I liked this game. It was different than any other HO games I've played. I loved the characters and the storyline. The graphics were amazing and the music great. Finding some of the objects were a bit challenging but I got through it with the help of the robot, who had several methods of finding the items. The only thing I did find was that I had to turn the music down at the beginning of the game because it drowned out when the characters talked. After that the game was very pleasant and bright, which is an awesome change with all the gloomy stuff coming from BF right now.

(SE) I really liked this game. Set in the 1930s and you are a detective summoned to Lake Bliss to solve the disappearance of young man. What you get involved in is more than what anyone could have bargained for. But as the case deepens so do the story, which I really liked. This puzzles were not to hard or easy. The graphics were clear, sharp. The voice overs where will done and the cut scenes fit in the with storyline. I can say I liked this game was not short but kept me busy for a long while. The map was great for when I got stuck. I only used the hint a couple of times when I couldn't figure out what to do next. And the hint recharged fairly quickly. I can say I was expecting creepy and didn't find any in this game. I recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

I came across this little jewel while searching for something different. I enjoyed this game from start to finish. There is not any voice acting so I had to read the script and journal, which I found contained a wonderful story. The graphics are beautifully clear. The puzzles are not overly challenging and there are clues provided to help solve them. No map but the island isn't that big. An added bonus was collecting the puzzle pieces to learn secrets about the island. I do recommend this game.

(SE) Where to start...all I can say is I was blown away by all this game had to offer from beginning to the end. I was completely enthralled by the story. The cut scenes and voice acting were all well done. The characters were balanced and fit with the story, no off the wall acting. All the puzzles were so well done they fit perfectly into and were not to hard or easy. The graphics and music score was excellent. I can say I was looking for something different...I found it. A great story that sparkles and destined to join the galaxy of other games as a classic!

Though I have only played the game for about 30 minutes, I have to comment on it. I can say I was blown away from the start. I was looking for something that wasn't dreary, creepy or dark. Well, I found bright, engaging, and a story that was different than anything that BF has put out lately. I give 5 stars to the developers of this game. The setting is outer space, the story is enthralling, the graphics beautiful and the music perfect. I was glad for just having to read the parts with not voice acting, which was not overly done. The puzzles on casual mode are not easy and made me have to work a bit to figure them out. I liked that I had to look around to find items to complete objectives. There is a map but it doesn't give all the details as to the next objective, which I liked. I liked not having all the bells and whistles. I can say this one is a keeper and it will go onto replay list. I highly recommend this game if you are looking for something different. And I do recommend to play the demo before you purchase any game because no every game is for every one.

Despite all the negative reviews, I can say this game was worth every bit of time and money I spent on it. I know this game is a bit old school, which many don't like because there are no bells and whistles, so it makes "different". (And I happen to like different because it makes for a challenge.) Yes, there is no map but there are bubbles that give you easy clues to find your way around. Exploration is required but that adds to the fun of the game. The graphics were real like and the music was good. Though there was no voice over I found I liked reading the script parts to get the story, which was nice change to having voice actors. And I liked the little ghosts I discovered that gave actual info about haunted places. I do recommend the demo for those that prefer things given to them before buying. And for those looking for something different give the game a try. The more you play the more you'll be drawn in...I was.

This is truly a great game and very refreshing from the content most games has recently given us, which has been so dreary. I liked that I had to look around to discover things, like when adventure games started out. I found the items located in the general vicinity the dream transported me to. The areas were compact enough that it wasn't overwhelming, so there was no need for a map. I found the puzzles not to easy or to hard, though a handful did have me reaching for a pad and pen to figure them out. And clues to help solve them were in the general area. I really like how real people where used in the cut scenes. The cat companion added a nice touch. There were times when I had to figure out what to do but I liked this. The graphics were good quality and the music was great. Above all the story was a beautiful one about love. I highly recommend this game to those looking for an excellent story and that doesn't give you every thing a silver platter. So, if you are one that likes all the bells and whistles I suggest you play the demo first before purchasing this game.

Since I got this on sale I can say it was worth it. I really enjoyed a different take on the Christmas Carol story. Playing from Marley's perspective was refreshing. (And well, scrooge didn't get forgiven this time!) The game was pretty much straight forward. All the scenes and music were very nice. All items were within the scenes provided so no map was required. All puzzles and HOs were not complicated. I didn't use the hint but a time or two and found it recharged in a fair amount of time. So all in all if you are looking for a "twist" on a good Xmas story and game I recommend this one.

I really liked this game. Though it is good vs. evil, it was not dark and dismal like a lot of games have been recently. The story was a great plot of romance, deceit, and murder. The music fit the beautiful scenes. I liked the twist of be able to travel back a few seconds to correct a mistake. The puzzles blended will with the story and game. I can say I liked the bonus chapter because it picked up where the main story left off, which a lot don't do. It was nice to play the part of man rescuing his love instead of the other way around. I can say I am really glad I bought the CE because the bonus content was actually well balanced for a change.

Not only is this a story about a family but a good family game as well. This puzzles are not difficult. The music is relaxing. The scenes are bright and colorful. The characters are charming. Though there is no voice acting the characters tell it through chat bubbles you have to read, which is nice for a change. Most items are found in the scenes provided so no map isn't required. The cuts scenes are nice and add to the story.
