The story begins with a car crash where you and your daughter (who looks like a doll in the game) go to the nearest cabin and are greeted by a witch who spikes your tea and steals the doll-like looking child. The visuals were awful. No VO. Too many HO scenes with misclick penalty. The mini games were simplistic. This game really missed its mark with me. I wouldn';t recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

This was a very good game. Great creepy storyline. More adventure than HO, yay!!! No penalty for misclicks. Great voice overs. You do get a map, however, it is not transportable. It tells you where there is a task or puzzle that needs to be done. Soooo, you spend a large large part of the game running back and forth and back and forth over 3 floors of this scene. Because of that, the rating went down in my book. I do not think a good game should consist of the ability to run back and forth through multiple floors and rooms to complete tasks. The mini games were good. Great game all in all.
I recommend this game!

I managed to traipse through the demo, barely. I love HOPA games. I loved the snowy look and the look of the abandoned town. However, finding 15 objects in the beginning that had no use at all didn't impress me at all. I'd find a tool, use it along the way, and find out, oh hey, that';s not good enough... I need another tool. That's not adventure. That's fill to make the game longer. I'd rather play a game that is 2 hours long and interesting and that makes sense than one such as this that's more like a wild goose chase.

I absolutely love the Grim Tales games. This one, The Legacy, is just as good as the others I've played. There are 3 choices of difficulty. Hint recharges quickly. You have an interactive map that transports. Non interactive HOS, and not too many of them so as to interfere with the game. Many many rooms to look through. The colors are bright, the music is slightly creepy in keeping with the story line. Puzzles are medium difficulty, although some made no sense to me at all. There is a skip button if needed. I recommend this highly.

So, yes, the graphics were very very amazing. The seasons were magnificent. Three choices of difficulty available. Not many HOS which I was very happy about. Most of the mini games/puzzles, made no sense to me at all. The background music was very nice. I felt totally overwhelmed by the game. Not the difficulty of it, just so much "stuff" placed all over. Objects needed to be put in the exact spot for them to work. This one did nothing for me. Uninstalled it.

I am not a romance story fan, however, there were so many positive reviews on this game, I did try it.... and loved it. So few HOS!!!! I was in heaven. The story is sweet, music is relaxing, tasks are not too challenging and puzzles are doable. There is a journal and a hint button that is useful if you need it. Just a nice relaxing game, without looking for miniscule, dark, HO.
I recommend this game!

This one gets 2 thumbs up from me. Very original and unique. The color was bright and crisp. HO scenes (which were not overwhelming) had objects that were easy to find, no interactive items. Quite a few mini games which were pretty challenging. An interactive map that tells you where you are and lets you jump to a place where action is needed, which was extremely useful as there is a lot of back and forthing. A quiet game as far as the music, but loud appropriate noises were more effective, such as a chainsaw, etc. I highly recommend this.

When I first started playing this game, I thought I would really like it as it had all the elements of a good game. However, by the middle of the demo, I couldn't wait until the demo ended. It seemed that as soon as I finished one cluttered, dark, miniscule HOS, another popped up. And then another. And then another which I needed to use a flashlight for. There is a misclick penalty which made it worse. The inclusion of that many HOS took away from the entire purpose of what I was supposed to be doing in the game and I totally forgot the storyline.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm in the minority here, but I didn't care for this game at all. There was no plot. The HOS, of which there were many, were dark, drab, and grainy. Very very few puzzles. On the plus side, the hint button refilled instantly, and there was a map. Thank goodness for the map because I wore out 3 pair of running shoes. I could see how many would like this, but it wasn't for me.
I don't recommend this game.

You are sent by your boss to investigate the haunted manor. You meet a watchman who is mega-creepy. There is a journal. No map. I don't believe there is a choice of difficulty levels. There were many many HOS, which were dark and grainy with very small items. There is a lot of running back and forth between locations. The only savior to that problem was a prompt that said there is nothing left to do here now. The story was good and creepy. The game did not grab me. Glad I did the demo first as I found it very tedious.
