I had a galactic blast playing this tetris style game. If you are unfortunately old enough to have spent hours in front of the television playing Tetris when Nintendo first released it, then this game is going to blow your mind! Instead of placing falling tetris shaped pieces to keep the column from reaching the top, you are tasked with grabbing the tetris "cargo packages" off of a conveyor belt, and fitting them into the cargo spaceships. You can even speed up or slow down the conveyor belt, and if you pick up the wrong piece just drop the piece into space and move on.
This works just like tetris, left click to pick up the piece and right click to drop it. You can play against the timer or play Casual Mode where you have all the time in the world, but at least in the demo, you seem to have plenty of time to fill the cargo ship. If you place identical colored pieces next to each other you will earn bonus points, doing it quickly gives you even more points.
If you are able to fill a compartment with all of the same colors you will receive a Compartment bonus, if you fill the compartment without any holes you receive a Perfection bonus. Quests are given to you occasionally, to incorporate special cargo pieces into the compartments, which will give you a Special Quest bonus points. If you have time remaining, you can launch the ship and have a new one arrive to keep earning points or you can just go to the next level, but I liked seeing how full I could get the second ship filled which so far has been only 52%!
You earn Tokens for completing each quest to purchase power-ups to help you win the harder levels. My favorite is the Fill Single which fills in those pesky one hole spaces that get you all the time because there are no small single square pieces. You can also purchase a Profit Multiplier to earn more money and Add Time to the meter. Each Power-up is a one and done, so you can buy as many of each bonus as want ar can afford, enjoy my fellow tetris geeks!
I recommend this game!

I have a problem with this game on so many levels. First of all it's a no frills griddler game with only one color, combat green. The pictures your finished puzzle make are basic and most I couldn't even begin to guess at what it was supposed to be. Speaking of guessing, these are supposed to be puzzles that are solved using logic, however, with these puzzles you are forced to either guess at which tiles to fill in or cross off (which is taboo in the griddler world) OR you have to use one if not several Hints, that's not logical, and it's certainly not "tougher than it looks" to be forced to do one or the other. When I solve a griddler game, I want a challenge, but I don't want to be forced to use a hint because every row and column has 10 empty cells that I have to guess where a single filled in tile goes with no other possible choice. How is that logic? Bah Humbug!
I don't recommend this game.

It all started when Santa and his brother were young boys. Santa was a kind boy, an obedient boy, a good boy, but his brother Varyk wasn't any of those things, he was naughty! They both went their separate ways, Santa of course, made his home at the north pole, befriending Elves and caring for his herd of Reindeer. Together he and Mrs. Claus worked diligently to deliver presents to all the good boys and girls of the world. We know this story all so well, but we didn't know that Santa's brother Varyk tried to destroy everything that Santa and the elves worked so hard to achieve. Santa had no choice but to imprison his own brother for the greater good. None of the elves including Tinsel, knew Santa had a brother, until today!
Either this game was glitchy, or my computer has too many unfinished games loaded on it, because it took forever to load when I went into a zoom zone or switched between scenes. That doesn't matter because I love this game, it is 10 times better than the Christmas Story game released at the first of the month. The story is imaginative, the graphics are beautiful and the characters are loveable. (except for the elves with the black eyes!) There is so much going on in every location that you hardly know where to look first because you want to take it all in. I loved the part where you have a conversation with the gingerbread man, and nobody ate his gumdrop buttons either! Tinsel is Santa's right hand elf, and he's determined to save Christmas no matter what the cost. Only an elf can wield the powers of the Magic Star, so Tinsel uses the Star to dispel the evil that Varyk has caused. (of course you get to play a Match 3 type mini game each time) This Collector's Edition has the usual Achievements to earn, and there are Morphing Jigsaw Puzzle pieces that allow you to assemble 4 different Jigsaw Puzzles once you have found all the morphing pieces. There are also Collectible Crystal Bulbs that are needed to open up all 10 Christmas Gifts.
The Hidden Object Scenes are offered in most of the typical HO styles. Most require you to find 5 items to open up the inventory lists, to expose Interactive List finds, Multiple item finds, and Keywords in a story finds. Every HOP is theme appropriate with reindeer, snowmen, Santa's, presents and even candy canes, and I found them to be delightful.
The Mini Games are also Christmas themed, they tend to be on the easy breezy side, but this game is intended to be played by the entire family. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Swap books to create a picture on the book spines.
2) Find matching pairs of presents.
3) Connect like colored wheels by dragging a line from one wheel to the other without crossing lines.
4) Magic Star Match 3 game, this game is played each time the star is used. You click and drag lines to connect as many identical colored gifts as possible, to fill the star. Large matches will give you a star that will earn you extra points when included in the match
5) Rotate pipes so the mouse can complete the maze from one end to the other.
6) Interact with a game board by moving the figurines to the correct spots on the board to match the storyline.
7) Rotate lines on a 3d type puzzle until a picture is formed.
This Collector's Edition has 14 Developer's Diary pictures, 15 Concept Art pictures, 8 Wallpapers, 10 Collectible Crystal Bulbs which are needed to open up presents, 40 Morphing Jigsaw Puzzle pieces, 4 Jigsaw Puzzles, 4 Music Soundtracks, 7 replayable levels of Match 3 games, 19 Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy!
.
I recommend this game!

The Christmas themed games are starting to roll out now, and getting to play two different types of Mosaic puzzles in one day is a puzzle geek's dream come true. I love this kind of game where you are given about 8 puzzle fragments at any given time, and you must place them correctly while the clock is ticking. Don't worry though, this game has a Relaxed mode, and it's just as much fun when you're not racing against the clock. I remember when these games were first introduced, they didn't have a relaxed mode, and sometimes when it's a hustle and bustle kind of day, so it's nice to just kick back and relax now and then!
There are 6 Different locations and each location has 20 different puzzles to complete. You must make the required amount of points to unlock the next location, and you earn coins for the correctly placed pieces. You will earn 1 star (which are actually keys) if you fully assemble the puzzle, a second star if you make no mistakes, and a third star if you complete the puzzle within the allotted time. If you are playing in the Relaxed mode, you will automatically earn the third star. I like both modes, but I wish there was still a timer on the relaxed mode that shows how long the puzzle takes you to complete, and what time frame that particular puzzle would be if you weren't playing in the relaxed mode. That would be a super cool feature to add, and I'm sure other Mosaic fans would agree with me. ( hint hint devs :)
You can use the hint feature, and you can add 30 seconds to the clock with the coins you earn. As the timer starts to get close to the end, you will get a 30 second warning so to speak. If you are a puzzle geek, or have the need for speed, this is an awesome puzzle with beautiful pictures of holiday decorations, featuring treats, decorations, family, presents, snowmen and even Santa himself, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Move over Mr. Penguin! This is by far the most creative Mosaic Griddler game created, surely even the grouchy grinch will love it. This game proves that you can teach an old dog a new trick, and if you put on your thinking cap, changes can be made to set the bar higher.
This Mosaic is all about the story, and all about finding clues to progress through the story just like a detective. You heard me right, the puzzles help progress through the story and the story helps to progress through the puzzles. You will solve a Griddler Mosaic puzzle that give you a clue of a place or item to investigate, for instance, the finished puzzle might be an apple tree, which is the location you will go to next. After solving the mosaic, and reading a paragraph of the progressing story, you will then be taken to that area to "investigate" which usually means finding an inventory item such as a key or a shovel. Sometimes you need to use an inventory item to access a clue or to play a mini game puzzle that can be solved with you clue such as, entering the correct code on a keypad by referring to the clue you found earlier. Sounds intriguing doesn't it? All of this may sound difficult, but in reality it is all fairly easy to navigate and figure out. After that you lather, rinse and repeat by playing another mosaic and so forth.
You start out with 2 lives, with a maximum of 4, in the form of hearts. If you make a mistake, a heart life is removed, too many mistakes will mean you will have to restart the puzzle. There is a hint system that is pretty sweet, you can choose a 1 cell hint, a two cell hint or a 4 cell hint, on each of the three colors, but they must recharge after each use.
I do have complaints however, but this is a new concept so I'll give them time to work out the kinks as they surely release other games like this. For starters, there's only three different colors, no biggie, but they often use colors that are nearly identical with just a shade difference and it's hard to tell where one color stops and the other starts. The background of the grid is opaque and the scenery behind the puzzle sometimes make it difficult to see the cells and sometimes even the filled in cells. When switching between colors and even when the puzzle is complete, it seems to take forever with no way to speed it up. Most importantly, a few times, I had difficulty getting the cells to accept my click to fill it in no matter how many times I clicked the cell. On one of the puzzles, I actually had to use a 1 tile hint fill in otherwise I couldn't finish the puzzle because it wouldn't accept the final filled cell to complete the picture.
This is a fantastic game for griddler fans, puzzle geeks and detective story lovers too. I've got a case to solve now, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Christmas is Snuggford is always Delicious! Paige has just started preschool and everyone's looking forward to her first Christmas Musical. The O'Malley family has so much to do and so little time to do it, especially when the family's winter cafe is bustling with hungry customers. Patrick, Emily and Paige board a train full of Christmas adventure, as they search for the big guy himself, Santa!
The Delicious series has always been one of my favorite Time Management games, I've followed Emily as she falls in love and eventually marries her soul mate Patrick. To my delight, Emily becomes pregnant and nine months later, baby Paige arrives. Every new game in the series presents a whole new adventure as the O'Malley's raise their child and deal with everyday family drama. Some of the characters we meet, end up with a TM series of their very own, Emily's baby sister Angela embarks upon her own fashion career, and Dr. Allison Heart, the pediatrician who treated Paige when she became ill, has her own series as well now. Cathy's Crafts was yet another spinoff, where Emily and Paige make a brief appearance to help out a friend.
The object of this game is to serve the customers their desired food dish as indicated by a thought bubble above their head. To do this you simply click on the food items they desire, (some items require multiple steps, other a single click) You click the customer to serve the food, click the register to collect the money and finally, you click on their table to clean the mess so other customers can sit at the table. If customers wait too long they become impatient and lose their heart scores which means less money earned. Fast service and multi-tasking will earn you even more money. You can click on Carl the mouse when he pops up randomly, for extra money as well. As you progress, different, and more complicated dishes are unlocked.
Every other level offers a Challenge level which allows you to earn Diamonds instead of cash, which can be used to invite family and friend members to Paige's Christmas Carol at her new school. The money earned in the regular levels can be used to purchase items that help keep customers happy and patient, or you can purchase bonuses that make the levels easier such as, a Bell to ring that make the counter customers order faster, or a chocolate bar that make Emily work faster.
I will agree that the graphics aren't as spectacular as the last few Delicious games have had, but I love the Christmas activities and the story that goes along with it, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I love solitaire games, not the Mahjong style, match 2 type, but this Higher/Lower type of solitaire. My current favorite solitaire game is Magic Cards Solitaire and I play it every morning as I wait for the TGT game to finish downloading and installing on my computer. I rated Solitaire Jack Frost: Winter Adventures with 4 stars instead of 5 because I'm really getting tired of playing the solitaire games by this dev who don't ever change anything except the theme. It's the same game with the same features, same music, and the same layouts for the most part.
Earlier this month, Santa's Christmas Solitaire was released and I was confident that it was going to be the same cookie cutter version as all the other one's. To my surprise, it wasn't, and was a delight to play and I bought the game after playing just a couple of levels. If that dev was able to change some of the features, they all can, but they choose to make bank as they release part 1, part 2, part 3, etc. of every holiday imaginable, and all they really have to do is change the title, and the background themes.
If you haven't played any of the other Solitaire games by this dev, then I'm sure you'll enjoy this game. If you have, then you will find this game just the same in just about facet, as all of the previous versions. I hope the sales aren't successful, so the devs get the message loud and clear, and attempt to add a new feature or two. For those of you who haven't played the other Solitaire games, here is the scoop:
1) There are 9 Winter Themed (not Christmas Themed)
card backs to choose from
2) There are 3 different Face Card Themes to choose
from, some of which are large and easy to see.
3) There are 21 Trophies or Achievements to earn.
4) Newbie Mode allows you to replay any level.
5) Professional Mode only allows you to replay the
entire pack, of 10 levels.
6) You only need to remove the Gold cards to win,
the maximum amount of points.
7) You can purchase bonuses in the shop with the
coins you earn, a Shuffle feature, an Undo feature
and a Joker feature.
8) Cards that have a Snowflake icon are bonus cards
that award you with either 499 coins, or one of the
above mentioned bonus features.
There is one feature that really annoys me with these games. Whenever you click on a card with the snowflake, the whole screen darkens and tells you what bonus you just collected (usually 499 points) It seems to take forever, and distracts you when you are on a roll making a large combo chain. I know it's just a second or two but it's just a time consuming annoyance for me. As I said before, this is a good solitaire game that lacks new or creative features, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Rainbow Mosaics: Christmas Lights is back, and it's bigger and brighter than ever! There are 120 colorful levels this year, as you decorate the Johnson family's new Christmas tree, after somebody stole all their presents, including their beautiful Christmas tree that the family worked so hard on decorating.
I love the tile choices that are available in RM games. There are 7 different styles to choose from including my favorite, the lego style tiles. The goal of a mosaic game is to fill cells or cross off cells, using the numbered clues on columns and rows. Each filled in number must be separated by at least one empty or crossed off cell. When you complete the grid, the filled in cells will create a Christmas themed picture with images like Christmas presents or Christmas tree ornaments.
Some of the cells contain coins which can be used to decorate the tree, or to purchase upgrades for the Power-up bonuses. There is an Eye that will open up a random right square, a Hammer that will open up any chosen cell, and a Grid power-up that opens a grid formation of your choice without a negative outcome. The amount of cells opened will increase with each upgrade, and each one shows the pattern and amount of area is covered.
You will earn 3 stars if you complete the puzzle without any mistakes. You can earn up to 10 different Achievements, and open up puzzles within a freeplay mode as you progress in the story mode. This one's a definite keeper, that offers up to 6 different colors, Merry Christmas, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

A mother's love knows no boundaries, she will travel to the end of the world, and other world's if necessary to protect her children. When Thomas receives an unusual present for his 11th birthday, his mother Sarah proves she's willing to do anything to keep him safe, even if she has to travel to a planet she's never even heard of, planet Nenshe. Sarah has always known Thomas was a star child, but she never suspected that he would one day return to the stars, and certainly not like this!
Mad Head games has done it again! They have proven that a sequel can be just as brilliant as it's predecessor, and who doesn't like a good alien story, right? In The Collector's Edition version, the HOP's have a Morphing Object to find which is the same feature offered in the first Beyond, but I hate it when I forget to look for the morph because I'm caught up in the moment and there's no way to return if you do forget. Can you imagine how epic this game would be if it were offered in the game scenes themselves. I also found the graphics to be a bit bland, I get that its otherworldly, but the graphics are unappealing, I just hope they improve and perhaps move along to that jungle planet they talked about. I also wish they would have made a better attempt at tying the story to the first Beyond, but perhaps that will be clarified later on as well.
You do have to put up with a sidekick with this game for a couple of chapters, at least, a Robotic Suitcase, he's adorable and reminds me of Number 5 (remember # 5 is alive??) but they could have been a little more creative considering this planet is light years ahead of us in the technology department. The Collector's Edition version also has usual Achievements to earn, and 31 very well blended Rocket Ships to find in every scene, so not much has changed from the original features.
The Hidden Object Scenes have the typical Interactive List finds, but they also have fantastic and futuristic finds as well. One of my favorite HOP's was in a three part series which was a feature I enjoyed throughout the first Beyond. The first scene requires you to locate 3 navigation points by finding the exact galaxies shown. Then you eliminate the dimmest star by taking a section from the inventory bar and placing it onto the correct star to replicate the star shown. Finally you find planets that match the descriptions being told. In this CE, each HOP has a Morphing Object, and an icon to let you know if the Morph has been found which is helpful when you are doing a multi-layered HOP.
The Mini Games are decent, and geared to be mechanical or space themed. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Trace the path shown with a laser pointer to attract the cat.
2) Arrange the books so that the spines form the symbol shown.
3) Multi-layered puzzle where you first place gears so they all make contact. Then you move ink tanks to their colored coded positions by sliding tiles to an empty space. Finally you swap picture fragments to create a ticket image.
4) Rotate the labyrinth using directional arrows to drop the ball into the hole. (I thought I needed that gravity ball?)
5) Rotate the wheels to complete the path from right to left, rotating one wheel may affect others.
6) Find the misplaced items in the scene an place them correctly to hear a story.
The Collector's Edition has 19 replayable Hidden Object Scenes and 1 Bonus HOP, Morphing Objects within the HOP's,Music Soundtracks, Jigsaw Puzzles, 22 Character Biographies, 14 Achievements to earn, 12 Wallpapers, 31 Hidden Rocket Ships, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

The last Mystery Trackers, Train to Hellswich, was a complete disaster, but it appears that the Mystery Trackers train is back on track, just in the nick of time! (how long is a nick of time?) You're going to need a hazmat suit and a gas mask for this investigation detective as you return to the troubled little town of Brightfield where the citizens of this frozen little town, are victims of a biological experiment. All it takes is a single breath of not so fresh air, and within minutes, an amazing biological transformation takes place, turning man into beast. What is the purpose of this cruel experiment? Is it too late to contain this Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde potion?
You can't investigate without a partner by your side, and Elf is the best man, er, dog for the job. He looks super awesome in his custom made hazmat suit, however, the purpose of a hazmat suit is to create an airtight seal to keep the good stuff in and the bad stuff out. The problem with Elf's suit is that his tail isn't covered so let's keep our fingers crossed that poor little Elf doesn't turn into a massive, rabid, Pit Bull. The most important piece of equipment you have on this case, is your Gas Mask, but the filters need to be changed often or you may as well just breath the atmosphere. There is a Gas Mask meter on the left of the screen that indicates when you need to stop investigating, and start looking for a new filter. This is a feature I happen to love because the Gas Mask filters just so happen to be Morphing Objects, but the beauty of this feature is that the Morphing Object doesn't morph until it's time for a new filter! This Collector's Edition version also has Collectible Playing Cards (but I haven't finished the game yet to see what the cards are for, I wanted to write my review because I wanted folks to know that this is a great game in spite of a couple of negative reviews) There are also Collectible Fresco Puzzle Pieces to find, and a variety of Achievements to earn..
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with Interactive List finds, Silhouetted Shape finds and even a scene where you find the correct section in a picture as shown on puzzle tile squares. I will say that I rarely use the hint feature on a HOP, in fact I can usually find the correct objects without looking at the list, but I had to use the hint on both the first HOP and the second because they have done a wonderful job hiding items in plain sight, so bravo my big eared elephant devs.
The Mini Games are a vast improvement over the previous easy breezy games offered in the last several Mystery Tracker games. Some puzzles are still fairly easy, some aren't, but most are entertaining. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Slide tokens along a triangle shaped track until they align with the correct symbols.
2) Drag tiles along the grid to their correct positions.
3) Open the first aid kit by adjusting 3 sliders to complete the image on the token.
4) Move the red ball along the tracks traversing every line just once.
5) Match the picture on the large octagon with the images next to them, using the yellow center to rotate and swap the octagons.
6) Connect each square to one or more squares with one or two lines. Select gaps between squares to add or remove lines which cannot cross.
7) Enter the code according to the clue shown.
This Collector's Edition has 8 Concept Art pictures, 8 Wallpapers, a Secret Room which is secret, 32 (to the best of my counting skills) Collectible Fresco Puzzle Pieces, Morphing Gas Mask replacements (this feature can be turned off) 4 Music Soundtracks, 22 Achievements to earn, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter. Give the demo a try and I think you'll agree that this is a much better version of the last few dud Mystery Trackers games, enjoy!
I recommend this game!
