I can say with faith that I fear this game isn't much fun. The reason is because the graphics are so poor that finding the items becomes frustrating thus no fun. I didn't even finish the demo in all honesty. You are given a single item to find at a time such as a letter, then a robe then a bag etc. Once you find all of those items you play a mini game in which you must fit several items into the bag by placing the items in a grid formation. If the item fits into the space you chose the cells would turn green if it doesn't fit the cells are red and I was surprised by the size of many items such as a wooden spoon (why does he pack a spoon in the first place) the spoon took up two squares deep by several long when it would seem the spoon would only take up a single cell depth. Then you "search" the desk which is a Hidden Object Game. This was really difficult due to the even poorer graphics than the game itself. Finding 4 elements is not easy when you can barely tell what the items are, to make matters worse I kept searching for a rack which turned out to be a brick! I just can't recommend this game, I didn't enjoy this game at all, sorry.
I recommend this game!

I agree with my fellow reviewer, dachsy, this game is very similar to the Cradle Of Rome series, mostly because of the almost identical patterns of the boards. However the Cradle series is one of my all time favorites I have played all of the games in that series hundreds of times (that makes me seem lazy when I put it in writing!) and they are a very entertaining and challenging match 3 games, I just didn't have that same "GOT TO PLAY JUST ONE MORE LEVEL" feeling with this game. There are the usual blocks and goals and other than the rocket booms nothing else seems new in my opinion. The idea of this game is to make matches of three or more to collect resources to build a Roman city and allow the citizens to thrive and prosper (and appease the Gods!) You can earn trophies and if you complete the mini games in time you receive a discount on construction. This isn't a bad match 3 game, but it's a game that you'll either love or hate unfortunately, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I absolutely loved this match 3 game although I will admit it's a really easy game. A calamity has occurred, an evil sorcerer has sucked the magic out of the kingdom leaving the air polluted and as a result the fairies are ill and motionless! The object of each level is to "free" a certain number of fairies by making matches of whatever gems are shown under the bubbles with the trapped fairy. There are 3 different types of matches you can choose at the start of each level. The first is the classic swapping of tiles to make a match of 3 or more. The second method is making a chain of 3 or more by clicking and dragging adjacent tiles. The third method is clicking on groups of 3 or more. The level is completed by making matches over all yellow cells on the board. Each level will have different colored pearls that can be used as bonuses by making matches under the pearls until they fall off the bottom of the board. The white pearl represents the Wind Fairy which will clear a single cell. The red pearl represents the Fire Fairy which replaces all of the objects on the cells with different gems. The purple pearl represents the Lightning Fairy which zaps several random cells at once. The green pearl represents the Clover Fairy which tosses several explosive clovers onto the board. If you match 5 or more purple gems, a bomb will appear on the board and can be used anytime. There will also be the normal blocked tiles such as stone tiles which need several matches or a bonus bomb etc. to clear. If you don't like fantasy themed games, pass on this one because it's all about the bright colors and fluttering fairies, otherwise enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Northern Tales 3 is one of the most entertaining Time Management game out there. I love the different ideas the developers come up with in each game, in this game we are able to hitch a ride on eagles to soar to the top of mountains and gather the resources available there. This game has 3 available modes to choose, Normal, Multi Click, (let's you multi-task Vikings) and No Timer. You also have the option of turning off the characters voices if the repetitiveness bothers you but quite honestly it isn't annoying in my opinion. There are 45 levels in different terrain such as snowy landscapes or volcanic landscape to break up the monotony and a fun fact about Vikings is displayed before each new game. The goal of this TM game is to gather resources needed such as gold or food, and to clear the paths and repair bridges in order to reach other resources. You can rebuild farms to produce food, mines to collect gold or even upgrade the Viking base camp to support more Viking workers. There are specific goals to reach in each level and these goals must be met within a set time in order to achieve all 3 stars, but you can replay the level as many times as you want. Each level has a bonus bar at the bottom and you want to use the bonuses as soon as they are ready, such as Freezing time, Extra Resources, Extra Viking worker (20 seconds) and my favorite, Faster Vikings. The graphics are very well done, the goals aren't frustrating, and there is some strategy that needs to be applied which keeps the game entertaining, enjoy!

Okay, as a fan of Mahjong, even I have to say "how many different names can you call this re-vamped same ole same ole Mahjong"? It's not a bad game, it's just the exact same as the several other Mahjong games that have been released over the last few months. The only advise I can offer is to pick one of these games with a theme you enjoy, this one is a classic asian themed game. There are 6 rooms with aproximately 30 levels total. You can choose from 3 different tiles but honestly all 3 are kind of bland. There are 12 trophies or achievements to earn. The goal is to get 3 stars on each level the first star is is earned for removing all of the gold tiles, the second star is earned for getting a predetermined amount of points, the third star is earned for completing the level in a predetermined amount of moves. Each game has a different set of numbers according to the difficulty of the level. When you remove the silver tiles you will get another shuffle bonus and if you click on the eagle icon the available tiles are lit and the others dimmed. As I said before this game is exactly like the other Mahjong games in every way except the theme, personally I liked the pirate theme and the dragon themed games the best, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Don't let the title fool ya, plenty of dark forces in this game of good vs. evil. As you search for Sophie within the dark and mysterious wall of Unicorn Castle, you will be given Karmic Choices which will affect the outcome of the game at some point. You will get this opportunity as you speak to the spirits of the castle, do you help these restless spirits or shrug your shoulders and tell them you're too busy? You will also get to choose how you react towards scorpions and piranhas, do you take the gentle approach or squash those ugly creatures? (I chose the opposite from CE to see the difference!) Another cool feature this game has is with the hint button, if you use the hint button, you will need to catch a plasma ball when it appears in order to use another hint. The hidden object scenes are interactive list finds, you find a pan of water, put the pan on the burner, find an egg, place the egg into the pan to get a boiled egg! If you randomly click on a HOS, magic ruins will appear that require you to trace the symbol to unlock the scene again. There are a lot of mini games, none of which are difficult such as placing the correct number of wires leading to light bulbs in order to light them up. Sit back and relax, choose a side, good/evil moral/sinful/ right/wrong unicorn/rats and enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Bluebeard had married your sister and she fears that Bluebeard's previous wives are locked in a room she has been forbidden to see (thats an open invitation in my opinion) Now you are searching this mysterious castle for your missing sister, is it too late? I must admit that I played the newest Bluebeard:Son of Heartless first, and enjoyed the game so much that I had to go back to the beginning, and I love this game just as much! There are so many mini games and hidden object games to play, one after another. The hidden object scenes are a mixture of "find 15 hat pins" and hidden list finds. When you click on the listed word such as butterfly, a silhouetted shape of the butterfly you are looking for is displayed on the hint icon, if you click on the hint itself it will show you where this item is hidden. There are a ton of mini games and puzzles, most require you to find all the missing pieces throughout the castle before playing the game. There are simple puzzles like putting mirror fragments together or placing 7 Nymphs into their correct places on a serpent fountain, if you click on the serpents head an outline will appear to help you figure out which Nymph goes where. This is a simple game with a good story and plenty of entertainment, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Concerned for the starving people of the Sky Kingdom, King Henry agrees to a golden deal with a mysterious cloaked man. The King must follow specific guidelines for planting and nurturing this Tree of golden leaves, and in exchange the Queen will pick a Golden apple that will appear in 18 years to give back to this Icy stranger (Don't eat that apple!). Fast forward to present day and rescue a damsel in distress, and fall in love with Adele the most beautiful woman in the Kingdom! Everything is going well until a strange gift arrives at your door, a gift with powerful magic. In an instance Adele is trapped inside this gift, a snow globe of the Sky Kingdom.
What a treat we have with this Dark Strokes edition. There are 12 magical scrolls to collect, 35 hidden snowflakes, Achievements to earn and even 10 Magic objects to find in hidden object games! You will find and name a baby Lynx that will help you as you try to find someone to break the snow globe spell and free Adele (on the plus side she's much more portable that way) You will also find a Slideshow theater and as you come across slides you get bits and pieces of the Kings deal with the devil, it's really an interesting plot that makes you want to hear more! This game is a fantasy themed game, and I think the devs tried hard to reach demographics of both male and female gamers. I never really thought about the fact that most of these games are targeted for women until one of my favorite reviewers stated how excited he was that a recent game was from a male perspective! Now I feel guilty when I love the glitter, unicorns and Prince Charming:) The Hidden Object Scenes start out with finding missing outlined pieces by opening drawers etc. until the item is complete. then we move on to finding several musical instruments. Don't worry, there are still the classic list find objects, some requiring slight interactions such as picking up a key and using the key to open a lock. (don't forget to look for magic or beyond objects) The mini games are pretty easy in my opinion, my favorite game was riding the horse to the Kingdom. It's not a new game by any means but I could have ridden that path all day. The object was to guide the horse by zig zagging through debris on the 3 lane road as the horse moved faster and faster. Another game I enjoyed was throwing snowballs at warlocks that popped up on stage without hitting the Princess who also popped up. I can't think of anything negative with this game it seems they put in the kitchen sink as well, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I cannot believe this game has such poor ratings, it's quite simply the best mixture of hidden objects and puzzles I have ever played! This is a hidden object game about the tragedies Anna Tremblay experiences after publishing a book about her fathers prior involvement with a cult. Good story line but this game is all about the hodge podge mixture of games. I knew it was different right from the beginning when you are tasked with finding listed symbols and then various items whilst being held captive in a cults illusion of captivity. As you found items belonging to Anna's father, the "illusion" of your captivity waned until you were no longer under the cults spell. That's just the beginning, there are objects of importance in some scenes (don't forget to look for them) that shimmer in their environment which will recover any hints that you use. I was so impressed with the variety of HOS, some were just the normal listed items to find within a scene, some hidden objects were written in books and included words, symbols and sketches. The HOS I enjoyed the most was using a lit torch to find several animals and not only was it challenging because of the darkness, but you had to find the animal that was in the same position as the picture, there may be 5 flying bats but the correct pick is the bat with it's wings down not up for example. There were also a ton of mini games or puzzles as well, such as finding the correct animal tracks that match the pictures shown one at a time with 7-8 different tracks being made at the same time. The game I liked the best was one I haven't seen before. The inventory list would give the title of several books in a library scene. You would first choose the category from Science, History, Languages and Mythology, and then search through the bookshelves with a magnifying glass until you found the correct title, and then you had to click on that title. There was another HOS that was similar to that game where you had to find multiple safari animals, 3 elephants 4 giraffes etc. with a camera and click to take a picture of each animal. Don't go by the bad reviews on this game, keep an open mind and give it a try, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Queen Olivia has asked for your help detective, how do you defeat seven deadly sins in flesh and blood? The Rockwood Dynasty has ruled the town of Riddlestone for ages, but the Royal Family isn't impervious to sin either, jealousy, pride and wrath have bestowed the young Prince's souls and Princess Anna has sipped the sweet wine of greed transforming her into a monster! Is there anyway to stop the ugly faces of sin? This is a very professional game with plenty to do in each location. The hidden object games are interactive list finds where you have interactions such as finding a ring and placing the ring into a box. There are a ton of mini games such as painting the royal family portrait, stacking weights to balance scales or matching a similar white tile with a black tile by association pictures like a feather and ink. My favorite mini game was selecting tiles with several arrows pointing in different directions with the goal to pass through all tiles without hitting a dead end or no more moves. I think this Standard Edition is a good value if you don't care about collectibles or achievements, enjoy!
