Beautiful cartoon-like graphics, crystal clear., A true adventure/puzzle game. Not a HOS in sight !!!!! The game is interesting and challenging. Puzzles were challenging to me. Interactive map with jump feature was excellent, as was the "area complete" bonus. A very very good game.
I recommend this game!

Oh happy day :) I have been waiting for the SE of this game. One game I have totally enjoyed of late. Not too difficult, so you may want to play on a harder challenge level. I love the seaside atmosphere. The HOS are clear and fine. The puzzles are slightly challenging. I may be missing a bonus chapter or achievements by not buying the CE, however, I have moved away from CE as they don't deliver enough to be double the price of an SE. I highly recommend this game. Great graphics and sound.
I recommend this game!

The story begins with a missing woman, Isabella, and her husband. The husband was found washed ashore with a pirate hook for an arm. OK.... sure. You see her ghost and she implores you to search the castle and help her. You have 2 choices of difficulty. A tutorial, which even though I played on casual, I didn't really see it. The game is dark but that's all ok, it's supposed to be a mystery. The HOS I ran across were fine but blurry. The mini games were simplistic. You have a interactive map which also transports you. So far so good. You also have a treasure chest so you can collect coins at every scene. You will need these coins to open other treasure chests to get inventory items. Let me tell you, those coins are hard to see. The map will tell you if there are coins in certain areas, and the treasure chest will open in each scene and not close until you find all the coins. The controls are very very touchy. When I would try to click on items, I would end up traveling to a different place. This became extremely annoying. The game had no flow to it. You were here, there, and everywhere, accomplishing little. I spent most of the time going back to where I wanted to be originally and trying not to click too far left or right or low and be sent to a different area. I think this one needs to seriously go back to the drawing board. I was excited to see a pirate themed game figuring how can they get a pirate story wrong? Oh sadness.... not for me. I do not recommend this game.

This was a very slow moving game, but in a good way. It was set in the snow and the sound effects of the wind and snow was chilling. More of an adventure game than HOG although there were 2 types of HOS.... List, and silhouette. Other reviewers have described the story and game play. I like the fact that you are on your own to figure out what to do. No annoying hints telling you exactly where to go or what to do. Also, you must think about where you may use an inventory object as it is not readily apparent. The mini games were mediocre. Challenging to some extent, but not hair-pulling, screaming into the night difficult. I enjoyed it.
I recommend this game!

What a great game !!! For adventure lovers, this is a must try. No HOS ( yay) :))) Not at all difficult. Recommend for those who are exploring adventure type gaming. There is also another game in this series which is equally good, but I like this one a little better.
I recommend this game!

I haven't played any other of the Empress of the Deep games, so I didn't really know what to expect. I found even with the tutorial turned off, they gave constant hints and directions about what to do. The cutscenes were way overdone. Too many and too much talking. Some graphics were nice and clear, some, especially the multitude of HOS, were blurry. The voice of the princess was annoying and not believable. The games were simplistic. There was a map, but non-interactive. I just found the whole game... the story-line, the talking, the cut scenes... too much and not to my liking at all.
I don't recommend this game.

This is an older game that I've just played now. I was thoroughly impressed and surprised at how good it was. I loved it. Humorous, good adventure, good puzzles (easy-ish), not too many HOS, great graphics. Give the demo a try if you haven't. I loved it.
I recommend this game!

Vanessa is in Italy to find her missing grandfather and save the world from evil. You, as Vanessa, must roam around a very large cathedral to figure out how to save the world and your grandpa. Luckily there is an interactive map or you could be lost for days. LOL. There is a journal. The hint button fills quickly and gives you directional arrows outside of the HOS. I ran across only a few HOS and they were simple. I found the mini games ti be of medium difficulty but very confusing with no real useful directions. I would definitely wait for the SE, as there are no achievements, etc. Just a bonus chapter and a SG that was poorly done. I liked the story line and where the story was going. What I didn't like, and this may just be me, but everything seemed SMALL, even with the nice graphics. This game is a maybe for me, but that is all based on my personal taste. Demo it and you may love it !!!
I recommend this game!

I must say I liked this game. Something different. Yes, it looked like an older game. None of the sound effects, morphing objects, etc. However, I enjoyed the way the game played out. You and your fiance crash your motorcycle, are brought into Frankenstein's castle, and meet the ghost of another girl who had the same fate many years ago. There are achievements to earn and a journal with tasks that are fun. There is no map but it's easy to find your way around and you are basically told what to do and where to go, so there's no wandering around. There are no HOS per se, however, you do need to pick up items that you need to complete tasks. The music is horrible, the voices are horrible LOL. However, something about the game intrigued me.
I recommend this game!

I own Rescue Team 1 and 2, and rarely play them because, frankly, they're quite horrible. I must say #3 is an improvement. There are more things to do, the timer seems a bit more lenient. You can click ahead in this game and it does show where you click... the previous games did not. It has 18 achievements you can earn. You can also hire rescued citizens for the houses, food stands, etc., although that kind of confused me. I'm not sure why I want to hire them. It doesn't really say why you'd want to do this. If you've played the other 2, the graphics are the same, just with some more water and vegetation laying around. The voices saying "wow", etc., are annoying. So another no go for me on a TM game. I keep hoping I come on BF one day and find a good one. Today is not the day.
I don't recommend this game.
