I'm a fan of Elephant games, so I thought I'd give this a try since BF was having a sell. After reading the reviews I purchased the game. From the beginning I was hooked. I wanted to know what happened next. As I progressed through the missions/chapters and read more I kept trying to figure out who or what was behind the young man's and Ann's captures. A city, an orb and lots of crazy clues made it fascinating. I just know this was different than other HOs Puzzle games I played.
I recommend this game!

(CE) This was one of the most splendid games I've played in a long while in this series. A couple of games in this series felt like "humps" to get you through. This round the developers stepped up and delivered an awesome game. I liked every bit of it. The story kept my attention, the puzzles challenged my mind, and the graphics captivated me with their beauty and the music tied it all together. Five stars all the way across.

I really, really like this game! It sucked me in from the beginning. When I entered the mirror fantasy I was struck by the delightful characters I encountered, the beautiful scenes and the amazing puzzles. I enjoyed every bit of the story. This reminded of a childhood fairy tale but one that is for an adult. I loved that you could choose for the PC or her sister to marry the prince in the end...a very nice touch!

I enjoyed playing as Ian & Ellie. It gave the game a great twist! The snail as a pair of clippers was a unique idea, I loved all the challenging puzzles and beautiful locations. I would have felt like I was on a tropical vacation if the story hadn't been adventurous. I like how the characters carried over from the first story and tied in well. All in all another great game from Boom Zap.

The graphics were absolutely gorgeous! I felt I was in paradise. The story was different because you play as a botanist and have a portal lab, which was a great concept. Some of the puzzles where challenging in basic mode. I loved all the different, unique creatures that helped Ellie travel along her journey to find the spores. I found not having all the bells and whistles of the CE made the game really challenging and enjoyable. I had to take my time and find the objects. Some of the puzzles instructions made it a bit tricky to figure out what the puzzle was about, that's when the hint came in handy, which recharged quickly. All in all I highly recommend this game.

I found the warning label should be applied more to Spring of Shadows, the first story of this series. I didn't find this game to have the creepy Shade popping out and encountering dead parents along my journey. The story picked up perfectly. The graphics were beautiful like Boom Zap games have. I enjoyed all the challenging games, even in casual mode. I recommend this game!

After reading the comments about low ratings I had give to a review after playing all the way through. I can say that I was far from disappointed. Like Dream of Ruins (the first game in this series), I found the story captivating, the graphics and music great. Also, the puzzles were a bit challenging(in casual mode), which I liked. I loved the use of the ruby ring to dispense the magic of the crystals. Finding the hidden crowns was an extra. The developers of this series has given their audiences two great but separate stories. (They do tie the two stories together in Ruby Ring by the peddler mentioning she's off to (Aerius), which is a kingdom in the first game). Some mentioned that the game was 'short'. I never noticed this because I was engrossed in the story and kept busy by exploring to find objects, and completing puzzles. I highly recommend this game to all who want a bit of challenge and great story!

I enjoyed every aspect of this game. It has a great story, graphics, music, and puzzles. The elemental glove was a neat idea. I see that many complained about the puzzles being challenging. Well, it is a PUZZLE game. How can you sharpen your mind (intellect) if the puzzles aren't challenging? So, I recommend this game to those who are up to keeping their brains in top shape!

This is a nice laid back game. I enjoyed it. Great after playing games that are intense and challenging. The graphics are good and the music is relaxing. I like how I had to put things back instead of finding them. This gave the game a neat twist. I recommend this to those who want a different kind of HOS game.

The Margrave series is excellent. The Cursed Heart and Blacksmith's Daughter paves a way to a new kind of adventure HOS Puzzle game. I absolutely loved every bit of the story, graphics, and music. The puzzles are challenging and fit very will with the game. I love the keepsake inventory idea...brilliantly different. I also found the developers of the last two game touch something in the human soul, which is something any human can relate too. There are many games out there and these just are so so different that it's hard to compare them to anything else. I just can say I love these and hope they become classic one day in the hall of games!
