My first thoughts when I started playing this game, was that it was just a sappy love story. Well it kind of is, but it's a really interesting story about a newly married couple with very little money. Jack buys Hope the only house he can afford, a very dilapidated farm house. Hope finds items throughout the house to use in different places to fix up the house while Jack works two jobs to pay the bills. Hope finds ways to make money by growing fruits, vegetables and flowers and all goes well until Jack loses his job and need to find Hope. You find listed hidden objects and then place those items in the correct places by looking throughout the scene to see the image briefly flash, the more you progress, the harder this becomes. Although this isn't a fantastic game, it is delightful so give it a try on a rainy melancholy day, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I just wasted 15 minutes of my life playing this game, and I think I can find my own way home now. The graphics may be hand drawn, but their horrible, cartoonish, tiny and most of the items to find are unrecognizable because of the poor graphics. This is a Hidden Object game with listed item finds as well as interactive finds where you find one item and use that item in the scene to help locate the next item, simple and not even remotely close to fun. The Mini Games are Spot the difference or place photos in the correct logical order. There are Achievements to earn and REO Speedwagon music to unlock. Just awful, don't waste your time.
I don't recommend this game.

Time to wake up Carol, it's your sweet sixteenth birthday! That horrible dream you had last night about an evil orphan was just the beginning of your nightmare. Allie's real, Allie's creepy, Allie's evil, and she has done something awful with all the grown ups of Rocksburg! Aren't you glad it's not your eighteenth birthday Carol Evans?
Surface has done it again folks, and something tells me that Alone in the Mist has just scratched the surface of what's to come! After playing both editions, I have to urge you to spend a wee bit more on the Collector's Edition which have collectible Red and White Flowers in each scene. Each flower you collect helps to unlock Characters in the Secret Room, AND each Character will have a special favor to ask of you which sounds kinda creepy yet intriguing. (I'll have to think long and hard when it's Allie's turn) the CE also has Achievements to earn. Both editions have Plus Signs on some of the inventory items indicating the need for further interaction before the item can be used such as combining that item with another inventory item.
The Hidden Object Scenes are a mixture of Listed items, Silhouetted Shape finds, and even finding items that match the sentence being spoken on a tape recorder. The Mini Games range from simple puzzles where you click on icons until twin pictures are identical, to more complicated puzzles such as swapping key icons within a group of pictures until all picture images make sense. I really enjoyed the game requiring you to spell out the word POLICE, but you have to figure out the correct order to key in the numbers as they scramble to different locations with each letter entered, and I enjoyed Spot the difference between two monitor screens and matching skeleton keys two at a time.
The Collector's Edition has Achievements, a Secret Room, Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, Screensavers, Collectible Red and White Flowers, Unlockable Characters, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Morgana has finally been defeated, and the dark world of magic must crown a new queen. Unfortunately, the dark magic now possesses Lynn and she is ready to take the throne. Edward must enter the other side and find a way to save Lynn from the dark magic coursing through her veins before she becomes the Queen of Dark magic, never to return!
This episode of Witches' Legacy is played as Edward Watson who is Lynn's husband, I'm not thrilled with that aspect, but it's still one of my favorite series. One of the coolest features this game has to offer besides the wonderful graphics, is that almost everything can be interacted with, especially the magical flowers that put on a fantastic display whenever you click on them, The Imp is back, once Lynn's family dog, now a comical Imp who is ready willing and able to help you at a moments notice. You can click on him as well and watch him ham it up for you with several props he uses to entertain you and himself. You are equipped with a Glass of Truth which lets you see the "real" image of the characters you meet along the way. There are Achievements to earn, Plus Sign inventory items, and 35 Morphing Objects available. There are also 36 Collectible Puzzle pieces that can be pieced together in a jigsaw puzzle that will create 4 different Wallpapers when finished.
The Hidden Object Scenes are interactive list finds, after finding 4 silhouetted shapes to uncover the list. Each item that is found usually reveal fragments that form a picture or necessary inventory item, and you can opt for an alternate Matching game where you flip over two cards at a time to make a match of identical items. There are 29 Mini Games, ranging from simple jigsaws to repeating the sequence of feathers lighting up with a specific color pattern.
This Collector's Edition has 9 Wallpapers, 9 Art Gallery pictures, 3 Screensavers, 6 Soundtracks, Achievements, 36 Jigsaw puzzle Pieces, 35 Morphing Objects, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Linda Miller has escaped from the asylum and still has a burning desire to reassemble that mind controlling movie projector! In the first episode of Final Cut: Death on the Silver Screen we learned that Linda murdered her father Morton and kidnapped her half brother Frederick and used you, her half sister, to find the missing pieces of a governmental experiment Morton had invented, a projector capable of mind control! You tricked Linda, using the projector to drive her mad and she was institutionalized......but she has escaped and is more evil than ever before.
The graphics are so much better in this Final Cut episode, I wasn't a fan of the muddled gold and brown graphics. That magical projector gives us the ability to switch back and forth between Movie reality and real time reality as you switch back and forth finding items in one reality and use them in the other.
The Hidden Object Scenes are still interactive list find, but the scenes are still repeated a second time in the same area. You can switch to a Match 3 game instead. The Mini Games are those clever Morton Wolf inventions such as lining up color wheels to form a particular color code when combined, or swapping circular tiles to complete a picture. My favorite was making a key replica by first using lines to replicate the pattern of the original key, and then using the key machine to make the key from that pattern using two types of arrows and two different heights.
The Collector's Edition has Achievements, Pictures, Puzzles, Music, replayable HOP's and Puzzles, Movies, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Twenty years ago, your father invented a device for the government, a movie projector that can control people's mind. The legendary film maker was also guilty of an affair with one of his actresses and had a child that the Wolf family knew nothing about. Morton Wolf has been murdered, and your brother has been kidnapped by Linda Miller, your half sister, who is demanding you find all the parts to the projector that Morton hid throughout his mansion. You will have to piece together this dangerous invention if you ever want to see your brother Frederick again!
I love the Final cut series, this first episode is my favorite, however I'm not a fan of the muddled gold and brown graphics that to me is unimpressive. The Collector's Edition has several Collectibles, 10 Secret hidden Cards, 20 hidden House Photography pictures, and even 10 Lights to collect. The Collector's Edition also has Achievements to earn.
The Hidden Object Scenes are interactive list finds that can be difficult because of the muddled graphics, and some of the Hidden Object Scenes are repeated in the same place. The Mini games are usually in the form of intricate locks that Morton has invented. My favorite game involved a lock with colored jewels on three rotating rings that requires you to align the colored jewels so that the jewel holder is the same color as the jewel in the quarter circle. It sounds difficult but there's only one logical combination.
The Collector's Edition has Pictures, replayable Puzzles and HOP's, Bonus HOP's, Music, Movies, Photo Sessions, the Making Of, Achievements, Collectibles, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

In the first episode of Final Cut: Death on the Silver Screen we learned that Morton Wolf was unfaithful to his wife and had an affair with one of his actresses, Barbara Miller. Their affair produced a child, Linda Miller who grew up despising the close knit Wolf family and took out her revenge, murdering her father, Morton Wolf. She kidnapped her half brother Frederick and used you, her half sister, to find the missing pieces of a governmental experiment Morton had invented, a projector capable of mind control! Morton Wolf was perhaps one of the greatest inventors of his time. This movie mogul was guilty of two things, he cheated on his wife, and he invented a movie projector that makes people go stark raving mad! He knew this device was evil, so he took it apart and hid all the pieces around his mansion. Twenty years later, Morton has been murdered and your brother Frederick has been kidnapped by a mad man who demands that you find all pieces of the movie projector if your brother is to live!

Vacation Adventures is back and better than ever with the Round the World cruise. This is purely a HOG with Puzzles and Mini Games available between each Hidden Object Scene. You can choose either Casual or Challenge modes as well as which gender of cruise director you want. Each scene has Lost items that need found, the portal on the bottom left will show these items one at a time as silhouetted shapes, when all have been found the portal will close. Each scene has recyclable items that need to be found such as paper bags, cans, and bottles, when all recyclable items have been found the trash can icon will close its lid. The items to find are list finds, items in red are hidden in or behind something, items in blue are tasks to complete such as returning the captain's hat or picking up laundry and placing it in the hamper. There are trophies to earn and you are scored a bronze star if you find all items, a silver star if you find all lost items OR all recyclable items and a gold star when you find all lost items and recyclable items. You will also receive an eagle eye bonus if you don't use the hint, there is also a Mega Hint system that will briefly show you all available items on the list. After each HOG you will get to solve a puzzle or mini game such as rotating puzzle tiles to complete a picture, Match 2 identical items by flipping over two cards at a time, Spot the Difference between two almost identical pictures, or putting together a jigsaw type puzzle of the ship's layout. The money you earn can be used to purchase souvenirs and view them on your collectible shelf, but I don't really get the point of that feature, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

M.W. Vernon was the best film producer there was in the '40's and '50's. He created a state of the art studio on his own remote island and began production of the studio's first motion picture. This production however wa disastrous, riddled with injuries and even death, the studio was in financial ruin before the move was even finished. Rumors have it that Vernon sunk into a deep depression and became a violent tyrant. Rita Rea was the studio's leading lady, and she has gone missing, her daughter Helena set's sail for the seemingly deserted island to search for her mother. What she finds when she arrives is, well, sheer madness!
The graphics are a little weak, but the storyline more than makes up for it. I also found some of the items to be very touchy requiring you to click on specific spots at times. The Hidden Object Scenes are simple list finds, with many of the items being multiples such as 3 bullets or 3 dominoes. The Mini Games are typical puzzles such as swapping and rotating tiles to complete an image or adjusting mirrors to spell out the initials M and W with the light beam.
This is actually a decent game if you can overlook the older graphics and don't mind an abundance of Hidden Object Puzzles, enjoy!
I recommend this game!
