I happen to like this type of Solitaire. I think the developers have learned to give you some of the joker cards, etc. in the beginning instead of you having to wait to buy them. You always start out with the Newbie and then on to the Professional. I've played both parts in many of their games. Their stories are a little obscure but you can get the gist of them. And yes, you are only picking out the gold cards. Try it -- you might like it.
While the hidden objects and mini-games were good there was too much back and forth to pick up objects to use. In one case an object picked up very early is not used until almost the end of the game. The flow of the game could have been better.
This match 3 has everything. You can play timed or relaxed. You have matches, puzzles, find two of something, find stones and build a bridge, and mahjong. You get bombs to push off the board and use; money and supplies to build back the town. Be sure to follow the easy instructions and don't buy ahead. The game also lets you make matches as the icons are falling and they fall fast. You also are rewarded with up and down arrows or side ones when you match more than three several times in a row.
Nice game with good graphics. This game has a variety of hidden objects: riddles; word association pictures and lists. The mini-puzzles are familiar but some are quite challenging -- you can always skip. I have played all Hidden Expedition games and I enjoy the "fact discs".
If you like the Bible story you might enjoy the game; however, it gets boring after some time, as all you are doing is finding so many of a certain tile, or bringing objects down off the board. You do get upgrades: hammer, bombs, etc. to blow apart the usual chains, etc.
Don't understand all the negative reviews. If you like one up/one down solitaire you will like this game. I played first the Newbie and for me I saw the mystery -- look where the home of the so-called culprit is located.
This is a good game where you are challenged to find the gold cards in a one up/one down solitaire game. You can start as a Newbie which allows you to "replay" each level until you reach the maximum number of points then you can proceed to the next panel. There are ten games in one panel. Or if you feel lucky you can start as a Professional but you cannot repeat a panel until the entire game is over. So for more fun I recommend the "Newbie". Give it a try you might enjoy it. Some of the cards have star fish on them and they will give you money to buy joker cards, shuffle cards, or actually sometimes give you a perfect score.
