I usually enjoy playing physic's based games, but after about 12 levels or so it just became boring. It's a beautiful game though with beautiful graphics.
Basically, you click on Sunny, the glowing Orb to wake him up. He shines a beam of light through the darkness, and you rotate him around using Mirrors to reflect the beam of light through all 3 Life Source tiles until the beam reaches the Light Source at the end.
Some Mirrors can be rotated, some can't. You will lose a star for each Life Source not collected, but the levels can be replayed. As you progress, creatures will help you solve trickier levels such as Fireflies, and they will recharge if you find one in a level.
Hopefully, if you like this type of physics-based game, you'll endure it longer than I did, but it just became repetitive for my personal tastes.

To pass over Tales of Lagoona because it looks like a child's game would be a travesty because this is a very entertaining HOG, and it's not as easy as you may think. I own both previous games in this series and thoroughly enjoy them, and this game will definitely be added to my list.
This is a quest driven HOG, you must clear debris, and redecorate Poseidon Park. You can accept quests as you progress and the items needed to complete those quests are shown on every HO scene, those items may or may not be on that particular scene.
Each HO scene has a variety of HO types, Fragment Finds, Listed Item Finds, Riddle Descriptions and Silhouetted Shape Finds. Each scene has Gold Coins to collect to allow you to purchase upgrades, Silver Tokens that allow you to play Arcade Mini-Games, Pearls and Gems and if you click on the Rainbow Fish as he swims by, he will find an item for you. There are also side Bonus Goals that are optional, such as finding items in Reverse Alphabetical order.
The Arcade has all kinds of Mini-Games and Puzzles to play at any time with the Arcade Tokens. Here are a few descriptions of the whopping 270 available:
1-Use the clues given on the right to correctly place the items and characters into the correct rooms.
2-Click on two adjacent tiles on the grid that match the tiles shown at the right.
3-Remove the Gold Key halves by drawing lines with no more than 2 corners to remove keys that block its path, within a Limited amount of moves.
You can earn Trophies, Awards, and Achievements galore, and once you unlock all of the HO levels you can unlock the Challenge Mode. There are 37 Wallpapers, a Screensaver, 13 Music Soundtracks, 34 Stat Goals to earn, 31 Achievements, and 53 Trophies included.

The Seer has just had a dire vision about "The Wild Hunt" a vision of Death and Despair. The Hunt is interfering with the rules the gods have set, and the gods are angry. The Shield-Maiden is eager to take on The Hunt, she is prepared to do whatever it takes to defend the Nine Worlds. Stories of the Wild Hunt prophecy have been passed down for generations in The Huntresses Clan, and she has agreed to visit the elders to gather vital knowledge to help them on their quest. The Skald is ready, willing, and able, to play a song??? It's hard to take this game seriously when all these epic visions and battle-ready characters inspire everyone, and then the camera pans to the Skald who's casually strumming a tune and say's "Surely this shall be an event worthy of a song" Seriously?? That's easy for him to say, does he have to walk around with antlers strapped to his back having visions of doom and gloom? Does he have to carry a large wooden shield and defend everyone from Dragons to otherworldly creatures? Does he have to Hunt down prey from wild Boars to Giant Bears? Nope, he's just sitting around waiting to play a stupid song once the battles been fought!
The Hidden Object Scenes are fairly mia in this puzzle-heavy game. The scenes themselves are located in interesting locations, and for the most part, are well done and story related. There are Silhouetted Shape finds, Keywords in Sentence finds and one where you must find the correct faces on several figurines. In the Collector's Edition version, each scene has a Morphing Object to find, and the morphs are slow and well concealed.
The Mini-Games are more abundant than the HOP's in this game. Personally, I found many of them to be far to easy to solve, some of which have lengthy, and/or confusing directions. If you choose to Skip a game, you'll still have to wait and watch a step by step replay of how it's solved. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Select identical buttons in the same horiz/vert/diag line. 2) Use a viewfinder to locate & focus all rock formations. 3) Shoot all sandbags when target crosshairs turn green. 4) Plan correct sequence using attack/defend/heal icons. 5) Match all tokens to remove them. 6) Replicate a sculpture by choosing the correct designs. 7) Drag tokens along tracks to their matching slots. 8) Choose 2 stones that have the correct symbol sections shown.
The Collector's Edition has 8 Wallpapers, 4 Concept Art pictures, 8 Character pictures (split dev/character) 8 Music Soundtracks, 11 Movie Videos, 13 Achievements to earn, a Journal (w/characters) 14 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 29 re-playable Mini-Games, a Bonus Game, 20 Souvenir's to collect in the Souvenir Room, 14 HOP Morphing Objects, 37 Hidden Signs (different signs in each of the World's you visit) 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy!

fromHere's an idea, go back to the drawing board, scrap all of the outdated series and come up with a NEW series, when was the last "new series" oh...Spirits of Mystery 2012?

The devs must have run out of Blood Moon ideas because this time it's a Green Moon that causes the Forest Creatures to leave the comforts of the Dark Forest, and wreak havoc upon the Kingdom to ruin the wedding plans of the Princess and her fiance, Malgor. Of course there's always a hidden agenda and of course, no one is really who they seem to be. There's nothing about this storyline that's even remotely interesting, and the game's features are as easy as they could possibly be. There is no quality or quantity and this game is anything but CE worthy!
Yet another stupid gadget, a magic ring with a stupid and repetitive mini-game where you click when the orbs are inside a huge circle. There are Morphing Paw Prints and Lanterns that are large and easily spotted, not to mention that the lanterns glow! (CE version) This game should get an award for the shortest game in history, to me, this is an example of a game slapped together with little care of thought towards the fan-base, there's simply NO excuse for this!
The Hidden Object Scenes are super simplistic and include Interactive List Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds and Multiple Item Finds. There are several smaller HOP's where you must find Multiples of Items within the entire scene, but those items are so large, you simply can't miss them such as 6 Crates.
The Mini-Games are super simplistic and repetitive. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Rotate disk rings to complete the image. 2-Click when orbs are inside the large center ring. 3-Use directional arrows to avoid obstacles and collect flags. 4-Repeat the sequence of doorknockers. 5-Select matching symbols. 6-Rotate and place picture pieces. 7-Repeat the sequence of snakes.
This Collector's Edition version has 13 Wallpapers, 20 Concept Art pictures, 6 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 10 Movie Videos, 9 re-playable Mini-Games, 9 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 11 Achievements to earn, 14 Collectible Lanterns, 18 Morphing Paws, 3 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide.

At first, this game reminded me of the Cradle series, a Match 3 game I adore, but once I discovered that I couldn't make consecutive matches, it was an instant turn-off. I don't understand why a Match 3 game offers a Timed mode, but won't allow you to quickly make a match until all tiles finish falling!
You choose between an Easy, Normal or Hard difficulty mode, and the object is to make specific matches of a specific number of element tiles, as well as clear all black cells. Matches of 4 or more tiles will earn bonus tiles such as Explosive Fire, Hammers, Lightning and Magic Water which removes pests. If you collect too many resources it will ruin the Runes and you'll have to start again.
Many of the resource tiles look way too similar, you can't tell the difference between an ax and a scythe etc. This Match 3 game could have been quite interesting, but it has too many features I don't want in a Match 3 game. I will say that the graphics are pretty decent.

Didn't we all collectively agree to ix-nay on the gadgets-nay? Well...they're back! Yep that stupid Camera feature has returned to reveal items which cannot be seen by the naked eye, er I'm sorry "supernatural elements" Not only does this camera eagle-eye exactly the same number of items each time, but it's also somehow able to capture incriminating video footage of the bad guy doing his bad guy thing! (hey, everyone needs a hobby right) The bigger question is, why are we searching for the paranormal for free when we could solve every cold-case known to mankind? JFK-I've got that video! Where's Jimmy Hoffa-Who's Jack-the-Ripper-Who's the Zodiac Killer-Did DB Cooper survive the jump-Is Tupac really alive-Who tainted the Tylenol-What really happened on the boat when Natalie Woods died-did a giant meteorite kill the Dinosaurs???....I'm just saying...
The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly Multiple Item Finds such as "find 6 gems" but there are also Related Pair Finds, Sketch Picture Finds, and a Story Related HOP where you are tasked with finding 2 Symbols per Paragraph on a concept art drawing. In the Collector's Edition version, each HOP has a Morphing Object to find, (with the exception of the smaller Zoom Zone HOP's) and you can re-play the HOP's in the extra's section to pick up a morph you may have overlooked.
The Mini Games are extremely easy, one of the tile swap games was solved by simply making one swap! I prefer puzzles that you have to tinker with such as adjusting levels, setting dials etc, but all of these games seem to be swap type or move along a line type. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter in the demo:
1) Rotate 4 tiles to create the Fright Chasers logo. 2) Move tiles to correct rows according to clue. 3) Select the matching crack shapes to break. 4) Select Harp strings in the correct order according to clue. 5) Drag gem arms to point at their matching color slots. 6) Align 3 slider buttons to the center row. 7) Arrange parts to replicate the clue shown. 8) Rotate 3 discs to allow access to the scroll under them. 9) Play the melody on the piano according to the clue.
The Collector's Edition version has 4 Wallpapers, 5 Concept Art pictures (with before/after slider bar) 10 Music Soundtracks, 12 Achievements to earn (same achievements offered in all MHG's, some available in 3 categories) 19 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, an Ultimate Hidden Object Puzzle, 31 Treasure Hunt items, 11 Collectible Case File Cards (unlock Diary once collection is complete) 30 Hidden Spirals, 30 Scene Morphing Objects, 19 HOP Morphing Objects, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide.

The library seems like a perfectly harmless place to work, as long as the Book doesn't ask you to open it that is. If just one drop of blood is spilled upon its pages, you will be whisked away to worlds so magnificent, you'll never want to leave. In fact, no one has ever returned, and no one ever will, because Aspir needs their souls. Aspir needs your sister Margaret's soul, but he may not have expected a two-for-one package deal, and he certainly wasn't expecting a fight!
I loved the Labyrinths of the World games that took place within well-known landmarks (Stonehenge, Devil's Tower, Easter Island) because those areas have always had mysterious origins, who built them, why are they here, what are they for, are aliens involved. However, When Worlds Collide, was just another story about an evil sorcerer trying to take over the world, one soul at a time. The graphics are gorgeous, the story was just okay, but the gameplay was rather dull and lifeless. It felt like all I did was find a different method to remove one vine after another, find a piece here, put the piece there until I became overwhelmed with boredom. Perhaps things pick up after the demo, but to be honest, I just wanted the demo to end!
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with Keywords in Sentence Finds, Interactive List Finds, and Silhouetted Shape Finds. A couple of the HOP's had several items that could match the description, which is unacceptable, especially when one of the achievement goals is to complete an HOP w/o making a mistake. There are also smaller Zoom Zone HOP's with Multiple Item Finds, and there's an alternate Match 3 game to play if you're not keen on HOP's.
The Mini-Games are available in an Easy or Hard mode, many of which are my least favorite where "one may affect others" because these types of puzzles can be downright frustrating. Luckily, most of the puzzles are easy enough to solve, even on the Hard mode setting. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Swap adjacent disks to complete the pattern. 2-Find 3 symbols shown for each paragraph on the story. 3-Create a path for the skulls by swapping and rotating tiles. 4-Slide tiles until the cogs align in the center of the board. 5-Rotate the clock's hands until no gaps remain. 6-Rotate the disks to complete the picture. 7-Arrange arrows to allow a path through all cells. 8-Move the coin to the bottom right by rotating disks.
This Collector's Edition version has 22 Wallpapers, 20 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 32 Movie Videos, 22 re-playable Mini-Games, 19 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 33 Achievements to earn, 14 missing Aspir's Diary pages (because I have a thing about holding onto paper) 15 collectible Statuettes, 66 collectible Crystals (to purchase 17 items for your room?) 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter.

I was disappointed in this 5th edition of New Yankee in King Arthur's Court because other than different layouts, there's really nothing different about this game. The graphics aren't stellar, the storyline is weak, and the one feature that sets this game apart from all the other Time Management games, is the excellent sense of humor, but this one just isn't that funny :( You can play in a Relaxed, Normal or Expert mode, (Expert wasn't available previously) and earn a Gold, Silver or Bronze Trophy, and any level can be replayed.
There are the usual Time Management tasks, of clearing paths, harvesting food, cutting down trees, repairing bridges, and gathering other resources. Mana is gathered to allow Mary to cast spells, which give you Faster Workers, Faster growing Crops, and instant Tree regrowth etc. Buildings of various types must be constructed, such as Sawmills and Foundry's, and as you progress, other buildings become available to help you replenish various resources faster, depending on the level goals.
Those dreaded Zombie Skeleton's have returned, (& in level 2 at that!) and if you don't pay attention, they can easily mess up your strategic plans. As soon as they are spotted, you'll need to click on them, which sends John to destroy them in his tight, but shining armor. If you aren't quick enough, workers will get scared off, and all of the queued tasks you had selected previously, will have to be re-clicked, once John has won the battle, and cleared the way.
I've never been a fan of the Collector's Edition version for a TM game. I personally don't see a need for a Strategy Guide, (although, I would love to see some sort of Hint feature added, to use when I'm not sure what I should do next, on occasion) and I could care less about most of the CE extras offered, such as, Wallpapers and Music. I did, however, enjoy finding the hidden Puzzle Piece in most of the levels, which allows you to assemble a Jigsaw Puzzle in the Collector's Edition version, but that's not a feature I'm willing to pay twice as much for! I'm still a fan of this series though, I just hope they don't forget the humor that made me a fan, in the next edition.
The Collector's Edition version has 30 Achievements to earn, 26 Movie Cutscenes, 10 Music Soundtracks, 6 Wallpapers, 32 Collectible Puzzle Pieces to assemble a Jigsaw Puzzle, 50 Levels + 15 Bonus Levels and a Strategy Guide.

The third time is NOT a charm for this devs games, especially when they don't bother to change anything, again! They just keep offering this same kind of Matching type of Solitaire, which to me, this is nothing more than a Mahjong game with cards instead of tiles. To make matters worse, there is nothing different this game offers than the last Solitaire Beach Season, except the spelling! There's just nothing special going on here folks, it's boring!
You can choose from 9 Tropical themed card decks and 3 different types of face card fonts, and you have no choice but to start the game with a tutorial (at that point you can click on the X to skip the tutorial) Newbie mode allows you to replay any of the 10 levels in a deck as often as you'd like, and Professional mode only allows you to replay the entire 10 level deck. In the case of a perfect score, the points of the current level will be added to the points of the next level similar to bowling.
There aren't many other features, there is an Undo icon, a Mulligan icon and an icon that holds your Jokers at the bottom of the screen. These icons, however, will have to be purchased with the points you earn playing the game unless of course, you uncover special Bonus cards with a star on them. Cards with stars have bonus +499 Coins, a Mulligan's (undo) or a Joker (wildcards) or a Shuffle (shuffles the cards and re-deals new ones) The goal of each level is to remove the Gold cards from the board which will give you the maximum amount of points, even if other cards remain on the board.
I hate that I can't play until I remove all of the cards from the board. This is just another boring, mahjong-bowling type solitaire game that is exactly the same as any other solitaire game by this dev. I just can't give kudos to a dev that never bothers to change any feature or add features that we ask for time and time again!

War raged for an eternity throughout the 5 Realms between the Elves, Goblins, Dwarves, Halflings, and Humans until a Druid appeared to introduce a Peacekeeping Guild. The Sacred Truce was signed and honored by all 5 realms, until now. The Elf King has been attacked and the elves are blaming Humans. As Peacekeeper, you have an almost impossible task at hand, find the responsible party, bring them to justice, and reunite the 5 Realms once more. There's just one small problem, the Elves are evoking their own form of vigilante justice upon the Humans of Saddletown!
I would probably have given this game 5 stars if it wasn't for the "Spells" and the repetitive game that goes along with creating the spell. I've never been a fan of the recipe type games unless you actually have to figure out what goes where and when (vs following a pictured diagram) There are a total of 5 Spells you'll make potions for before using them. (Shield Spell, Sleep Spell, Frost Spell, Unveil Spell and Transformation Spell) most of which are introduced in the first chapter.
The Hidden Object Scenes are decent and located in fairly interesting locations. The objects are easily identified and one object within each scene Morphs (you must click on the morph when it's in the correct form) There are Interactive List Finds, Multiple Item Finds, and Fragmented Picture Finds. You can opt to play a Monaco Card Game where you match cards with identical symbols that are adjacent.
The Mini-Games are just okay puzzles, in my opinion, there's nothing really exciting or new offered. I've never been a fan of Recipe-based puzzles, and the Rune-Spell collection & recipe feature is pointless (you simply can't make a mistake and it doesn't require any skill to complete) There are a total of 31 puzzles throughout the game, and most are re-playable after completing the game (CE feature) Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Spell Kit: click all runes & add the correct potion shown. 2-Click to throw grappling-hook when the target turns green. 3-Choose the correct spots shown as swatches. 4-Follow a pictorial recipe to make a healing potion. 5-Shield-Spell: Drag a line through elements on a Match 3 game. 6-Find and replace 3 items per page during a story. 7-Sleep-Spell: Stop the targets when they are in the center. 8-Find & place elements into the scene correctly.
This Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 25 Mini-Games, 17 Hidden Object Scenes (Chapters 1-4) 6 Mini-Games and 6 Hidden Object Scenes within the Bonus Chapter, 24 Achievements to earn, 15 Collectible Dragon Eggs, 20 Collectible Coins (4 Wheat Coins, 4 Bow & Arrow Coins, 4 Diamond Coins, 4 Gear Coins, & 4 Fish Coins) 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy!
