I just got around to playing this one. I'm not quite sure how to rate it. It could have been a very good game, however, there were so many puzzles and so much talking, that I felt I never really played much of a game. I am not a lover of puzzles so that was a turn off for me. The HOS were leaning on being puzzles in themselves. If they had cut out most of the puzzles and all the talking I would have really liked this. I do recommend it as I know many love puzzles.

I usually love this series. I was so excited to see a new Dark Romance. Until I started to play. I know this isn't the place for it, but the game was very glitchy. Lagged and did odd things. The story itself was ok. It was just missing something. The characters were very unlikable. The game dragged on and on and became a chore. I actually liked the bonus chapter better than the main game. I had to LOL when the main game was over and it said "Free Bonus Chapter". Umm excuse me but I paid extra for that bonus chapter. It seems the whole production was rushed and I was running around fanning smoke just to make the game longer. I do recommend but demo the game first.

I have liked all the Grim Tales up until this one. I cannot even count how many puzzles and zoom screens I have looked at in this game. If you're going to live in a castle, clean once in a while. I found the game very disjointed and absolutely boring and ridiculous. The bonus chapter was just as bad. There are morphs and puzzle pieces but I honestly even gave up looking for them. Everything was so dark, I felt like my head was going to explode. This is a no from me.
I don't recommend this game.

I miss the times when games had substance instead of every bell and whistle you can think of. This is simply a HOPA game. I had the collectors edition, which I see BFG doesn't offer anymore. There were some collectibles and morphs but not lots. The story... YES there was an actual story... was good. Game play was smooth with bright colors and great graphics. It's not a very long game but well worth it if you haven't played it yet.

I happen to like Domini Games on days I just want an easy game to pass some time. This game is nearly totally linear and is for beginners. The story really isn't that great. Others have explained it well. There are lots of collectibles, interesting HO scenes, and tricky puzzles (at least for me as I am not a puzzle person). I didn't experience any glitches in the game. It has a long bonus chapter. I do miss Morty the cat. Instead we get a very dated camera that can see past events. Morty was awesome and should be brought back. This is a good game for one of those rainy days where you just want to kick back and play something not very taxing to the brain.
The story has been explained so I'll just jump right into the review. I did not like this game at all. Not the main game. Not the bonus game. It was tedious. I feel exactly like dreamre73 said in his/her review. They ran out of steam. But even though they ran out of steam, the game went on and on. The puzzles were plentiful. I didn't like the HO scenes at all. The game is so touchy, you have to click all over to pick up what you want. It really had a non-ending. And the bonus game gets worse. No steam left at all. I don't see this as a valentine's game or one that I would recommend.

I usually love 4 Friends games and this series, but I was confused most of the game and the bonus game. The game was very short. Morphs and the collectibles were very easy to find. Usually in this developers games, you really need to look for them. This game is a few years old but has everything you can want as far as customization, etc. I simply didn't like the story line, the puzzles, or the HOS. I'd say definitely demo the game and go for the SE.

And this one is it. The story was all over the place. It started out well, then just went off in 20 different directions. It's like the writers lost their plot. The HOS were very nice. Puzzles were the usual. The bonus game must have been done by someone else. It was sooo very short and the English was barely understandable as far as directions and hints. I almost stopped the entire game quite a few times, as it truly became so boring and disjointed. This is one in this series I do not recommend.
Although this book is a classic, I never really cared for it. I reluctantly tried the demo and I loved the game. It had what every single game has been missing. Originality. Not the same old same old thing. No 2 prong forks to remove the nails, etc, etc. This game needs some polishing around the edges, but that is easily overlooked when you have a new developer put out something that makes you think and keeps your interest throughout the entire game.
I recommend this game!

Although I purchased this game in 2012, I don;t believe I ever played it. This takes me back to when Elephant put out great long games with substance. It took me about 7 hours to complete the game in casual. There is a witch/demon involved, so if that's not your thing you may want to skip this. HOS and puzzles were good. You do get a map in this game, which you did not in the earlier ones. The hint will give you a vague nudge about where in the game you may find what you are looking for. If you haven't played this yet, or the early versions of the Grim Tales, definitely try them.
