I love this series and love Grandma games, and somehow I never played this game. Was just sitting in my inventory. First, I would have probably left Laura under the shelves. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. I was done with her the 2nd time she got into a mess. Otherwise, the game is a little different. Different story than we usually see. Lots of to and fro to many places to collect objects. The mini games, for me, were difficult. The HOS were a very nice variety. I'd stay away from Acorn Hospital. I wouldn't want a nurse like the one in this game. I highly recommend it. Love showing Grandma some love.

I think I have the first game in this series, and I never finished playing it because I didn't care for it. I read the reviews for this game hoping there was something out there that would be fun to play. I'm so glad I tried it. I absolutely loved this game. Yes it was very easy, but that's ok. It was relaxing and peaceful, something we all could use more of. Everything about it was just fun. I was able to complete almost all of the puzzles (yay me lol) and I loved the HOS. I'm guessing this was a Christmas game, so reviewers who are complaining it's too easy need to realize that the seasonal games are always easy and laid back. There are plenty of mind bending games out there if that is what you're seeking. I highly recommend this game.
I saw another reviewer say it also. I am stuck at the all seeing eye. Yep, it took me right back from my CE profile right to the all seeing eye which obviously doesn't see anything. I'm really disappointed in this developer as they have put out some magnificent games in the past. Games like this, witch glitches, are not worth the effort to me to "fix" them. I'm passing just as I did with the CE.

I had beta tested this game a while ago and loved it. It doesn't appear that they fixed many things that were suggested. The strategy guide is still misnumbered as far as collectibles go. I did not check it for regular game play. You have a great detective story with lots of twists and turns. In typical Domini fashion, there is a custom mode to customize your game. Very good HOS and puzzles that are not going to make you scream, but can be accomplished with a little brain power. (I even did most of them, and I truly stink at puzzles). I'm really looking forward to this series. Seems all the series out there are sci fi or fantasy, which are not my cup of tea. It's a fairly long game with a great bonus chapter. If I had my choice between the CE and SE for this one, I'd definitely go for the CE just for the bonus game. As always, give it a try in the demo.
Step into the shoes of a Private investigator with short-term memory loss and uncover the shocking truth about his involvement with a serial killer called The Executioner.

I don't think I played the demo of this game. Simply bought it. Bad move. This took me 3 tries to finally finish, and I still haven't played the bonus chapter. I see it gets great reviews, which is why it's so important to demo, as we all have different tastes in games. I'm not sure what it is about this series (the other game in this series was the same for me). It seems to drag on and on going nowhere. This one must have had a gazillion HOS. One after another after another, followed by a mini game. Collectibles were very easy to find. I think Brave Giant had good idea with the story, but it fell flat in my eyes. I suppose I'd recommend the game, but strongly encourage one to demo the game and not be a numbskull like moi :)

It's about time someone gave an honest review of the revered Elephant games. They seem to be put on a pedestal because they made the MCF series. I have never cared for their games with the exception of Grim Tales. I feel they are consistently short games with very short bonus chapters. That leads us to this mess of a game. Looks like someone threw a bunch of ideas into a pot, mixed it up and said lets try to make an assembly line game out of it, plus lets throw in a 15 minute bonus chapter while we are at it. I, for one, expect more from games than what Elephant has been offering. I was able to do every mini game, which is not a good thing because I'm awful at them. There were only a scattering of them and not too many HOS. They resorted to the little mini HOS which, to me, are just time fillers. This could have been such a good series, but with the exception of the first one, they have all fallen flat with this one being the worst. I've been home during this COVID pandemic and have been playing older games and what a difference. No, they don't have all the bells and whistles, but you could sit down and expect a good, long, interesting game. Even though I'm craving a new game, I refuse to support a developer who throws together a mess and reaps the profit. (stepping off my soapbox now) :)
I only played the demo. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I really like the older games in this series much better. They seemed to have more variety. This one I felt like I was doing the same exact thing each level. Demo this one for yourselves. This won't be a buy for me. I'm still waiting for something, anything, in a game to give me that "this is great" moment. Sigh. Getting bored playing my older games.

I'll start by saying fantasy games are not my favorite. Actually, they're on the bottom of my list of things that interest me. However, I try to give each game a fair shake as there are some series that are fantasy which I like. I have never gotten into this series. Not sure what it is about it. I usually love Domini games and have most all of them. I felt like I was on a mission to find artifacts, but I'm not sure why, as there was no real story behind it. Graphics were excellent as usual for this developer. The more the search went on without any reason, the more bored I became. I think I nodded off. A few times. This is one where the player will love it or not. Play the demo and decide if it's for you. It's not for me.
I don't recommend this game.

Myths of the World: Chinese Healer
The Emperor's son has a mysterious illness. As legendary healer Daiyu, you're called to the palace to save him, but you end up having to save yourself!
When this series first came out, I remember loving the games. I believe this one was the first of the series. It's such a great game. Lots to do. Cohesive story. Nice HOS and cool mini games. Somewhere along the line, this series went downhill. Not sure when I stopped buying these, but I have quite a few old ones. I'm happy I replayed this one. Yes, it's just that good. Back then, I rarely bought the CE editions only because they didn't include much that I wanted. If you haven't played this, give it a demo. It's and A plus game.
We rarely get word games, so I immediately had to check this one out. This is a pretty good game. You start at easy and it gets tougher and tougher. It's by an Indie Developer and I love supporting the little guys so it was a purchase for me. Wish there would have been a freeplay section. That would have been fun. There is a hint button that can be used in 2 different ways... a description of the word or the first letter of the word you are seeking. Give this one a try. It's something different that we don't see often on Big Fish.
