I found this a very difficult game to review. Reviewing based on being a CE, the game offers much. There are plenty of achievements, 3 types of collectibles, some which you can improve your castle, some which tell you about the vampire life, etc. There is a hefty bonus chapter that looks good. There is also the assortment of concept art, wallpaper, etc. These things give the game CE status. The game itself, however, is good. Not great, just good. I really enjoyed the playing of two characters. I love when developers think out of the box and try something new. There are quite a few inventory items you will be carrying around with you. Your journal records necessary things, such as notes found, etc. You will definitely need these to solve the puzzles. The map is excellent. It is a jump map and tells you where tasks remain to be completed. My small gripes: The animations appear to be done by two separate teams. In some, the characters look great. In others, they look like cartoon drawings. This was disconcerting to me. The other is the quietness of the game. These are small things, but for a new game, should be included, as should wide screen mode. The puzzles were original. They were on the medium difficulty side for me, but fun. The HOS were crowded and had many interactive items. Luckily you can switch to a match 3 game, but somehow the match 3 game seemed cumbersome to operate. What I needed to do was forget all the fluff and actually look at the story. I liked it. These dark, spooky games (although this one doesn't seem very spooky with a character named Enron) are my forte. This is a "maybe" buy for me at this point. Usually within the first 15 minutes I know whether a game is for me or not. I played the entire demo and still don't know. Hmmm maybe just having a slow day
I recommend this game!

A fun pic-cross game along the lines of World Mosaics, etc. Some HOS are thrown in along the way. They are a great idea, adding a bit extra to the game. However, they're very very dark and the objects are very small. There are also mini games to solve in each chapter. The pic-cross puzzles themselves are nicely done, easy to see. 2 modes of difficulty. Great game.

This is the 3rd in the Witches' Legacy Series. Very well done. I really enjoyed the first two. This one picks up with a grown-up Lynn and Carrie (who has now adopted Lynn). It does give you a short synopsis at the beginning of the game as to what has gone on in the past, in case you haven't played the other two games. I like the graphics in this one. I don't see the graininess. To me, it's blended, blurred color. There is unobtrusive music in the HOS. You have your choice of 4 modes of play, including custom. I played the demo on the easiest mode. We do have the imp returning to help squeeze into small spots. He also notifies you of current tasks. He actually is not a bad helper. Lynn has met Edward, whom she thinks is the best thing since sliced bread. However, he turns out to be a traitor and a member of the order of the witches. Your goal is to convince these people that Lynn uses her magic for good. The HOS are infrequent, but pretty much junk piles. There is some interaction. You can switch to a simple Match game if you'd rather not find hidden objects. The puzzles were familiar, but puzzles always give me problems since I am not a puzzle fan, but I did manage to solve them all. Elizabeth (previously a bad bad witch) returns to you in doll form and wants to help. Hmmmm can she be trusted? . This looks to be a fairly decent length game. I liked it. I have enjoyed all the games in the series, however, this one is my least favorite. You also have a journal and a jump map. Game play was fairly linear, but again, I played the demo in easy mode. In my opinion, this is the much better choice when comparing SE to CE. I did not feel the CE was up to CE standards. Enjoy

I'm not sold on this one at all. The grainy graphics appear again. Many many (too many) FROGS. I am not a fan of them at all, however, I cannot dislike the game because of them, being it IS a FROG game. I just think there are an overabundance of them. Pretty music, bright (although blurred grainy) colors. Usual story line. This to me, if you take away the glitz, is a standard FROG game. Put your pieces together, move on the next FROG. Many people love the familiar aspect of this game. Fairy tale, FROG, a couple puzzles, etc. I expect more from a game. Also, as a CE, this game is very sorely lacking. This is a pass for me.
I don't recommend this game.

Your daughter comes home from school and goes outside to play when she suddenly lapses into a coma. You find a doctor willing to try a risky procedure where you enter her mind. This is a well done, bright, challenging game with a unique story line. The HOS are list interactive. Very nicely spaced objects in the HOS. The hint button works well if needed. Puzzles are fairly easy but fun. You can travel between your outside world and your daughter's mind to obtain things you may need. You come across some pretty funny characters along the way, although they are creepy in their own way. There is a map that shows where tasks are. You collect pieces of memories which go into your journal. Game ran smoothly for me without glitches. This is one of those "different" games, and I applaud the developers for doing something different. I recommend :)

I have a couple of the other MKFTP games and in my opinion, they're OK. I actually like the changes the developer made to this recent one. There are only so many different things developers can do with these builder games, so I can't comment on that. I did like that you could cue ahead. I didn't like the scroll button so I shut that off. I also didn't like the fact that when you saw a resource available, you sent your little guy to get it, and he only gets a part of it. Then you have to send him back, and back again, etc. I think too they could have done away with the "you don't have enough food" voice too. I enjoy TM games and they are few and far in between lately. This one is just ok, but that's just my personal opinion. Do demo the game and see for yourself. I do recommend this game even though I won't be purchasing it.

I just found out there was a Part II to Enlightenus. Oh happy day :) I absolutely loved the first in the series, and also love this one. It is so unique and different than really any game out there. The level of challenge is high as far as the puzzles and adventure part of the game go. You really do need to think about where to place the objects back into scenes. Some are hysterical. I see they're making a part 3 and will eagerly wait for that one. I highly recommend this game.

I recently found this game, and it is absolutely wonderful. So very different. It is an older Blue Tea game, but the visuals and music are great. The puzzles are very very challenging but fun. You are putting items back into scenes to recreate pages missing from books. If you haven't yet tried this game, I highly recommend at least playing the trial. I loved it

This is a fantasy game where you and your Uncle Alfred were building a portal to shoot you off to another dimension, when lo and behold, Uncle Alfred did not wait for you but used the portal alone. Now he's in great danger and you, the niece, must go into the portal and track him down. You, the niece, are quite the chatter box, and can't help but make comments all throughout the game. But I digress. The colors and graphics are very nice. There is not mouth movement, which kind of bothers me. The people are cartoonish. The music is peaceful and relaxing. I'd say this leans heavily as an adventure game and I do love adventure games. Just really not a great fan of fantasy/sci fi games. However, this one I really enjoyed. The HOS are few and far in between and were done very very well. 2 were list, and one was fragments. The puzzles were unique, something different than the same old same old. I found them to be medium difficulty. However, the last puzzle in the demo ... , the one with creating the recipe, did not work so well for me. I had difficulty moving the spoon, but perhaps it was just me. There are 2 modes of play to choose from. . I do like the game a lot. I found it challenging and different than the usual same old same old that is released. I did however, will wait for the SE. I'm not a big fan of searching until my eyes hurt for morphing objects and except for the bonus chapter, have no need for al the CE extras. Enjoy :)))

This review is solely based on the demo of the CE. My review would definitely give another star for the SE. Your niece has invited you to her wedding, so you hop in your hot air balloon to travel to her, but alas, your balloon crashes. You brush yourself off and walk into town to find everyone gone except a crazed painter who is able to paint things which come to life. But ahh, not to be alarmed. You are equipped with your own magic palette and can paint things to deter these objects. The storyline is interesting and different (actually, very different, not sure in a good way or not). The HOS are varied from put the items back into place, to silhoutte, etc. The mini games I encountered are fairly easy but they were of the annoying variety, such as press one flower petal to get them all to close, but by doing that more open... I so dislike those :) The graphics are great. Cut scenes are nice and the little video clips give you a bit of background story. I didn't notice music, but it could have been there. There is a loud gonging sound whenever you click on an area of interest. That could have been omitted. There are 30 birds to collect. They are easy to find. Other than the bonus chapter and SG, I dont see any extras except for the usual gameplay achievements. I think the game is good. Not great. Not fair. Good. I do not think it warrants CE status. It appears to be a fairly short game even with the bonus chapter. I shall be waiting for the SE on this one. Trial the game and decide. Happy gaming and have a wonderful weekend :)
