This is a nice little Match 3 with some extras put in. First, it has a story line which is nice and draws one in unlike many M3 games. Valory is a vampire whose father has gone missing. She is in search of him. On the way she battles foes, earns talismans (power ups) to help break up vampire traps and hidden rooms. This is not a difficult game but one to relax with and enjoy. I played in timed mode, and apparently one can make it more difficult if one plays in "tricky" mode. I did not do this during demo so I don't know how much more difficult it becomes, but it may raise the challenge level for those who feel it is too easy. There is a whole help section that explains gameplay well. All in all a great M3 for a mellow afternoon or just before work.

Not sure how to describe this game. It is sort of a board game where one tries to advance one's "pawn" along a board, but the board is really the game of life. It takes starts in the Copper Age in the middle east, and and the idea of the game is that one tries to create a family and advance them in society with certain skills and to create a new generation and advance that generation through the ages (Iron, etc). Decisions are made that will affect social standing and advancement. It is a bit complex and will take me a while to really understand this game, but it seems like a game that can be played multiple times, choosing different characters and situations for that character. You really should play it and stick with it to get a feel for the game. Definitely do the tutorial and there is an info button that will help to explain. Good Luck, I think I will get this with one of my coupons!
I have not played any of the other games in this series, unlike most of the other folks who have written reviews for this game. Because of that, I feel as if I may have a slightly different view, because I don't have any preconceived notions of how the game should be. I liked this game, even though the story seems rather far fetched. I like the level of challenge, it is not hard, even playing in the hardest mode, but is relaxing because of that. I like the fact that the hand holding is kept to a minimum. I have enjoyed finding the clovers, which aren't always easy to detect. The strategy guide seems to go along with the story. There are some newer puzzles that I have not played before in other games and the HOS are at least mildly interactive. I did not mind the graphics at all, I thought they were well done and really pretty realistic. Very clean scenes and not dark and difficult to find things. This is an entertaining game and I think worth the sale price. I will be getting it.

I really have enjoyed this game, did not get too far in the game during the demo as I was looking for the "ethereal butterflies" to collect and the morphing objects. Also just enjoying the atmosphere.
Premise: Takes off sort of from Enigmatis: Maple Creek where the heroine is looking for the Preacher, and finds herself going to the Pacific Northwest. She runs into an abandoned camper and finds a girl hiding in it and her parents were taken away by a monster and after you help her she disappears too. The idyllic scene once you enter Ravenwood park is marred pretty soon and everything gets creepy.
-graphics are great, as is the animation of the characters, fairly life like. Voiceovers are ok, but I don't like the detective's voice. -Extra content includes: morphing objects to find, and collectible butterflies, as well as many of the achievements for hidden object and puzzle completion. There is a Strategy Guide as well but I did not really use it so I don't know if it follows the story as one plays. There is also an interesting tutorial on Giant Redwoods and Sequoias that I found very nice. I have always wanted to visit that area to see them, this really makes me want to do that! -hidden object scenes are interactive and must find objects to help you get the others. Some HOS are the find pieces of an object to complete the object variety. -puzzles so far have not been difficult. -3 modes of game play, and am playing on expert which they say black bar tips don't give as much info, but honestly, if that is considered not much help, then in casual mode they must do the whole game for you. I felt the black bar tips were too informative, I play these games for figuring out what to do. At least in Expert there are not sparkles for hidden object scenes or interactive areas. -there is a transportable map.
I have enjoyed other games from these developers but since I have played these other games I am familiar with there MO, and they have recycled the music from other games, as well as the idea of finding "tokens" to tell the "story" going to a story board to do so. They also use an evidence board to put all the evidence found in certain categories which I don't see the need for.
All in all the game is quite enjoyable, the gameplay is engaging and flows well, and the extras that we come to expect from a CE are there. I can't speak to the bonus Chapter quality or length of the game as I have not finished the game, but there is a discount today for this game and I have taken advantage of that! Well worth it I think! Happy butterfly hunting!

I played the first in this series and I enjoyed it very much. This one is also very enjoyable. Not necessary to play the first as there is a recap in the beginning to bring one up to speed on the storyline.
Good voice overs and nice cutscenes, graphics are good and music is good, not intrusive and is creepy in a good way. Lots of things to do in this game with various achievements to earn, looking for film strips and morphing objects. The puzzles so far have not been too difficult and there is an option for doing match 3 instead of the HO scene. The HO scenes have some interaction of objects needed to complete. There is a map which transports one to the scene chosen. There are 3 modes of play that can be changed during game play. I enjoy the lack of hand holding in this game when played on advanced/expert mode. Great game and will definitely buy. Thanks BFG!

This is a great adventure, HOG that is not too tough with the puzzles. I played in hard mode and there were no clues as to what to do with objects which made it more fun and challenging.
You are a skier who gets caught in an avalanche, finding yourself waking up in a town in the Alps, but something is not quite right....There are these weird visions...
This game does not have a journal, which is fine with me, as I rarely use them anyway. There is no easily gotten to map. There is one that you have to go back to to reference if you need a bigger picture.
In HO scenes you can choose between finding objects or match 3. I did not do the match three but at least it gives one a change of pace if one so desires.
The cut scenes and voice overs are great and there is even an exhilarating snowboard ride first person!
I am mostly through the game, and it has been lots of fun so far, only tearing myself away for dinner!! The story line is interesting and makes me want to find out what happened to these characters.

This is a card match game, like mahjong as folks have already described. The scenery was very nice, the music was lovely. I found the game to be repetitive and boring. (Perhaps it's the genre, not this particular game?)
The one issue I had, is when the level is finished, instead of just staying in that frame, the frame changes to a different backdrop with a very irritating Waterscapes Solitaire logo and the word "loading". Then it goes back to the next round on the playing backdrop. I would much rather see the word loading on the same background that we play on than go to a different background altogether.
A little bird wants to join his better half but the cruel world won't let him. Collect as many stars as you can while jumping between wires and avoiding pitfalls.
Great Entertainment! No Birdy, don't jump there....

Fun, challenging game, but not too challenging, ok, sometimes it is. This is a great hand/eye coordination and timing game where you have to guide the Birdy through a maze of obstacles. Really lots of fun slinging the Birdy through sharp objects, fending off nasty clouds and riding the bubbles up to the top to meet his love. Good thing Birdy has many lives as some of the levels get tough, but always lots of fun. This game can be addictive, and replay value good to try to make all excellent scores. Unlike other reviewers, my hand did not cramp up and I am on the older side. I enjoyed the music as it became a meditative background, but it can be turned off if it is not agreeable.
