I really enjoy the Big City series, but this game was really frustrating. The family has gone to Istanbul and visits a number of locations. The mini games are good. The postcards with information about each location are well done. The HO scenes are what knocked this down a star. Some of the HO scenes were excellent, but some of them were almost impossible. Maybe my eyes are not as good as they used to be, but some of the scenes had objects that were impossible to find. Even using the hint, some items were impossible to see.
If you are not put off by some of the scenes having objects that are almost invisible, I do recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoy the Big City series and this game was no exception. It was so much fun to play. The HO scenes are nicely done. The mini games are a pleasant interlude. I muted the sound (which I do with most games), so can't speak to that. The family visits most of the landmarks in London, which is fun.
If you are looking for an HO game, I highly recommend this game.

I just got around to playing this game and enjoyed it. It is easy to play, but has an interesting storyline. You play as the sister trying to help your brother find his wife who has recently gone missing. The graphics are very nice. The HOGs are nice and there are morphing objects to find. The music got tedious, so I muted it. The mini games were fine.
The bonus chapter was not that interesting, so I really don't recommend the CE version of this game.
If you are looking for a game that has mystery but is not overly difficult to play, I would recommend the non-CE version of this game.
I recommend this game!

I finally got around to playing this game and enjoyed it. It is an older game, but is nicely drawn. You play as a physician called to a town that has experienced several deaths due to an "infection." You are trying to determine the source and save a young lady.
There are numerous HOGs, which I enjoy. There are not many locations to visit, but there is a lot of toing and froing which can become tedious. There is a journal and map. The mini games are not bad for an older game and there is a skip button if you want to use it.
There are not many cut scenes, but they move the story along. The music is unobtrusive, which was a pleasant surprise. The storyline was fine. There is suspense but not terror, which is a nice change of pace.
If you are looking for an easy to play older game, I would definitely recommend this one.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game. You play as a detective trying to help a friend. You travel to Serpent Creek and then the fun begins. The graphics are nice, almost like an old comic. The HOS are easy to complete and the mini games are fine. The voice overs and music are well done. The cut scenes introduce various characters and advance the story. There is a journal that contains objectives, character information and clues. There is an interactive map that shows where you have items to complete.
This game is relatively straight forward and easy to complete, but it is fun to play. If you are looking for a game that isn't overly complex, this is an excellent choice.
I recommend this game!

I really wanted to love this game, but it fell short. You are an archeologist tasked with locating the missing journal of a Mayan Princess. The game consists of two activities: visiting various Mayan locations and solving riddles to locate items, after each group of locations is cleared, you create a picture by rotating the pieces until they are in the correct location. After you complete each level (locations and a puzzle), you are given another page of the journal.
This is an older game so would not display full screen. For me, solving the riddles was easy, but finding the items ranged from simple to impossible (with most being difficult to find). Most of the scenes are difficult to see and some of the items are either tiny or almost invisible. You visit locations several times, so it becomes monotonous about half way through the game.
You have 5 hints for each level, but you must use them sparingly. If you play as the Archeologist, each level is timed. You can elect to play the game without being timed. You are given a fairly generous amount of time and there is a pause button.
If you are looking for a game that is HOS with an occasional picture puzzle...and you have excellent eyesight....you would probably enjoy this game.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game. You arrive at the old Nightingale theater to explore an old mystery involving your Grandfather...then the fun begins. This is a Blue Tea game, so the graphics are excellent and the FROGs are great. The mini games are fun to play. There are morphing objects to find. There are entertaining characters and you travel back in time in some locations. The cut scenes and voice overs are well done and the music is acceptable.
Your journal contains a map, objectives and information on the characters. The map is not interactive, but it does show where there are to-do items. There are a number of locations to visit, which kept things interesting. The story had a satisfying ending.
I recommend this game.

I really enjoyed this game! You have to work to defeat the Phoenix Queen and discover your purpose in the story. This is a Blue Tea game so the graphics are excellent. The FROGs are fun to play and the mini games are interesting.
You meet several people during the game and there is important dialogue with each. There is a minor annoyance with dialogue repeating if you accidentally click on a character. The cut scenes are excellent. There is a map that allows you to jump between areas (but you can't jump until you have been granted access to an area). There are morphing objects to collect as you play.
The story is engaging and has a satisfying ending. The bonus chapter gives more of the back story to the main game and is fun to play. The other bonus material consists of music, cut scenes, wallpaper, mini games and FROGs.
I highly recommend this game.

I liked the first Wonderland game, but this one was not as much fun. The HO were all junk piles and some objects were almost invisible. Also, the list was in a font that was hard to read. The mini games were okay, but some of them were really annoying in that if you made one mistake, you had to start the game over. Thankfully the skip button loads quickly. Also, the hint button loads quickly.
The games starts as a treasure hunt at the mall and then you get to visit Santa at the North Pole. This game would probably be better for older kids. Adults may want to give it a pass.
I recommend this game!

This is the third game in the series. It picks up where the second game left off. This time you have to seek relics and save your people.
I enjoyed this game, but not as much as the previous two games. There are a lot of places to visit, which was nice. The graphics are good, the HOS games are fun and the mini games are good. There is a lot of dialogue and hand-holding during the game, which I could have done without. This game is not complex, so hand-holding was not necessary.
There is a journal and a map. The map doesn't allow you to move between locations, but there are devices within the game that you can activate to move around more easily. There were some clever twists to this game which was nice.
If you are new to HO games or like a game that is easier to play than some, this is a good choice.
I recommend this game!
