The Mystery Case Files series has always been a mixture of good and bad; this was one of the bad ones.
Good Parts: Great graphics Nice sound effects/music. 2 modes; normal and relaxed.
OK Parts: Limited hints; but 6 were available, doubling the last game.
Bad Parts: HOS were too hard, had to use my hints on all of them. The door puzzles; they were way too hard, even when I used the clues and calling for back-up took away all my hints. Storyline is nothing special. It's not one that kept me going like Huntsville or Prime Suspects.
I was looking forward to playing a game that was pure Hidden Object, but I will be going back to my other games. This is a no go.
When I read the little snippet of a preview, I had good hopes for this game, but when I finished the demo, I was really disappointed! (based on 35 minutes of the demo)
Good Parts: Good graphics after the intro and for the HOS. Hint and skip had good recharge speeds. I liked the suspect cards. They were one of the best things of the game.
OK Parts: The HOS. They were alright, but a little on the ichallenging side. There was only one level of difficulty. I didnt mind, but would've liked some extra options.
Bad Parts: No voice-overs. Intro graphics were cartoon and cheap. Storyline had great potential, but I was really let down. The storyline was a real bore, with no voice-overs and no intro, all reading. A strategy guide should have been included as sometimes it was hard to figure out what to do. I hated the puzzles,; they were overly complex and really boring. No tutorial. Too many HOS at once. I finished one, walked straight in to another one, and only 2 areas later found another one! I get it's a Hidden Object game and all, but ease up a bit!
Pretty much from the moment I started, I knew this was going to be a terrible game. Not recommended.
What a different game! It was great from the get-go and the demo leaves me wanting more! What will happen to the archeologists?
(based on completed demo)
Good Parts: Loved the story; from the second I started it was great and the demo ends right as the story begins to get good. Great graphics, very 2012. Everything was so clear, and I loved them. I liked the HOS. They were a great challenge and included interactive objects. Hint recharged fast and skip was almost instant. Strategy guide included, also it stays at the page you were last on. Achievements.
OK Parts: There were some times where I found it a little hard to figure out what to do.
Bad Parts: Quite a lot of going back and forth, this really annoyed me. Most of the puzzles I found to be too hard. I had to skip every puzzle except one.
Overall, a rather good game that was one of a kind. A step in the right direction by the develop
Pretty much from the moment I played, I did not enjoy this game. (based on 45 minutes of the demo)
Good Parts: I liked the HOS. They were a great challenge for me, and one of the rare highlights of this game. Great intro. I liked the graphics, very well done and clear.
OK Parts: Hint recharge had different speeds; outside HOS, it was almost instant, but inside HOS, it took a little longer. Once I'd finished the HOS, it confused me because it didn't exit straight out but rather stayed in the HOS area. There was a fair bit of going back and forth. The cutscene graphics were a cartoon, not what I was expecting.
Bad Parts: Weak plot, was very disappointed after the intro. I didn't like the repetitiveness of the creepy guys' voice and in general the storyline failed to impress me. I didn't like the puzzles, they were too hard. There were a little too many HOS for my liking. Maybe they shpuld have decreased 1 or 2. I found it a little hard figuring out what to do for most of the game.
I can see why this game is getting so may reviews. About 10 minutes in to the game, I'd already decided I didn't like it. It's not one that I'd go back to/recommend to others.
I don't recommend this game.

Murder, She Wrote
Help the world-renowned author, Jessica Fletcher, solve murders! Piece together the clues to crack cases in Murder, She Wrote!
This game is nowhere near as good as all the reviews say it is. (based on free trial)
Good Parts: Great graphics Nice voice-overs. Good cutscenes, nice plots for each case Skip recharged fast.
OK Parts: The HOS. It was a little too challenging for me. I constantly needed to use the hint. I was tending to get a little bored with the game.
Bad Parts: There were missing letters in the clues, and you had to find the typewriter keys to get the missing letters. The hint takes too long to recharge. The cases are way, way too long. My 1 hour free trial was up before I'd finished the first case. I hated the puzzles and had to skip every single one.
Overall, this is a flat game, not worth all the hype. I wouldn't recommend it.
The talented journalist, Eva Sanders, witnesses strange events while working on a story and soon finds herself implicated in the most incredible plot of the millennium!
This game was actually much, much better than all the reviews said, but then I got stuck and could not find a walkthrough so I quit.
Good Parts: Great graphics, really enjoyed them. Everything was clear. Great HOS, Not many objects to find, weren't too hard and just enjoyed them. Hint recharges fast. No click penalty No puzzles! :D finally, there is an all HOG Game.
OK Parts: I had a lot of fun with the game untill I got stuck.
Bad Parts: The game really, really needs a strategy guide. I got stuck, and I was using the hint and it ket telling me "look in another place" and I went to all 3 available places and it kept telling me the same thing! Storyline has potential, but is in comic strip and no voice-overs, so I found myself skipping the entire thing.
This game was actually alright. I would recommend it as long as you can get past the "Miss World" stage.
After seeing this game around for a long time, I finally decided to have a crack at it, and I'm sorry I wasted my time! (based on 40 minutes free trial#
Good Parts: Really good graphics. Clear, modern and really good designs. Chilling, ominus music suited the game perfectly. I liked the HOS. They were a really good challenge for me, and tested me quite a number of times. Cute little warning at the beginning of the game. I liked the "Emily flashbacks" which you received after finding one of Emily's things. Skip recharged quickly. I liked the tasks, and the step by step instructions to complete them.
OK Parts: I liked the idea of the storyline, but there were no voice-overs, not even in the intro. Voice-overs would have made the storyline a lot more effective.
Bad Parts: Hint takes forever to recharge, and I needed to use it a lot. It was so hard to figure out what to do, there really should have been a strategy guide. I hated the puzzles. They were all so hard and a complete waste of time. I didn't like the "health meter" and the way you had to fill it up by finding "health packs." This took a lot of time and really was a poor adition to the game, plus, activities drained the health metre. I disliked how the only use for some places was to get a health pack #e.g. the locked door of the truck#
This game let me down in more ways than one. It had so much potential and I'm really disappointed by it.
I had high hopes for this game, but pretty much from the moment I started I knew it was going to be a bad one.
Good Parts: The HOS were good. A great challenge and there is some variety in them. Include interactive and "build the object" objects. Also, there are some scenes that say; "Find all the ____ here." These were my favourite scenes. Pretty good graphics, although they could use a bit of a touch-up. Hint recharges fast.
OK Parts: The storyline is kind of avertage. No voice-overs except for the intro, and nothing really happened in the 40 minutes that I played. Sometimes the hint would prove to be of bad use. It would redirect me to a place I'd already gone before, and then redirect me back to the place I just was. Some things in the HOS were right at the bottom of the screen, so when I tried to click on them, the arrow to go back would appear.
Bad Parts: This happened to me a lot; after the music had finished, the game would freeze for approx. a second. This happend every time the music finished and really annoyed me. #I checked it wasn't my mouse# There are actually too many HOS for my liking. I actually encountered 3 in a row at one stage and just got fed up. There should have been a lot more variety in the game. I didn't like the puzzles. I had to skip them all except fpr the box puzzle #arrange the keys in the right order#. I didn't like how long the skip took to recharge.
A fairly boring game that I didn't really like from the get go. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I don't recommend this game.

Unfinished Tales: Illicit Love Collector's Edition
After the Raven Queen crashes her wedding, Thumbelina must save her prince to reclaim her happy ending!
Elephant games has given us an entirely new HO/Adventure game! Very unique, it's a fairytale... with a dark twist! Can you stop the evil queen and re-claim your love?
Good Parts: Amazing Storyline. Brilliant intro, very unique analysis of the fairytale, with amazing voice-overs. Loved the graphics. Elephant games have done it again! These graphics are so modern, clear, realistic and the list goes on. I really liked the HOS. Although I only encountered two, they are a great challenge, and include interactive objects. Achievements are included. I must say, I did get very distracted by the Four Seasons cube. I just loved the element of this in the game, and I am ashamed to say I spent about 5 minutes playing with it Collectable Butterflies were a great touch. Hint recharged fast and was very helpful. Skip also recharged fast. Strategy guide included, and it was very helpful for when I had the puzzles.
OK Parts: The puzzles. Some were great, but others I did not like. A fair bit of going back and forth.
Bad Parts: For most of the game, it was really hard to figure out what to do. I was constantly referring to the hint and/or Strategy Guide.
I have to say, this game is absolutely amazing. From the second I knew it was Elephant Games, I knew I had to try it, and it has not let me down. A definite winner for me.
I recommend this game!

Have To Say This Is Hands Down The WORST Game I Have Ever Played In My Life!
This is absolutely dreadful. All the reviews sum it up. Big fish need to take this off now.
Good Parts: Really good graphics. Great locations. Nice music.
OK Parts: I didn't really understand why there were so many modes to play. I wuld've thought there would've been "level 1, level 2, etc."
Bad Parts: No storyline! This is what every game needs to make it a game! HOS are stupid. You just have to find numbers 1-40. So easy it isn't funny. When you find a number, unlike most games, it doesn't disappear from the screen so it makes that game a lot harder than it has to be. Got so bored with this game. Levels are repetitive with the only variant being the location.
Hands down, this game is terrible. Could only bear to play six minutes before I quit out of sheer boredom and hatred for this game.
