Although I thought this game might have possibilities, the first five minutes pretty much convinced me otherwise. Simplistic, boring, with nothing there to grab me and keep my interest, the most positive thing I can say is, well, it does have a map. Didn't even finish the demo before I uninstalled the game. Save your money for a "real" Collector's Edition. Even as a SE I wouldn't waste a free game token on it.
I don't recommend this game.

Extremely disappointed. Having enjoyed the other MCF I made the fatal mistake of NOT checking out the demo prior to purchase. What a complete waste of hard earned money!
I don't recommend this game.

Pros: Easy game played in regular mode. Lots of clear, easily viewable HOS as well as a variety of easy level puzzles. Lot of movement back and forth between areas. A map to refer to would have been appreciated. Decent story line-could, have been more fully developed.
Cons: The spoken voice overs were exceptionally slow. You could read the text three times over, before you were given the prompt to "Continue". Unfortunately, no amount of clicking would advance the printed text until the prompt to "Continue" was given. The time delay between clicking to move to the next area was agonizingly slow.
If the negatives aren't issues for you, go ahead and purchase now. Otherwise, I'd suggest you wait and catch this on sale before you purchase it.
I recommend this game!

Eerie HO game. I'm not usually a big fan of the "puzzles" which are intermixed with the majority of the HO games. However, playing in casual mode, I was able to complete all the puzzles without a skip! I do feel that the story line could have been developed more but, over all, Dark Arcana proved to be a spooky, entertaining diversion for the afternoon.
I recommend this game!

Not being a huge fan of card games, I almost passed this by. So glad I didn't! Choosing to play the relaxed mode, I enjoyed the way the card game and HO scenes were intertwined with the story line. Another great feature was chance to replay a hand for a higher score. While a HOG would still be my first game of choice, this one is definitely a keeper.
