, you won't miss them because they stick out like a sore thumb. In their defense, it's a bit hard to hide a Mayan Rune symbol in a modern day junkyard scene or classic diner, but on the other hand, they could have used a little creativity and pulled it off. The CE bling also includes a Morphing Object, yet, this dev has already abandoned the Morphs in each scene that they surprised us with, and once again, only included them within the HOS. Fellow Gran is spot on with the assessment that this game is a giant logic fail in every aspect, so I'll just leave that department to her, other than to say I always enjoy the humorous sarcasm.
The Hidden Object Scenes are better than the mini-games in my opinion, and I really enjoyed the Progressive, Interactive HOP inside the toy shop. It was one of the most innovative HO's I've ever seen created by this particular dev and was somewhat challenging with out of the box thinking required. There are several Keyword find types, as well as Silhouetted Shaped item finds, and in this CE version, each HOS has a Morphing Object to find
The Mini-Games are a bit scarce and not all that impressive, the HOS definitely outshined the puzzles on this game, which is something I rarely say nowadays. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Click & drag glyphs on the right to the partial glyphs on the left.
2-Move cross-hairs to each incoming ring and hold to navigate.
3-Merge tiles so the combined numbers equal the sum of 10.
4-Select a sequence of moves to navigate w/o getting caught.
5-Align road sections to navigate the car, stopping to get fuel.
6-Select directional arrows to rotate cogs to match the key shape.
2-Move cross-hairs to each incoming ring and hold to navigate.

I don't recommend this game.
Using the artifact of life, the gods created wonderful gardens in Egyptian land. Use your match 3 skills to make the gardens thrive one again!

The Cradle series is my all-time favorite Match 3 series and this game is really quite challenging as it progresses. You can play in Easy, Medium or Hard modes, and the goal of each level is to clear all of the colored cells by making at least one match over them, and sometimes 2-3 matches are required. You can earn up to 3 Stars per level, but you'll need to keep an eye on the star meter (which goes by the amount of time it takes you to meet the level goals unless playing on untimed mode) because you cannot replay any of the levels once completed, however, you can select the pause button to replay the level if you see that you have lost a star and want to try again to earn all 3.
There are lots of obstacles such as vined and double vined icons, and walls of sand to have to break through. The first several levels seem super easy, but as you progress, the board layouts become more narrow, similar to the cradle series boards and getting available matches becomes more scarce.
Larger matches will give you bonus power-ups on the board such as a mudball, water sphere or typhoon that will destroy tiles adjacent to them. As you progress, Spells and Power-ups are added to use whenever you want to use them, but they will need to be recharged before they can be used again.
After each Match 3 level, you will choose a Lotus that reveals points or bonuses, and you can buy items as well, but each item requires certain criteria to be met such as points, supplies, star rating's and even certain achievements to be met. There are also mini-games available such as a Hidden Object Scene, restoring torn fragments, or making matches of 2 identical patterned scarabs. This is a really fun Match 3 game, you should give it a try, enjoy!

Life may be on fast-forward at times, but at Hotel Victory life is on Rewind. Take a step back in time, to the good old days, and the good old HOG days of the earlier style of Mystery Case Files games, back when you were just a newly appointed Master Detective working for the Queen. Back to the days of Blackpool!
You need to make a major decision right from the get-go when you decide which difficulty mode you want to play in because there's no option to change it unless you start with a new profile! (but that's how it was in the beginning) You can play in a Relaxed mode, a Master Detective mode or a Custom mode. In the custom mode, you must make several choices that may seem confusing. You can set the Level Timer, Hint Recharge Time, Hint Charges (how many x's 1-5) Hint Time Penalty (10-60) and the Skip Time Penalty (10-120) I would suggest you play the first chapter on Easy mode to see if the game would be too difficult for you if it were on a Timed mode because you only get 20-30 minutes to solve each Case or Chapter, and that includes everything (HOGS, Door Super Games, Puzzles) There are 11 different chapters or "Cases"
The Hidden Object Scenes are really fantastic! That's right, I actually said the HOG's were fantastic and if you've read my reviews, I don't favor most HOP's lately! They are Interactive List finds with mini-games to solve. Each scene has a Morphing Object to find as well in the CE edition. You will receive Blueprint sections for completing the HOG's and once you complete the blueprint you will complete a Puzzle to make the key to unlocking the next door.
Unlocking the next Door (once you have made the Key) requires you to solve a Super Puzzle. This is the MCF famous Rube Goldberg puzzle where you must interact with the entire scene by fidgeting with several different and bizarre items like toasters, pipes, valves etc. There are 11 Door Super Puzzles and each Door puzzle has a hidden Electric Capacitor to find in the CE version.
The Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, Concept Art pictures, 6 Music Soundtracks, 7 Movie Videos, 36 re-playable HOG's, 11 re-playable Mini-0Games, a Diary (story added after each Case is solved) 13 Achievements to earn, 36 HOP Morphing Objects, 11 Electric Capacitors (within the Super Puzzles) 11 Case Chapters and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy your trip down memory lane!

I love the Grim Tales series and I own all of them, (scroll down for series order) but this game was rather boring and way too easy. It has all the staple features Elephant can't seem to resist, magic oil that removes decades of rust instantly, instant ink revealer, missing clock hands, items in a sewer drain, cobwebs, tarps over a trailer. Have they run out of new ideas or do they just recycle the same scenes? Because they insist on using the same obvious tasks, this game can be done in your sleep...while you're dreaming....about an entirely different game!
Daddy Richard has returned and honestly, he's the best part of this game. In case you haven't played any recent Grim Tales games, Daddy Richard is as dead as a doorknob! That doesn't stop him from joining your time-traveling adventure though, because Anna Gray takes Daddy Richard's skull with her wherever she goes, hey who doesn't right?
The Hidden Object Scenes are unimpressive and extremely easy to locate all items quickly. There are Keyword finds, Interactive List finds and Silhouetted Shape finds as well as several smaller zoom zone HOP's.
The Mini-Games are decent but some of them have vague instructions. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

Normally, I'm a huge fan of AM produced games but several shock and awe moments later has me re-thinking my opinion. For starters, this 90-minute demo only took 45 minutes to complete leading me to believe it's a short game. I'm actually okay with this because it's a Standard Edition and could still merit a PCC at the very least, but still...
Moving on to the graphics, or lack thereof. The characters are fairly well drawn, the close-ups of the horse were excellent, the rest of the graphics are dull, hazy, colorless and at times cartoonish looking with no detail whatsoever, but the weirdest part was that some scenes had a mixture of both really good graphics and horrible graphics, but still...
The characters voiceovers were decent for the adults, but the child's voiceover was obviously that of an adult trying to sound like a child, and it was annoying, grating and painful to listen to. The music would play through the track and abruptly stop leaving nothing but awkward silence until the next track picked up.
The Mini-Games are all basically the same repetitious scenario over and over because you use Magic Scroll Gadgets for just about everything you do, and every scroll you use requires a simplistic "connect the dots" mini-game. When I say connect the dots, I mean 3-6 dots, I suppose if you don't know Roman Numerals this could be considered challenging? When I say you use scrolls for just about everything you do, I mean a Water Scroll, a Strength Scroll, a Fire Scroll, a Lightning Scroll, a Spark Scroll and a Pulling Scroll, and that's just in the 45-minute demo!
The Hidden Object Scenes are all Interactive List finds and not in the least bit exciting. There are also a few other simplistic HO's variations such as finding 12 gears or clicking on two items per book page that are shown as a sketch, but each page only has 3 or 4 items pictured, how can you NOT find them?
Lastly, the storyline. You've played it before a million times, if you play this game, it will make it a million and one. Two kingdoms, one called the White Kingdom, the other the Black Kingdom. Mom chases the bad guy through hills and dales to find her son. Mom does a million favors, whips up brews, sews clothing, solves puzzles and still is only steps away from the bad guy who is walking at a leisurely pace!
If this had been a Collector's Edition, I would have given it 1 or 2 stars, but it's not, and although it's not a fantastic game, it's still probably worthy of a PCC or sale price.
The fate of the realm depends on your ability to reunite the five races and remind them of their vows!

War raged for an eternity throughout the 5 Realms between the Elves, Goblins, Dwarves, Halflings, and Humans until a Druid appeared to introduce a Peacekeeping Guild. The Sacred Truce was signed and honored by all 5 realms, until now. The Elf King has been attacked and the elves are blaming Humans. As Peacekeeper, you have an almost impossible task at hand, find the responsible party, bring them to justice, and reunite the 5 Realms once more. There's just one small problem, the Elves are evoking their own form of vigilante justice upon the Humans of Saddletown!
I would probably have given this game 5 stars if it wasn't for the "Spells" and the repetitive game that goes along with creating the spell. I've never been a fan of the recipe type games unless you actually have to figure out what goes where and when (vs following a pictured diagram) There are a total of 5 Spells you'll make potions for before using them. (Shield Spell, Sleep Spell, Frost Spell, Unveil Spell and Transformation Spell) most of which are introduced in the first chapter.
The Hidden Object Scenes are decent and located in fairly interesting locations. The objects are easily identified and one object within each scene Morphs (you must click on the morph when it's in the correct form) There are Interactive List Finds, Multiple Item Finds, and Fragmented Picture Finds. You can opt to play a Monaco Card Game where you match cards with identical symbols that are adjacent.
The Mini-Games are just okay puzzles, in my opinion, there's nothing really exciting or new offered. I've never been a fan of Recipe-based puzzles, and the Rune-Spell collection & recipe feature is pointless (you simply can't make a mistake and it doesn't require any skill to complete) Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

The USS Liberty has pulled into the Big Fish port once again, a cruise you really should board. There's just something about the Vacation Adventure games that have you scrambling to hit the buy now button, and I truly look forward to them. Just like the previous Vacation Adventures, this is purely a HOG with Puzzles and Mini-Games available between each Hidden Object Scene. There are no voiceovers, so you'll have to read dialog boxes if you want to follow the storyline, which is more of a what's next then a plot. Sounds old school, and you're right, but it's a really good old school HOG!
You can choose either Casual or Challenge modes (faster vs. slower hint and puzzle skip recharge) as well as which gender of cruise director you want. The best part about this game is that it's relaxing, there's no timer so you have all the time in the world, and some of the items to find are tiny and very well blended, so it's a good thing there are no time restraints!
Each scene has Lost items that need to be found, the portal on the bottom left will show these items one at a time as silhouetted shapes and when all have been found the portal will close. Each scene also has recyclable items that need to be found such as paper bags, cans, and bottles, when all recyclable items have been found the lid will close. You earn coins as you play and the coins can be used to purchase 16 different Souvenirs, but this feature doesn't really float my boat.
The items to find are list finds, items in red are hidden in or behind something, items in blue are tasks to complete such as finding and dragging batteries to the smoke detector. There are 18 trophies to earn and you will earn a bronze star if you find all items, a silver star if you find all lost items OR all recyclable items and a gold star when you find all lost items AND recyclable items. You will also receive an eagle eye bonus if you don't use the hint. There is a Mega Hint feature that will briefly show you the location of all available items on the list.
After each HOG you will get to solve a puzzle or mini-game such as rotating puzzle tiles to complete a picture, Match 2 identical items by flipping over two cards at a time, Spot the Difference between two almost identical pictures, finding cruise related words in a word search, or putting together a jigsaw type puzzle of the ship's layout. Believe it or not, the CE version of The Lost Queen game didn't receive a single 5-star rating, a dishonor I don't recall being bestowed upon any HOPA new release! I did buy this game in the CE version due to a lack of other choices during a BOGO sale, (hey it was basically free) and I did finish the main game today. Honestly, the storyline was undisguisable from just about any other "princess" themed game, and certainly no different than all the other Spirits of Mystery games, it even has a similar title to the last game offered, Last vs Lost! In the beginning, this series was pretty decent, but the princess plot has been beaten to death and this particular dev either doesn't read our reviews or doesn't care that their game didn't earn a single 5-star rating?
I will give them credit on the Morphing Paw Prints available in the CE version, they morph very slowly which make them more challenging to spot. On the other hand, I missed finding 1 Lamp and 1 Morph only to discover that I couldn't go back to pick them up without re-playing the entire game, and that just ain't gonna happen. There are 5 Chapters, but in my opinion, they are short chapters. The Bonus Chapter is about twice as long as the average main chapters are, and you play the part of the Prince this time. There are no collectibles or morphing objects available in the Bonus Chapter, but honestly, I didn't finish the BC because I was way too bored at this point. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either, is right for you:
The devs must have run out of Blood Moon ideas because this time it's a Green Moon that causes the Forest Creatures to leave the comforts of the Dark Forest, and wreak havoc upon the Kingdom to ruin the wedding plans of the Princess and her fiance, Malgor. Of course there's always a hidden agenda and of course, no one is really who they seem to be. There's nothing about this storyline that's even remotely interesting, and the game's features are as easy as they could possibly be.
Yet another stupid gadget, a magic ring with a stupid and repetitive mini-game where you click when the orbs are inside a huge circle. There are Morphing Paw Prints and Lanterns in the CE version. This game should get an award for the shortest game in history, to me, this is an example of a game slapped together with little care of thought towards the fan-base, there's simply NO excuse for this!
The Hidden Object Scenes are super simplistic and include Interactive List Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds and Multiple Item Finds. There are several smaller HOP's where you must find Multiples of Items within the entire scene, but those items are so large, you simply can't miss them such as 6 Crates.
The Mini-Games are super simplistic and repetitive. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

3-Use directional arrows to avoid obstacles and collect flags.
4-Repeat the sequence of doorknockers.

The library seems like a perfectly harmless place to work, as long as the Book doesn't ask you to open it that is. If just one drop of blood is spilled upon its pages, you will be whisked away to worlds so magnificent, you'll never want to leave. In fact, no one has ever returned, and no one ever will, because Aspir needs their souls. Aspir needs your sister Margaret's soul, but he may not have expected a two-for-one package deal, and he certainly wasn't expecting a fight!
I loved the Labyrinths of the World games that took place within well-known landmarks (Stonehenge, Devil's Tower, Easter Island) because those areas have always had mysterious origins, who built them, why are they here, what are they for, are aliens involved. However, When Worlds Collide, is just another story about an evil sorcerer trying to take over the world, one soul at a time. The graphics are gorgeous though a little too glittery for my tastes, the story is just more of the same ole same ole, and the gameplay, unfortunately, is rather dull and lifeless. It felt like all I did was find a different method to remove one vine after another, find a piece here, put the piece there until I became overwhelmed with boredom. I did purchase the CE version on a 2 for 1 sale and discovered that my suspicions were true, there's just nothing exciting going on after the demo, and it's very predictable.
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with Keywords in Sentence Finds, Interactive List Finds, and Silhouetted Shape Finds. A couple of the HOP's had several items that could match the description, which is unacceptable, especially when one of the achievement goals is to complete an HOP w/o making a mistake. There are also smaller Zoom Zone HOP's with Multiple Item Finds, and there's an alternate Match 3 game to play if you're not keen on HOP's.
The Mini-Games are available in an Easy or Hard mode, many of which are my least favorite where "one may affect others" because these types of puzzles can be downright frustrating. Luckily, most of the puzzles are easy enough to solve, even on the Hard mode setting. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

Who doesn't love a Creepy Doll comes to life game? I gotta admit, I was super excited because my favorite genre is creepy horror, and everyone knows how things went when Annabelle unleashed her horrorfest! Unfortunately, the ease of the game interfered with the plot. The plot is really good and is somewhat creepy with the dolls taunting whispers, giggles, and mischevious deeds, but EleFun has got to do something about the "loading" screen that occurs after each scene. It causes your mind frame to auto-adjust and it takes away from the intensity of the moment.
As far as the CE Bling, I love the Morphing Objects, Collectible Magazines and Collectible Eyes that give you more insight to the story, however, give me the option to turn off the "hand cursor" that points to them, otherwise, it says "look at me, here I am". It would be good if the Eyes weren't located on pieces of paper in a zoom zone as well, which make it impossible to miss when the zoom zone doesn't close until you click on it. My final complaint is that this is a super easy cookie cutter game. Wouldn't it be nice if a dev came up with different tasks and features? Wouldn't it be really cool if a game had alternate endings depending on the choices you make? Wouldn't it be cool if you had to figure things out instead of just clicking on everything? How about a journal that the player decides what information to add to it and you used clues you found to solve the puzzles rather than the current piece of paper that automatically appears to show you how to solve everything?
The Hidden Object Scenes are bland and uneventful. (btw, on the custom mode you can turn off the HOP penalty that causes the screen to fog with too many misclicks) The very first HOP showed promise because it included puzzles to solve, but afterward, they just fell into the so-so category. Many of them are multi-layered, with Interactive List finds, Keyword finds, Multiple Item finds and Silhouetted Shape finds and there are also several smaller Zoom Zone HO's. There is an alternate Jigsaw Puzzle offered, but once again they have outlines making it difficult to not know where they go. There are a total of 22 HOS throughout the game.
Mini-Games go from super simple, no skill required games to puzzles with some of the worst, most confusing directions I've ever seen. There are a total of 25 Mini-Games offered throughout the game. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Click when the 2 circles overlap.
2-Choose 3 bricks that share 3 out of 5 symbols.
3-Place fuses according to the clue.
4-Connect fuses w/ a continuous line of # specific connections.
5-Find the connection between all symbols & dates.
6-Find the item that matches the silhouetted shape to fight the doll.
7-Choose directional arrows to deflect the dolls attack.
8-Click the bar continuously until the meter fills up.
9-Guess the sequence of lock tumblers.
10-Navigate the tunnels according to the map, finding & using items along the way.
11-Click tumblers to enter the correct code.
12-Click to remove blood cells shown on the right.
13-Place the clues correctly.
14-Choose crest segments and select directional arrows to move them.
