This game is great! You pick up a hitchhiker, let her off at her town and then realize you recognize her. You turn back to the town and the game is on. The town is abandoned, but....
The graphics are excellent, the voice overs are well done, the music is appropriate to the game, the iHOS are fun, the mini games are entertaining. There is a built-in SG which comes in handy (minor annoyance that the SG doesn't remember your place, it always begins with the chapter list). You have a flashlight and camera that are useful throughout the game. There is also a diary with information you gather along the way.
There are a number of places to explore. The main game had a satisfying ending, but one that also led directly to the bonus chapter. The bonus chapter was good and provided a very satisfying ending to the overall story.
The only annoyance to the entire game was the SG always opening to the chapter list. The other bonus items were wallpapers and concept art.
I really enjoyed this game! You are a detective trying to figure out why all the people in a small town are rapidly aging and dying. The graphics are excellent, the music is appropriate, the mini games are fun, the iHOS are good (some are rather dark) and the voice overs are well done.
The built in SG comes in handy a time or two. The diary holds useful information. The ending of the main game led directly to the bonus chapter. The bonus chapter is excellent and completes the story. It also sets up the next chapter (game).
The other extras are music, wallpapers and concept art.
I enjoyed this game! You are being held prisoner in a creepy asylum and have to escape, but there are other prisoners you need to free first. You have to explore various levels of the facility to free yourself and the others. There some twists to the plot that are interesting.
The graphics are nice and the music is appropriate to the game. The characters don't talk to you, so there is some reading...which I rather enjoyed. The HOS are all list style, but nicely done. The mini games are fun. There is a built in SG, but you won't need it much, if at all. there is a diary with interesting information. The ending of the main game led directly to the bonus chapter.
The bonus chapter was nicely done and quite satisfying. The other extras are wallpaper, concept art and music. There are no collectibles.
I really enjoyed this game, a sci-fi thriller where you are sent to investigate a town full of adults who are alive, but frozen in place and a group of odd children.
The graphics are excellent, the iHOS are so much fun (two different kinds throughout the game), the mini games are fun, the morphing collectibles are great (and some are hard to find). The interactive map is excellent and show you where there are "to-do" objects and collectibles. The built-in SG is nice and the diary is helpful.
The main game had a satisfying ending and the bonus chapter filled in the back story.
I really enjoyed this game and highly recommend it.
I recommend this game!

Amazing Adventures: The Caribbean Secret
Legend has it that a Spanish ship loaded with a fortune of gold went missing somewhere in the Caribbean! Find the secret treasure!
This game is all HOS and mini games. There are 25 levels and multiple locations within each level. I really enjoyed the HOS, most of the items are well hidden and a challenge to locate. The mini games are good. They consist of jigsaw puzzles, match games, word finds and rotate/swap tiles to make a picture. They are repetitive throughout the game. I got tired of the jigsaw puzzle mini games, but enjoyed the rest of them. You earn points, skill levels and tablet pieces as you progress through the game. The hint button is helpful and recharges quickly.
You also search for two skulls in each scene. Once you collect 50 skulls the "bonus" level is unlocked. The bonus level consists of HOS and match 3 games.
I highly recommend this game for those seeking a HOS only game.
Overall I enjoyed this game. You are a detective who is trying to figure out what is happening on at the castle on an island. The graphics are acceptable, the music is fine, there are no voice overs (which was a nice change of pace), there is limited dialogue to read and there are plenty of places to explore. There is a journal with story elements and a task list. There is a magnifying glass that show "to do" items in your current location.
The story is interesting and keeps you moving along. The mini games are fun, none are very hard. There "to make" items (potions, soup, etc.), which I really enjoy. The story had a satisfying ending.
My only complaint about this game is how the HOS's were designed. Each scene is dark and a junk pile. The items to locate often hard to find and so tiny you can't even see them. I had to use the hint button at least once on almost every HOS. It became somewhat annoying as the game moved along.
Overall I recommend this game, but be aware that you need a magnifying glass to complete the HOS.
Find the festivalgoer abducted by the gargoyles of Notre Dame and uncover the cathedral’s dark past in this reimagining of the Victor Hugo’s classic tale.
It's the Festival of Fools, a young woman has been kidnapped by the gargoyles of Notre Dame and you have to help the Police Inspector find her. This game is so much fun! The story is engaging, the characters are so much fun and the graphics are wonderful.
The iHOS and mini games are fun to play. The interactive map is nice and the built-in SG comes in handy on times you're stuck. The music is appropriate to the game and the voice overs are well done. The game has a satisfying ending. The bonus chapter is short, but fun and adds to the back story of the main game.
I highly recommend this game!

Escape from Thunder Island
Join the more-brave-than-brilliant aviatrix Rita James on a quest to rescue her kidnapped father in Escape from Thunder Island!
I wanted to love this game, but ended up liking it...most of the time. You are on a mission to rescue your father who is stranded on a deserted island with a volcano ready to erupt.
Pros - Voice overs were well done. Most of the cut scenes were entertaining. The monkey, who is your side kick, was a very entertaining. The first third or so of the game was excellent. The ending was satisfying. Most of the mini games were fun.
Cons - The iHOS were really bad - they were dark, most of the items were small, some were almost off the screen. After collecting the required number of coins throughout the game, the "bonus" was an extra "scene" at the end of the credits. The scene was short and not worth the effort of finding the coins. The game grew more tedious the longer it went. There was no skip button for the mini games. The inventory tray is a mess. When you click through the inventory, it loops around, so you never reach the end.
This is a long game and you have to use the hint button at least once or twice in every iHOS. The graphics in the cut scenes are cartoonish, but well done.
About half way through the game, the tone seemed to change....or maybe I was just tired of the abundance of "find the puzzle pieces and make a picture" mini games.
I played to the end, but am not sure why. I would recommend this game as long as you could get it on sale or as a BOGO. The first third or so of the game was really fun.
You thought this would be just like any other investigation. But now you find yourself lost in a mysterious mansion brimming with strange creatures, comatose colleagues, and mysterious tentacles around every corner…
This game was so much fun! Dr. Blackmore is at it again. This time he is causing nightmares and bringing them to life. You have to free the people trapped in the nightmares and fight Dr. Blackmore.
The graphics are excellent, the music is appropriate, the voice overs are well done, the cut scenes are good, the iHos and mini games are fun. There are animals and potion vials to collect...the animals are a hoot and the hamster cracked me up. There is an interactive map and built in SG. You receive magic goggles which are used at various points throughout the game. There are achievements you earn during game play.
The ending of the main game leads to the Bonus Chapter. Both the main game and bonus chapter were so much fun. The remaining extras allow you to replay the iHOS and mini games, replay music and cut scenes.
This game was fun! There are plenty of things to do...collect coins in each scene to build the map, complete iHOS, find an item or two in each scene that must be assembled by locating pieces of the item in the scene, playing the mini games, talking to characters to fill in the back story, complete your list of objectives/goals and complete all the tasks so you can destroy the evil presence in the house.
The graphics are pretty well done. You can also adjust the brightness of the game, which comes in handy in some scenes. The music is okay. The mini games are fun, some of the iHOSs are hard (which was fun) and the various items you have to assemble was entertaining. The ending was very satisfying.
